Running of the Bulls in Arizona?

(The Blaze/AP) It’s not the streets of Pamplona, but a few hundred people got a similar thrill by running from bulls in the Arizona desert.

Nearly two dozen bulls chased more than 200 people in the first of several runs Saturday on a quarter-mile, fenced track in the small town of Cave Creek. Several runners filmed the experience and have posted video from the run on Youtube:

Based on the annual running of the bulls in Spain, the weekend-long event drew dozens of spectators and hundreds of runners – some who paid to do all the runs.

Similar to Spain, numerous runners showed up dressed in red and white.

Organizers say the Cave Creek version is safer because the bulls are rodeo animals. However, participants had to sign a lengthy liability waiver and medical form.

Not the brightest of activities. But, I guess lots of us do things for the thrill.
Just wait until the left rears its ugly head and OUTLAWS this. It is just a matter of time. Libs cannot help themselves. They honestly think they know better than you how to live your life, and are hell-bent on forcing you to live by THEIR dictates. That and, with socialized healthcare, we cannot condone such unsafe, and inherently risky activities. Bull running will be illegal, as will skydiving, followed by motorcycles. They will ignore “smart cars” and other dixie-cup vehicles.(no offense intended to Dixie Cup or to the South). Then, they will require 4-point harnesses in showers to eliminate slip-and-fall accidents. They will ignore hikers who bought a pair of boots this morning and hiked into the desert and got lost. They will ignore skiing and snowboarding and skateboarding.
When obama and his socialist / communist buddies DO outlaw bull running, the immigrant community will see what the libs are REALLY all about!

I also got a mental image of Speedy Gonzales and his cousin Slowpoke Rodriguez – Speedy rescuing Slowpoke in the midst of hooves. LOL

Sizzla’2220 – that was in Cave Creek Arizona – the least Euro Country in the U.S. It’s a cowboy town filtered with rich capitalists. Amen. I hope to live there someday. DMX even wanted to live there. Until he fought the law and the law won. It’s a beautiful town w/ lots of rich white men on Harleys. (Sidenote: DMX rode ATV’s) It’s America and I love it. Let them run from mini bulls if they want. BTW, the AZ debate in December should NOT be held in a nice, plush auditorium. It should be held at an AZ/Mexico checkpoint or on the murdered AZ rancher’s property in the sand. Something has to get the point across to the nieve.

  Visited Cave Creek once. Isn’t it about 95% white? I guess nothing wrong with that, I just prefer a little diversity in my life and not just in the staff at the local restaurants and bars.

So I hope this fails. I ran with the bulls in Pamplona, a tradition that goes back to the 16th century that had nothing to do with commercialism. It is a religious festival with deep cultural meaning to the Basques. This parody is nonsense and offensive.

I never could see any point to running with the bulls – just seemed like i would be engaging in a activity supported by a bunch of drunk idiots, but i did ride a cow when i was 8 ( gave me quite a ride ) would that be the same thing ? : )

As long as the bulls do not get hurt I am OK with this but somehow I think this practice does not have a place any longer in our culture. Just read something very bad even though it’s about a snake:
The new fad is to have a beating snake heart. Gordon Ramsay had this on his show from Vietnam, the town is Le Mat close to Hanoi.
I am not a tree hugger, but needing to see a heart beat from an animal and then eat it while its beating, …beats me.

  Those spoiled brat Fleabaggers are making pretty good money – some are making only $300 a week while others are making as much as $1000 a week to Occupy. I feel ripped off – I did not make a penny for attending a Tea Party rally. One the other hand, I did not sell my sole to the devil ether.
