‘Runaway Slave’ Documentarian: Liberals Using Same Tactics as Former Slaveowners on Black Conservatives

Glenn Beck welcomed Reverend C.L. Bryant and Deneen Borelli, the documentarians behind the controversial new documentary about black conservatism, “Runaway Slave,” to his show tonight. The discussion hinged mostly on the controversy surrounding the documentary, and the hypocrisy on the part of liberal organizations like the NAACP, who refused to defend black conservatives like Bryant and Borelli.

C.L. Bryant and Deneen Borelli, Documentarians Behind Runaway Slave, Say Liberals Like Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson Acting Like Slave Masters

“I am the great-grandson of former slaves. Now, they were trapped in a system. Many of them had the courage to run away from that and gain freedom,” said Bryant. “They would come back to the plantation and tell those who were still enslaved, ‘you can be free.‘ But what would happen then is the same thing that’s happening now with Al Sharpton, as Deneen mentioned, and Jesse Jackson, once they realized that you’re there telling them something different from what the system is dictating, then they have to make a public example of you. And that’s what they try to do with Deneen and I by publicly calling us out and calling us names.

A member of a roaming pack of dogs, led by the Alpha male or “master” who has strayed from the pack for a while, will be visciously attcked and often killed when returning to his original pack.
    Sound familiar?

Slavery historically has never been a black and white issue (pun intended).
Today, it can be defined as the progressive erosion of individual rights and liberties in exchange for real or perceived security and comfort. It empowers the giver with varying degrees of control over our every activity.
It began with the breaking up of the family unit, by sending the father away, then by taking children from their mothers, and making all three dependent on the central authority figure or “Master”.
The master, for room and board, controlled what his subjects ate, said, and did. Where they went, who they associated with, where they worked, how far they could go and with whom they could mate.
Master’s life style in no way resembled that of his slaves. He was attended to for all his needs. His transportation, his clothes, his food, and every aspect of his life, was exclusively paid for by the labor of his slaves.
His position as master was arrived at by inheritance and custom, and became entrenched by manipulation of a system which he controlled.
We have allowed our elected officials to become our masters’. They now, through the 60000 page tax system can and do tell us what to eat, what to drive, what fuel to use, what to produce, what medicines to take . They also are trying to redefine right and wrong, marriage, the second amendment…and on and on.
All for the “greater good” of I would postulate, the new and improved plantation.
In short, I would argue that w

A man might enslave another man’s person by force; but, one cannot enslave a man’s spirit unless the man is willing. It is too bad that liberals have convinced some minority men and women to place the yoke upon their own necks and volunteer to be enslaved. It requires deliberate ignorance of truth among the enslaved – and the pay-off is so pitiable. If I were inclined to sell my soul to a movement like liberalism, I would require much better benefits than free food and housing and a pat on the head when I recited my lessons.

LBJ be damned for the Great Society that made it even harder for black Americans to get out of poverty, making them wards of the state instead.

Kudos for black Americans who embrace conservative values of hard work and education to lift themselves and their community out of poverty and indentured servitude to the state.

This segment was awesome. I believe that we can reach more blacks than you think. There are many middle class blacks that are simply uneducated about history and don’t know any better. If we could educate them, we could open up many minds and hearts to a different way of thinking and believing.

You are desperate to have Obama re-elected, so the only thing you can do is constantly cry racism at the Tea Party. You know if you lose the black vote, Obama will not be re-elected. So you take it upon yourself to spew your own version of racism because of your personal agenda. You don’t really care about black people.

So according to you watchdog, and correct me if I am wrong…..any black person who goes out and educates themselves, takes advantage of the plethora of opportunities afforded to minorities in this country, forms their OWN opinion (not the opinion they have been told to have by the likes of Sharpton and Jackson), these people are sellouts? Well, at least the sellouts in the black community aren’t leaches on society and rely on everyone else to take care of them and theirs!

I worked with some black police officers back in the day when I was on patrol. These guys and gals were good cops, brave, compassionate, went the distance and beyond. From them I learned that you judge people on values alone, color is just a footnote. On patrol, I’ve had my butt saved by black police and civillions and threatened by some in the black community, and just the same for white people and police. I saw how isolated they were from the black community in our city, they were slammed, insulted and a caudre of other putdowns by the mainstream black community for being a police officer along with being shunned. It was like being in a click in highschool and the black police did not fit in. No one, or very few, had the guts to say the black cops were an asset to them, they were just mindless drones of the “community leaders”. It still makes me mad.

I don’t see the issue the way they do. I see black Republican being attacked as Uncle tom and traitor of the black race. As if the Democratic party and blacks were one in the same. So few black even know that it was Republican’s that fought to free them from slavery,it was Republican that pushed civil rights to the ceneter stage and fought for blacks. Or that is was Democrats that changed them in the south,It was Democrats that fought against civil rights. Jim Crow was a law put forth by democrats.
Fact is Democrats have tried to use any and every thing they can to keep blacks on the plantation.

Really enjoyed these two conservatives on Glenn’s show last night . They are real proof, smart hard working African Americans can do very well in this great country. I truly hope they can give more blacks hope and knowledge to get off the old sick plantation attitude of the Democrats and become more responsible and enjoy a much higher quality of life. Everytime I see successful proud African Americans like these two, I am impressed and very hopeful more blacks will change politically and economically. Get behind good, solid conservative Americans like Rev. C.L. Bryan and Deneen Borelli. The message has to get out to free the Black Americans who are still bound on the plantation of liberalism and the Democrat Party. I can still hear Rev. Martin Luther King’s voice clamoring for freedom, and he was not talking about the bondage of the Black Americans today that false freedom emanating from the false prophets of the Democratic Party. It is pure, unadulterated slavery.

Wake up, Black America! The true freedom and liberty is yours for the gleaning, but your in the wrong field, the slave’s field where the cotton does not even grow any more. Move over to the fertile field, where you can be your own boss, start your own business, build your own company, visualize your own dreams, put your feet to them and see them manifest right before your very eyes. It is yours for the taking if you really want it.

Welcome to the land of conservatism, where we provide friendship and a hand up, not a hand out. You will be stretched and challenged, not coddled and pampered, but here you will find true friendship, and your color and my color has nothing to do with it. This is the real America. Discard the false promises, the lies and deceptions of the Liberal Left, and welcome aboard to freedom, liberty and opportunity. It is not a mirage, an imagination, or a false hope. It is Truth!

Interesting to finally understand that the liberals have constructed a plantation called “social programs” whereby the poor are enslaved to the liberal base. It’s been going on for close to 60 years. I’m not sure, but I believe the slaves will rebel in 2012 elections and rightfully so. They have been told to hate those citizens who provide the social welfare dollars and that those citizens are “keeping them down”. What a crock!
