Rush & Huckabee Challenge Obama: Let the TSA Pat Down the First Family

Last weekend, President Obama responded to public criticism of the Transportation Security Administration’s (TSA) new airport screening techniques, suggesting that the process is “frustrating” for everyone, but necessary.

In response, some conservatives have stepped forward to challenge the president to experience the new procedures for himself. Fox News personality and former Republican Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee dared Obama to allow the airport’s TSA screeners to pat-down the First Family.

“If he thinks this is an appropriate way for us to deal with security as he has defended, then I’ve said, ‘OK, Mr. Obama, take your wife, your two daughters and your mother-in-law to Washington Reagan National Airport and have them publicly go through both the body scanner and the full enhanced pat-down in front of others,’” Huckabee told Fox and Friends Tuesday morning.

“‘If it’s OK for your wife, your daughters, and your mother-in-law, then maybe the rest of us won’t feel so bad when our wives, our daughters and our mothers are being put through this humiliating and degrading, totally unconstitutional, intrusion of their privacy.’”

By Tuesday afternoon, conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh also issued his own challenge for the president, suggesting the president conduct a PR move similar to his swim in the Gulf of Mexico following the BP oil spill last summer:

I pity the bastard that tries to pat down my Grandchildren. No chance of sending barry and michie through the pat down – who could they find to stomach doing it – especially michie. GOD help us all – but here we all sit and can‘t do anything about it except to watch the smirk on obamas face and listen to old janet baby remind us they ain’t changing it. Somedays just seems almost impossible to deal with any more of it.

Of course, if we had pat downs pre 9.11, GWB would be able to say that he protected us against terrorists, instead of saying he protected us after he didn’t.

      On 9/11, the hijackers passed through magnetometers and were screened with hand-held wands by security under supervision of the FAA. “At the time, the FAA allowed passengers to carry aboard knives with blades up to 4 inches. But there was confusion about utility knives, box cutters and other cutting tools.” (LA Times, 7/22/04) I am not surprised that you are unaware of those facts. The common denominator in this problem seems to be your ignorance. You should have quit after your Limbaugh comment. You are the epitome of a fool with too much rope.

      I assume since you had problems with the phones of suspected terrorists being tapped; but don’t find offense with some indigent in DC having you personal medical records available for them to browse (part of healthcare bill), and you aren’t outraged by the government having access to you bank accounts, and don’t see being molested at the airport by the regimes flying monkeys; you must be one of the regimes allies, or a funded troll.

      If you cannot find offense for any of the regimes practices, but are outraged by the Patriot Act (actually written 1995 ) then you are seriously confused or simply a troll…. which is it?

However, having read most of your comments following your Rush dig, it has become clear that you are just another liberal troll; either foreign, or using Dragon Speech. How else could you possibly explain the frequent misspellings that appear in your posts? It is apparent that someone is feeding you all the information that constructs your diatribe.     What I really want to find out is how he teaches his daughters about fisting. It was supposed to be part of the new curriculum Dept Ed was putting forth to teach about different kinds of sexuality. During one of the debates he talked about teaching 1st graders about homosexual couples advancing on thru the grade levels to homosexual sex. Does the Quaker school have this in its curriculum?

      The “dog” that Rush has “in this fight”, is you, me, or any other American whose freedoms are being abused. He has the ‘Golden Mic’ and the audience necessary to voice the often muted opinions and concerns of most Americans on issues that affect our daily lives. Rush may fly privately, but his freedom is under attack as well. Or do you feel that he traded those freedoms for money and success?

      The bottom line is that the government should have addressed the questions and fears of it’s constituents before fast-tracking these new travel-safety regulations and imposing them on the people. Then again, maybe Congress heard enough from their constituents during the Town Hall Meetings and debates on Obama Care; causing them to completely side-step the will of the people they are supposed to represent. Two years into the Obama Administration and Washington is as ugly as ever, if not worse.

    Let them pat you down just ask for a TSO of the opposite sex to do it, and DEMAND they use new pair of gloves as well! Think about it when you go to the doctor for a simple checkup, nothing invasive, does the MD use the same gloves they used on their last patient? Of course not yet TSO’s are going from one person to another wearing the same gloves passing god knows what from person to person.

