Rush Limbaugh: Obama’s Actions Are a ‘Dictator‘s Wet Dream’

Rush Limbaugh is no stranger to controversy, but his Monday statements have sent Media Matters readers into a predictable fit.
“So once again we see which side Obama comes down on, in the question of whether [we are] a country with the rule of law, or the rule of man. With Obama, it’s not the rule of law. He is implementing law that the Congress defeated, as in the legalization of the amnesty for 800,000 young illegals– Congress defeated that, the Dream Act,” Limbaugh began.
Soon after, he said the phrase that really freaked out the leftist bloggers: “It‘s a dictator’s wet dream to do what Obama is doing. If he doesn’t agree with the law, voila, it’s no longer enforced. It may as well not even exist. That’s who he is, folks!”
“If he’s such a dictator, why is he letting a d*ck like you stay on the radio, Rush?” one Media Matters commenter asked. Another wrote: “See, here’s a subject Fats is an expert on. He often has wet dreams about being a dictator. A dictator on an island filled with nothing but teenaged Dominican boys…” while someone who likely did not listen to Limbaugh’s explanation commented: “So, the Constitution of the United States is a ‘dictator’s wet dream’?”

Limbaugh clarified that he doesn’t say this “jocularly,” before asking what prevents Obama from deciding that the 22nd amendment (which limits presidents to only two terms) is no longer relevant?
“Well?” he asked. “I think it’s worth throwing out,” before launching into presumed counter-arguments: “Come on Rush, there’s no way Obama would ever dispense with elections…There’s no way Obama would ever not enforce immigration law…No way Obama would ignore the Constitution and just write a health care law that basically pees all over it…Of course they wouldn’t.”
He continued: “What if we started obeying laws on that [basis]? If the president of the United States can choose to enforce or not enforce law because he likes them or doesn’t like them, what about us? What if we disagree with the speeding law?…What if we don’t like paying income tax, because frankly, I hate it. What if I just decide, screw it!”
“But of course, we don’t have that ability,” Limbaugh concluded.

I think your premise is incorrect. The SCOTUS doesn’t make the laws. The SCOTUS rules on laws brought to them for clarification on Constitutionality.
If Rand Paul introduces a bill that becomes a law regarding “personhood” and it passes….then the law has changed regarding abortion based on that new law. It has nothing to do with the usurpation of the SCOTUS at that point until someone contests it and brings it to the SCOTUS for a ruling.
Someone verify my thinking on this. Am I right?

You are correct. MISTER Obama messed up the oath of office during the swearing in and allegedly re-took it in private later ON A KORAN if I recall correctly. So, while swearing on the Bible is not mandatory, swearing on the Koran would in his mind be not binding as the Koran allows taqqiah (sp) aka lying to infidels in order to defeat them in the cause of Islam.

Report Post »Re Chief Justice Roberts making the mistake – I took the same oath 6 times during my Naval career so am familiar with it. Chief Justice Roberts read it correctly, pausing after each phrase to allow Mr. Obama to repeat it. I forget which part Mr. Obama stumbled over (knowing he was about to lie?) but it immediately gave me a mental shock as I thought “how could he possibly have done that? Even a dumb squid (sailor) like me could repeat back short phrases.”
