Rush Laments the ‘Return of Clintonistas’ in Obama Administration

As the Obama administration welcomes a number of former Clinton administration officials — including new White House chief of staff William Daley and National Economic Council director Gene Sperling — conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh warned listeners Friday of the return of Clinton-era “crony capitalists.”

“Everybody wants this,” Rush noted, referring to the mainstream media. “The purpose of this is to create for everybody else a public impression of moderation. The Socialist-Marxist Obama finally realizing that he can’t get where he wants to go that way. He has to triangulate; he has to go to the center.”

Rest easy, Rush. Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley swore Thursday that his brother‘s appointment to be President Obama’s new chief of staff did not represent a “Chicago mafia” in the White House.

“(President George W. Bush) brought people from Texas. John F. Kennedy brought people from Massachusetts. Richard Nixon brought people from California,” Daley said. “Ronald Reagan brought people from California. Jimmy Carter brought people from Georgia. Bush brought people from Texas. Clinton brought people from Arkansas.”

“There’s nothing wrong with that,” Daley said.

    Rush is right — as usual.
    And I say: It’s not the Chicago connections so much as the Clinton connections; the “media” pack mentality will just love it! Any resurgence in economic activity will be ‘spun’ that Obama ‘moderated’ and the crazy Federal spending worked.
    If the economy does show improvement, which would be due to the natural cycle of economic activity more than anything else, just enough of the Dem’s people (leftists, liberal capitalists, union bosses) will see their bank accounts grow slightly then work to get Obama re-elected, same way they all bought into Clinton being responsible for any prosperity in the 90′s.
    I truly hope that this does not happen, because folks tend to overlook the restrictions of their liberty if their economic situation improves- even if only very slightly.
    If things do get better, which I do want to happen, it will be due to the amazing resilience of the American Economic Leviathan, and the entrepeneurs who make it work. Even with crushing socialism breathing down their necks, Americans will still make the economy go. Obama needs to go, too, and we need a little “Reagan 2.0″ from these newfound conservatives roaming Congress and, increasingly, the pancake houses of Iowa. Reaganism 2012.

    It is called putting lipstick on the pig…Obama and his Marxist radical revolutionaries will still be poisoning your American system, like busy little munchkins, but this time it will be hidden in regulations. The three evils of the Federal Government e.g. Education, Energy, the ever popular EPA will be shooting out regulations to strangle private industry like a wood chipper shoots out chips.     Comparing one cheating socialist to a experimental cultural black liberation communist president who has destroyed the constitution is unfair. You can only advise a corrupt person if you’re also corrupt in thoughts and deeds. A good man will not work for a bad man. An honest man will not work for a cheater. These people are not to be trusted because they have agreed to work for a corrupt, communist leaning, black liberation, now newly born again Christian, that hates America and is being supported by the most corrupt people and money in the world.

    What’s next Monica Lewenski? Hey it didn’t seem to really hurt Clinton all that much. And Hilary was adored for standing by her man. Maybe michele has got her eye on a political career just like Hilary did. obama will have to be retrained and groomed to be a convincing moderate. He has a huge ego that might make it epecially difficult to pull it off. He will probably master it, he got elected to president idn’t he? They know that the next two years are critical. As Glenn and some of our blazers say, watch the other hand.

    This administration is, by far, the absolutely worst Americans have had to deal with . No wonder We The People are up in arms. However, we will not riot in the streets, as you, prez and buds, try to continually encourage us to do.     Mr. prez: We The People are trying to rid our govt of the current and old cronies, so give it up. If you can’t do the job on your own, get out. Drop out today. Any reason you can’t make this happen? You’d be set for life, and wouldn’t have to have the crappy Obamacare you shoved down our throats. (If is was so great, why weren’t all polititians, staff and UNIONS included?)

    All these Clintonistas should make Hillary feel right at home when she runs for president against Obama in 2012. I fall back on my previous rule that you never turn your back on a Clinton, and especially Bill if you are a loose, large breasted, and sexually willing intern. But I digress,….My second rule about the Clintons is that Hillary wears the pants! Beware Barry,….. Bill did look really comfortable pushing you off the podium and Hillary is his ticket to rejuvination of fame. He still has his heart set on that missing legacy he squandered.

      I live in Chicago, and there is NOTHING good about Chicago politicians. Daley runs the city like a king. Property taxes are set to rise 60% in the next two years. Will the last person left, please turn out the lights.

      CATB I’m VERY afraid actually that the media is gonna spin his new “moderation”, the unemployment numbers are gonna go down, and the people will be fooled in 2012 that obama “ain‘t such a bad guy’….if this new House doesn’t get the job done in the next year and a half, despite ridicule from ALL the left that we have seen the last 2 days, and which will continue, then we are done. We also have to look foreward to unemployment FINALLY running out, and all these lazy tards ‘rising up’ against what has been ‘done to them”. Obama is trying to sway center, and the MSM is definately trying to convince us all that he is doing just that. But, when it is all said and done, will we listen? I don’t think we here on the blaze will, but will those who “don’t know” vote thinking all is well? Only time will tell, and time is moving so fast now (don’t we all fell it) that in two years, who KNOWS where this country, and indeed all of us be?
      Who knows? Stay vigilant and keep your nose to the news people.

      Sperling is currently a counselor to Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, and is now being appointed as Obama’s chief economic adviser. He’s been there before: Sperling will hold the exact same post he held under Bill Clinton – National Economic Adviser to Clinton and director of the National Economic Council.

      In that post, Sperling was principal negotiator with Treasury Secretary Lawrence Summers in finalizing the Gramm–Leach–Bliley Act Financial Modernization Bill which repealed Glass-Steagal.

      And Shahien Nasiripour notes:

      Sperling … served as a consultant to Goldman Sachs, and in 2008 harvested sums reaching seven-figures for his work there and in delivering speeches to the highest ranks of the financial services realm.