      Actually, the whole explanation is a fraud. The naked scanners CANNOT detect those plastic explosives. So anyone who thinks they are secure because people are willing to go through those will definitely be surprised when the real terrorists, who are probably not even screened, carry out their plan. And people think they are safe from old people with knee and hip replacements.. who are the ones that get the enhanced pat down because of the metal in their bodies?

    the Obama daughters are as unlikely to be terrorists as my daughter…..but my teen girl won’t get a pass. She would either be subjected to naked pictures and/or the pat-down grope.

    If it were anyone else but the government, the person conducting such activities would be charged with a crime, be tried & convicted and sentenced to jail – IF her daddy, 3 older brothers and 2 grandpas didn’t their hands on them first.

    I do not care if the President thinks it’s “ok”.. I do not. Newsflash, my 16 year old daughter comes out of a pat-down crying, I’m coming across swinging. Anyone else ready to trade their boarding pass for a ‘go directly to jail, do not pass Go’ card?
    In answer to the obvious liberal response: No, I will not allow her body to be photographed by a machine that allegedly doesn’t record images. Are we still mindless sheep swallowing whatever swill the gvt feeds us? Any such image is subject to being saved or recorded, accident or not, and I have known too many hackers in my life to think that such images are safe from public scrutiny.
    It’s a matter of not setting precedents for government control.

      As for these screenings, they are likely to continue and be just as intrusive on our rights. Refuse and you’re likely to get listed and investigated. Just recall when DHS released that report about veterans, tea party members, and people concerned over the national debt…… DHS considered them to be potential ‘domestic terrorist.‘ This is relevant since a new report states that opposition to these scanners or the ’gate rape’ practices they have employed will now get you on a list and possibly investigated.

      Actually, he didn’t swim in the gulf- he swam in a river or inlet with his daughter and had a private photo taken, so we can’t even be sure he was in Louisiana!

      An Associated Press writer was one of the few to notice or care about the difference between the Gulf and the Bay:

      The president’s dip happened away from the media. The White House released an official photo, but The Associated Press does not publish such handout images. According to the White House, the Obamas swam off Alligator Point, which is in Saint Andrew Bay, not the Gulf. (Eight miles away. Yeah, he doesn’t want to swim in the Gulf or with the “unwashed masses” (quote from Katie Courie. I guess we know where we stand with her).

      Why does the press always make such a big deal out of how “beautiful” she is? Or, for that fact, how Bams is “handsome”? I mean, I don‘t think she’s particularly ugly, but I don’t get all the adulation. And Bams is downright homely and needs to put on a few pounds. Just sayin’.

      Laura Bush is a beautiful woman, but you didn’t hear any of that when Dubbya was in office, I wasn’t much of a fan. (I am now, why do you think that is????) “Do ya miss me yet?”

      Come on, John. We are born with our looks. If she were a kind-hearted woman, she wouldn’t appear so ugly in our eyes. I agree, though, that when describing the First Couple, the media has sold us “beauty” where it is scarce and “intelligence” where there is none.

    Airport security:

    The tyrant’s preponderance of propaganda is directed at airport security. What do you suppose they’re doing in the background? Could this be just another example of the “preponderance of propaganda” laying a smokescreen! Are the wannabe tyrants and their cronies publicizing lies, half-truths and the irrelevant to avoid a discussion of the real issues and advance the cause of tyranny?
    When the premise is false the only arguments that can be used are fear mongering, emotion, sarcasm, ridicule, attacking the messenger and misrepresentation of the facts (lying). Those who expect to reap huge profits from our misery caused by tyranny are experts at these tactics.

      What is the connection between TSA and the FDA? Several days ago the TSA implemented a new passage passenger screening procedure. Since that time, major news sources have been expending most of the time and effort describing and in many cases vilifying that policy. Most of the press coverage fans, emotion concerning the abuse of travelers resulting from the new policy.

      While the Major Attention of the news media is focused on the TSA policy, Congress is considering a new oppressive law, the Food Safety Modernization Act (S.510).
      This law extends unprecedented powers to the FDA to control the production of and inspection of food. It will have far-reaching effects on the economy and food prices will rise significantly. Yet the debate and impending passage of this tyrannical legislation is almost completely ignored by the news media. Long after the TSA policy inequities has been resolved. People will be going to bed hungry as a result of The Food Modernization Act (S.510). It is no accident that the media is focusing its attention on the TSA procedures instead of this oppressive new law.

