Posted on February 6, 2011 at 2:42pmThe truth to a liberal is what they want it to be, not what the facts substantiate. The reason the Tea Party is a force is the high percentage of Reagan democrats that are part of their ranks. The lies and distortions from this administration have reached the point that most thinking people realize they are incapable of the truth. When the corruption is exposed, the lies will become irrelevant.

Posted on February 6, 2011 at 2:36pmThis is INSANE… Peggy is right. Just look at his famous speech in support of Goldwater, and you can see that his conservative values & beliefs were consistent. How stupid for the left to think it can re-write history, in this day & age. We have the internet, youtube and so many other tools to quickly dis-prove all this lunacy… how foolish to think they can get away with this in 2011. This isn’t 1990, when the left controlled TV, newspapers and magazines… and Rush was the only conservative on the radio.
This is just more evidence that conservative must be loud and vigilant in our pursuit of the truth!

Posted on February 6, 2011 at 4:39pmI agree to this to a certain extent. Reagan stood by his values. He operated by his values. But occasionally he did things that were umm, i wouldn’t say UnConstitutional, but moreso in between the lines of good and not so good. Reagan is one of my favorite Presidents. but my top two would definitely have to be Thomas Jefferson. Why? Because he strictly followed the Constitution down to the letter. He was an ETHICAL MAN. A MORAL MAN. A WISE MAN. And a CHRISTIAN MAN. My other top two president would have to be Andrew Jackson. Despite his mistake in removing the indians from their own god given land, he was generally a good president. It was him who got us out of debt during his presidency NOT OBAMA. And another of my favorite presdents Lincoln, followed in his example for getting us out of debt. You want to know how. I’ll bet you do. Andy Jackson came up with the theory of lowering taxes and widening our income tax base. Unlike the dummies Capital Hill, Old Hickory Face had a CLEAR head. Andy Jackson figured out that taxes are not the problem it was the businesses. So long story short. Lower taxes, create more jobs. And he made America a debt free America for the next thirty seven years. Then the Civil War occured and America was in debt again. However old Honest ABe was smart and did the exact same thing. And after about 8 years we were debt free again for about another 58 years. And then Truman screwed us over. And ever since we have been in trouble. Two things. I hope you enjoyed my view on things. And two i would like if I could get some feed back.

Posted on February 6, 2011 at 5:10pmCorrection: Ronald Reagan was the most conservative President of the SECOND HALF of the 20th Century. There have been other Presidents who would be considered wildly radical conservatives now. Grover Cleveland was one, and Reagan’s inspiration for his own policies, Calvin Cooledge would have been considered by many of today’s republicans to be “Reagan on Steroids”. Reagan was a great man, and the man we needed in the White House at that time, no doubt about it. But Reagan comes from a long line of outstanding conservatives who have been there to stand between the usurpers of the Constitution, and the people. I do not wish to lessen the importance of Reagan’s legacy on his 100th birthday….but I do wish to point out where he and his policies come from in the past…

Posted on February 6, 2011 at 5:18pmJust my 2 cents, when Ronald Reagan was elected President, the revenue for the Fed Govt was around 500 billion(believe that) and after cutting taxes it was close to 1 trillion. T he congress spends the money, so the spending that went up was largely due to congress renigging on its pledge to cut spending. And all this love for Reagan by the left, they hated him then and most likely still do.
Report Post »Now a pet peave of mine, in response to the post saying that Andrew Jackson removed the indians from their God given land, really, so what you are saying is that the indians that were living in North America had lived in the exact spots they were in from the beginning of time, BS. THose indians came from somewhere fought wars just like we did for it, over control of the land. Its like the mexicans saying that the west and southwest should be given back to them because we stole it, once again really? Did the mexicans live there since the beginning of time or did they revolt against the Spanish who had occupied those teriitories, so what we should do is give the land back to the folks that the spansish took it from, and then give it back to the folks that that those people stole it from……, people have been fighting over land since the biggining of time, there are no original inhabitants with God given rights to ownership. Rant over, May God Bless Ronal Reagan and this Republic.

Posted on February 6, 2011 at 6:41pmTo Alexander Warnke……I am as conservative as they come and have the utmost respect for what you said. At the risk of sounding picky though, I would point out that Thomas Jefferson was not a Christian man in the sense I think you mean. Read his quotes and ideas on the Christian faith……..”I do not find in orthodox Christianity one redeeming feature.” — Thomas Jefferson. In fact he tried to edit the Gospels to his liking. Although he did believe in a Creator, hence his references to God, he did not believe in the personal God, Jesus or salvation by faith that I think both you and I subscribe to. Just for your sharpening. Let me know if you have proof otherwise….Thanks and God bless

Posted on February 6, 2011 at 6:57pmMy stance on why the USA is in debt is because our economy has been set up to be a perpetual debtor economy. Central banks from Europe were involved in the earliest attempts and then thrown out only to be allowed to rise like a phoenix into the monster we have today….The Federal Reserve. With the principle of fractional banking you and I are taxed perpetually and unknowingly, while our money continues to devalue. It is literally theft through a legalized Ponzi scheme. It won’t matter what we do with taxes at this point because are money can be artificially inflated and deflated……….‘Let us control the money of a country and we care not who makes its laws.’ This is the maxim of the house of Rothschilds, and is the foundation principle of European banks. If a country and its people are mortgaged for the assessed value of their property, and the bankers control the money, the bondholders and not the people own that country. It makes no difference whether you call it a republic or a monarchy.” Read on The Federal Reserve was created in stealth on Jekyll Island by a handful of powerful international bankers and fraudulently pushed through congress. Read one of Woodrow Wilson’s last quotes before leaving office……… I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country. A great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system of credit is concentrated. The growth of the nation, therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of a few men. We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated governments in the civilized world. No longer a government by free opinion, no longer a government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a government by the opinion and duress of a small group of dominant men.

Your remarks on the Indians leaves something to be disired to put it charitably. Yes, a lot of Indian tribes were nomadic, however, by the time of Jackson’s presidency, some Indians, especially the Cherokee here in Georgia where I live, were not nomadic and had established towns where they had their own system of government mimicking our own government and published their own newspaper. The Cherokee Nation truly wanted to live with the white man and Andrew Jackson had no desire to allow this to occur. After the Marshall court ruled the Indian Removal Act was unconstitutional, Jackson famously quipped that Marshall had made his decision, now let him enforce it and Jackson ordered Winfield Scott to force the Cherokee off their land and history has recorded this forced migration as The Trail of Tears. The Cherokee were a sovereign nation and the courts repeatedly upheld this fact and Jackson’s actions towards the Cherokee Nation is a bloody stain on American History.
Blitz, your callousness towards a sovereign nation of human beings is breathtaking and sad. You really need to do some reading because a brain is a terrible thing to waste and I believe Reagan would not be happy that you invoked his memory in this way.
I know my comment is off topic, but someone needed to tutor ol’ Blitz in some American History that he obviously missed while attending school. That is assuming he did attend some accredited schools.
