    Rosie says, “Here I am, this peace loving, anti-war mom…..” That’s what the US military is. The US military is the greatest force for peace that has ever existed in this world. Looks like her son has figured that out. Maybe she will too one day.

    I think the kid understands better than Rosie that you can’t always solve everything with LOVE. Especially, when the opposition wants to behead you no matter how kind you are to them. Sometimes war is the only answer and if he knows about Patton then he understands this.

If anyone’s sons or daughters are getting their limbs blown off in service to their country it is the fault of those who sent them there… Both the Bush and the Obama Administrations. You can’t count Congress because those political cowards long ago voluntarily gave up their constitutional responsibility to declare war before U.S. troops could be sent in harm’s way. The military never wants to go to war, because it is soldiers, sailors, Coastguardsmen, airmen and Marines who are maimed and killed in wars. We are currently fighting 3 wars under a President who won the Nobel Peace Prize. Welcome to the monkey house.

      I actually DO believe there should be a draft like Israel. Appropriate positions for each person, military or other service to the country. But a time to learn, grow up and realize how fortunate we are to live in freedom and to pay back something toward that freedom. The loafers and blood suckers will never understand that because they are “entitled” to whatever they want–good luck! Some day they will reap their “benefits.”

    For Rosie, a defensless country would be better. The military is the most important thing our Federal government provides. Most of the other departments can be closed and we would be fine. Maybe her son will become a constitutionalist and a supporter of our freedoms someday. We would be proud of him.

      Oh, did a strike a nerve? Well, I’m not gonna apologize as I believe you reap what you sow. I‘m all for civility in debate and don’t default to the argument ad hominem UNLESS that is the route the opposing party wants to go down. Rosie is a smug, ambushing hypocrite.       I welcome spirited debate and intelligent discourse. Rosie’s problem is she comes to a battle of wits unarmed. I refer you to her inability to understand basic metallurgy. Those handguns carried around by her hired thugs aren’t mined from the earth and cobbled together by gun gnomes; they begin as molten metal in foundries. Maybe she could speak with Tom Selleck again on the not only the value of firearms for private protection but aslo address the crazy notion that steel melts.
      I’m actually surprised Rosie is allowing the kid to think for himself. Rosie appears to have a problem with others having views opposed to her stances… even if her stances make her look foolish and uneducated. But by all means, defend this self-important troll. I‘m SURE she’d return the favor.

      I don’t know if I could say for sure the environment is “sane”. I’m a medic in the army right now, and I’ve gotten calls to go and watch some pretty strange means of entertainment to make sure no one gets hurt. But indeed, a far more fufilling environment, yes.
