Donald Rumsfeld Speaks About Cancelling NY Times Subscription: ‘Repulsive’

Last Sunday, New York Times columnist Paul Krugman’s insensitive blog post filled with strange and insulting accusations about President Bush, Rudy Giuliani and others sparked a controversy that continues to unfold.

Former Secretary of State Donald Rumsfeld found Krugman’s comments so offensive that he tweeted he was canceling his subscription to the NY Times. On Tuesday, Rumsfled spoke out for the first time about his reaction.

During an interview with radio talk show host Joe Pags that aired on WOAI, Rumsfled referred to the Times story as “repugnant,“ ”repulsive,“ ”untrue,“ and ”terrible.” He told Pags about he has been reading the Times since 1950 when he was in college, but Krugman’s comments finally led him to the conclusion that “It’s been a long run, but it’s over:”

The only thing the NYT was good for was the crossword puzzle. Found better ones on the net. Don’t have to waste my money!

I suspect that in the end the New York Times will only have one subscriber left: Sheryl Crow, who doesn’t want to waste toilet paper.

Now obama has his own website where people report smears against him. What is next, fema camps for those that have spoke out against him?

This is so unpresidential. Is he going to use the power of the DOJ to go after people?

War crimes that you may not know, but Bush knew. Thus the immunization vs. prosecution in the ICC. Authorizing numerous violations of the Geneva Convention (tortures and executions,) perpetrating the war of aggression in violation of the U.N. charter…Bet you don’t see him stepping outside of this country, Cheney won’t either. They, and George, are home-bound, and they know it.

We’ve got a prez. that cow-tows-n-bows to marxists, communists and dictators; and he and his amazon woman are spending our money as though it was theirs, and are against all we stand for in this country. This prez. needs to be impeached. He and his czar cronies, and bud, Soros, are doing EVERYTHING they can to turn us into a third-world country. You should be disgusted with what is going on in the here and now. NY surely showed it’s opinion with the vacant weiner-seat, huh? 2012 cannot come soon enough! Tea, anyone?
