Posted on October 5, 2010 at 11:58amHaving seen the reports, I never watch this show on principle…. And Rush appearing on it… Made me groan and hold my head in my hands shaking and saying “Jesus… Why did you do that Rush?” I can’t believe he would give the same show that mocked Sarah Palin and her child Trig and Jesus… To me, it does not work… It does not work… Disappointed…

Oh yea! That was priceless

Posted on October 4, 2010 at 10:45pmIt is easy to find flaw in a man who opens his hand to his adversary but a clenched fist will ever be alone. By crossing over into the Star Wars bar scene of liberals (as Rush likes to refer to it) he shown in his actions that our side can have humility, friendliness, humor and laugh at one’s self. In allowing comedic mockery he still was able to deliver some of our core beliefs as conservatives.
Alone the lines about “reading the book first, then make a judgement“ were worth the jabs as they were so truthful that even the dullest of liberals would have to admit that judging something without knowing any real thing about it is idiotic and hardly worthy of their ”brainy” self-stereotype.

Posted on October 4, 2010 at 10:31pmRush said on his show today that Family Guy creator Seth McFarlane told him that he got a lot of heat for bringing him on. ******** can’t laugh at anything. Dour sick constipated losers. Rush had a lot of bad lines taken out he said. Too many were left in I felt. One nonsense was the global warming argument where they said they had scientific proof of it, nothing about the lies of their so called proof- East Anglia emails and all. Ripping on Bush with the lollipop was not good either. But overall we gave them a good b-slapping and got Rush and the Conservative view shown.

Posted on October 4, 2010 at 9:25pmRelax, if the right can’t laugh at itself once in a while, we’ll become as self important, self absorbed, self righteous and sanctimonious as all the those pinheads on the left. I thought it was great that the uber liberal character, Brian the dog, was getting attacked by a gang of thugs and the right (Rush) saves his bacon.

Posted on October 4, 2010 at 8:19pmC’mon…
It’s Equal Opportunity Offense on a show that usually skewers everybody – just not equally.
And this baloney about giving the Left ammo – since WHEN did they ever need ammo?
They don’t need facts, they don’t use logic – they have no reason to.
I think the greater exposure Rush gets, the better.
Polls show a substantial number of Americans believe he misleads the country – how many of them have ever actually listened to more than ten minutes of his show?
Rush is a VERY funny man if you listen long enough, probably on par with Letterman for making people squirm.

Posted on October 4, 2010 at 9:38pmThe reasons are the following…
1) A chance to reach a new potential Audience that has never heard of him, thus increase interest in checking out his Radio Show.
2) Show a sense of Humor and that Conservatives are not stuffy and can actually laugh at themselves.
3) Use laughter to Reach the mostly liberal Audience of ‘Family Guy’ and maybe have a few more liberals hate Rush a little less through laughter in a show that they love.
4) The only chance you have to change Liberals minds is to go where they hang out right? And thats what he did.
5) Just because you and I have heard of Rush, doesnt mean that everyone else has, there are still many people who dont know his name or heard of him but disregarded..Now more people have a reason to find out more about Rush Limbaugh because he did what he did. Dumb you say? This was a very smart move if you really think about it.

Posted on October 4, 2010 at 5:18pmI dislike how they portray conservatives as extremists. Some are, but probably not most. The same with the left. It’s hard being a centrist that relates to both sides of the spectrum. I agree, the RepublicanTown skit was giving ammo to the left; a laugh at the expense of conservatives. Mocking the extremes of either side only further promotes the notion of a divided people.

Report Post »Prospero
Posted on October 4, 2010 at 1:25pmHeh heh heh, it’s not possible for Conservatives to look foolish, for the truth is…well…true.
I think it‘s great when people don’t take themselves too seriously, and are confident enough to be parodied…or even to get paid to parody one’s self.
When you arrive at that place, emotionally, you will be a centered and healthy human being of maturity, class, and grace.
Report Post »El Paco
Posted on October 4, 2010 at 1:48pmI wouldn‘t say it’s giving them “ammo”… but showing people that even “hard nosed Rush” can even laugh at himself. This was shown to most of the people who would rather stick pencils in their ears than listen to his radio show… so I guess this was a good thing.
Report Post »Dustyluv
Posted on October 4, 2010 at 2:46pmI am centered and emotionally healthy. Its the idiots that watch it that are not…and they take this stuff to heart. They think Rush is really a bigot and a homophobe because he does something like this. They believe all Conservatives want is to throw grandma on the streets and kill abortion doctors. It’s those people who get fuel from this fire and become less stable and will not listen to the conservative message because they think they know it because Rush said it on Family Guy…
Just stupid to add to the fodder. Rush should know better!
