New Ronald Reagan Statue Vandalized in California

A life-size statue of former President Ronald Reagan is tilting at an odd angle in California after someone apparently tried to make off with it.

The bronze statue was just dedicated last month in Newport Beach, Calif. It remains in the park, but is broken off its foundation and is tilting forward after someone attempted to pull it down, the Orange County Register reported.
Newport Beach Police received a call around 5:30 a.m. Sunday of a vandalism in progress, KTLA-TV reported.
A witness said a man wearing dark clothing tried to attach a chain to the base of the statue. The chain was connected to the back of his truck and he seemed to be trying to pull the statue down. He was unsuccessful and was seen fleeing into the surrounding neighborhood.
“Either someone really didn’t like Reagan or they tried to steal it so they can sell it for scrap metal,” said police Sgt. Kirk Jacoby told the Register.
Police are looking for suspects and officials have not released an estimate of how much repairs will cost. The statue was dedicated a month ago in honor of the 100th anniversary of the former president and California governor’s birth. It was commissioned for $60,000, money that was raised through donations.

When Bush the second wanted to cut taxes during a time of war, one of his economic advisers questioned the wisdom of increasing the deficit when spending was on the rise. Rumsfield shot back, “Reagan proved that deficits don’t matter!”
Does anyone really think that Reagan was a conservative? Most Reagan apologists blame his spending on the Cold War. How many troops did we have fighting that war again?

He was pro-choice until he wised up. Even his son spoke on his dad’s stance in a 2007 Human Events article. If states want to impliment an Obamacare clone they can… however it should be noted that NO FEDERAL TAX DOLLARS SHOULD BE USED TO FUND A STATE PROGRAM AS THEY COME FORM TAXES PAYERS ACROSS THE NATION. You know whats really amazing? Obama has added more to the national debt in 3 years that Reagan did in 8 years. Obama has even surpassed Bush in less than 3 years.
As a matter of FACT Obama Added More to National Debt in First 19 Months Than All Presidents from Washington Through Reagan Combined, Says Gov’t Data. I sure am glad we only have to put up with Obama for another 12 months. I wonder how many more Trillion he will sink us in debt before then?

We had a national debt of about 700 billion when he took office, when he left office we had a national debt of about 2.1 trillion. Do I have to do your research for you? I don’t think so. Do your OWN research.
As most analysts predicted, Reagan’s massive $749 billion supply-side tax cuts in 1981 quickly produced even more massive annual budget deficits. Combined with his rapid increase in defense spending, Reagan delivered not the balanced budgets he promised, but record-setting debt. Even his OMB alchemist David Stockman could not obscure the disaster with his famous “rosy scenarios.”
Forced to raise taxes eleven times to avert financial catastrophe, the Gipper nonetheless presided over a tripling of the American national debt to nearly $3 trillion. By the time he left office in 1989, Ronald Reagan more than equaled the entire debt burden produced by the previous 200 years of American history.
So all your childish stupidity is for naught. The proof is in the pudding.
And who’s talking about Obama? This isn’t an Obama-Raygun comparison!
