Rush Limbaugh Defends NASCAR Fans Booing First Lady

While some in the media appeared shocked when Michelle Obama was booed at a NASCAR race over the weekend in Florida, Rush Limbaugh wasn’t surprised in the least.

Limbaugh has also stated his belief that booing the First Lady makes perfect sense for the crowd at the Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Since the incident, ABC News has run its own coverage calling Limbaugh’s comments “racially insensitive.” ABC cut a a 10 minute radio segment down to a few sentences to focus on Limbaugh’s usage of the word “uppity” regarding the First Lady to infer racial undertones to his speech.

ABC’s Jake Tapper leaves no question about his feelings, referring to Limbaugh’s comments as “making things worse.”

In short, Limbaugh believes NASCAR fans “…know in their hearts the Obamas don’t like them,” and he gave a number of other reasons that Mrs. Obama might not be welcome by the race track crowd as well.

      I DVR-ed the race and fast forward through commercials and stupid stuff. Needless to say, I chose to zip through the clearly transparent effort of First Ladies to appear to be on the same plain as the NASCAR fans. I saw it as a distasteful attempt to patronize the unwashed masses this administration clearly detests.

      Maybe 999 to one… the stands can fit up to 40,000 at some tracks, not to mention the couple hundred to a thousand in the inner field…

      Nascar is probably the most conservative sport around…
      A bunch of loud, gas guzzling, high power, and precise machines running for extended periods of time at speeds ranging from 150 to 200 miles an hour (depending on the track)… it’s simple, crude, and disgusting how much money nascar drivers make… and while they’re praised for not crashing their cars, they don’t puss out because of the thought of crashing… Yeah, it takes a spine of steel to be a nascar driver, and that‘s something most liberals don’t have.

    I just listened to the long version. Rush was great…hit every point. This was political stagecraft and people are sick of campaigning and were there to get away from it. Obama’s whole presidency has been political stagecraft and we are sick of him, his speeches, his lies ans spin, his way of the dividing the country and lack of price in this country. The Obamas are not true Americans and have no pride in their country or patriotism and people know it. They knew this was a phony photo op and they are sick of it! If I were there I would be booing because I feel like that every time I turn on the tv and see them.

    As a redneck raised on a farm in Arkansas I love me some NASCAR. I also have been known to laugh at a racial joke or two. There ain’t no way in hell I would boooo this woman or any another women in her position. I don’t care what color they are or what party they represent or what job satisfaction her husband has.       Perhaps they don‘t teach one of life’s best lessons in Arkansas – respect is earned, not demanded. Of course, in retrospect, given the fact that Arkansas is the home of Slick Willie Clinton and Hitlery-The-Alinskyite I can see where the issue of respect might be a difficult concept to grasp.

    He said it exactly how I feel about it.
    How moochelle took a plane to Spain loaded with 35 people, for an all expense paid luxury vacation at our expense, and how she took the presidential jet to vacation 4 hours befor BHO, then took another jet to the same place.

    Boo’s are an absolutely proper response to either of the obamanations and each and every czar, cabinet member (do they exist?) and Congress person (with Tea Partiers excepted). We can boo louder and longer than the occupy idjits can sit through a very cold, disease-ridden winter.

    I especially appreciate the “Russian Salute” to the actor pretending to be president by the Russian anchor. I think we all should use it every time someone mentions his name. We can always say, “Hey! I’m just giving him the `Russian Salute’!”

      Hey GONZO, I heard Rush’s show yesterday and shortly after this he had a caller who made a suggestion that really made good sense. And, Rush agreed that it could be a set up, and that the administration knew that this would likely happen.