      Contact your Congressman and Senators and demand that the vote on this bill the food safety modern-day modernization act (S. 510) be delayed until the new Congress is seated. This will allow public debate, and education of the public to the loss of liberty contained in this bill.

      I go to “the Hill”, about 16 times a day to check on them, the most oft used “cover” ploy used in DC is to wait for a long weekend and post the info Just before the weekend hits, and hope no one notices.
      I‘ve a sneaking feeling that I’m not the only pair of eyes watching them any more, ah, well the more the merrier I say.
      It’s imparitive to stay on top of them at all times, now more than ever.
      As for this idea , Obama letting his kids get felt up is about as likely as my allowing my kids to recieve the TSA treatment, NONE.

      Like that will ever happen! ‘We can’t have the first family in public like that the security risk is too high’ will be coming out of Robert “Baghdad Bob” Gibbs big clueless mouth. Plus we all know they would not be patted down like any of us!

      This is smoke and mirrors the more I think of it. there must be something else at play, “they” must be working on a bill or some new regs to ef us all while they run this TSA joke narrative. Remember Rhambo’s philosophy never let a good crisis go to waste!

      Thanks for the info. You are wrong, though, if you believe TSA abuses will be resolved. Obama is overwhelming us with tyrannical regulations because he knows “his time is short.” We need to resist them all.

      H.R. 3808 is known as the “Interstate Recognition of Notarizations Act.” It passed the House under a suspension of the rules in April 2010. It requires federal and state courts to recognize any notarization that is lawful in the state where the notary is licensed. Now, in one day, it passed in the Senate.

      Take notice liberals; do you think at some point that you may want to stop the insanity that this administration has leveled on our country?

      We know not all of you agree with what Obama Liberals are doing to the country; we know that. There’s a population of you out there with some sanity left; you’re intelligent and have morals and ethics to match; but you’re not speaking against the madness; you’re allowing it all to just take place.

      In your conscience, you must know that it would be in everyone’s best interests if you just backed away from this destructive phenomenon and worked with us on achieving the things that are really important to you and your causes. Just ask yourself, does Obama’s America really look like the country you want to be proud of? Do you really want to claim this president’s actions as part of your doing with your votes and your support for increased pain and misery . . . violations of dignity and disrespect for human rights? Is that what you want to say to your children and grandchildren that you did?

      You know this is a grand farce, a travesty . . . all that is Obama. But you can play a big part in stopping it all if you would just only think of what’s more to come.

      Sooner or later you’re going to have to choose . . . At this rate, it’s possible that soon there won’t be any simple way of turning it back. Are you going to choose the side with over two hundred years of progressive movement in human rights, growth and prosperity? Or are you going to keep riding this crazy train to have your finger prints all over Obama’s madness and ruin based upon promises that are mere illusions and manipulations contrived to only deceive you, your family and your friends? Make no mistake; you will suffer right along with us all . . .

      This whole deal is very strange and many talking heads are starting to notice. Someone please explain the progressive logic behind what’s going on… When Bush was the president the progressives wanted his head on a platter for allowing terrorists phone conversations to be tapped into. Here we have a violation of our privacy that is a magnitude of a cat 5 hurricane compared to what Bush did, and the libs are quiet as a mouse! WTH is going on???

      Wait a second. Everyone here is agreement that Obama is weak on terrorism. He’s not doing enough to prevent terrorists from killing us. We have that agreement and understanding. We also agree that metal detectors are okay, and have no problem putting our keys, cell phones and whatever metal objects in a tray to be separately scanned while we go through the metal detector.

      I’m sorry to be the one to tell you, but we’ve entered the 21st century. There are high tech polymers (many years old really) that can be used to make a knife as hard and sharp as a metal knife, but that won’t show up with a metal detector. And there are plastic explosives – a few grams pound of PETN for example that would blow a plane out of the sky (think underwear bomber or shoe bomber) that a metal detector wouldn’t see . Those things don’t show up in a metal detector. If there aren’t already high tech plastic guns with non-metallic propellants and bullets, they are soon to be here.

      But you don’t want these scans. You say that is invasion of privacy, and you don’t look like a terrorist, so what’s the point? The point is that “the terrorists” will recruit someone who doesn’t look like a terrorist. Maybe you think think that anyone who isn’t an Arab would blow up a plane. Think again.

      But you guys are covered because you haven‘t a clue what’s going on. You say it’s an invasions of privacy now, but the minute a plane is put down you‘ll say it’s because of Obama.
