‘Rush Limbaugh Show’ Fires Back at Media Matters & ‘Brand Brock’

The “Rush Limbaugh Show” has fired back at liberal organization Media Matters and its campaign to get advertisers to bail on the top-rated radio program.
In a scathing op-ed on Politico, show spokesman Brian Glicklich fired back.
“David Brock is so outraged at Rush Limbaugh’s words of three weeks ago that he started organizing a protest — almost 3 years ago,” Glicklich writes.
“It was planned ahead and activated at the first moment Brock could manipulate a media frenzy. Make no mistake, Brock’s ‘marketplace of ideas’ offers only one brand: Brand Brock. All others will be forced off the shelves with intimidation and lies.”
He continues:
Media Matters for America stands for censorship, and nothing more than that. Their ginned-up election year anger is directed at the words of their media political opposition — similar expressions are ignored when used by their allies.
It’s different, they claim. It’s always different when they say it is, for an array of implausible reasons. The truth is that they are hypocrites. But that’s the least of their offenses.
By putting small business in the crosshairs of their war on expression, Media Matters is causing real harm. They are hurting these businesses, their employees and their families. As a business owner, imagine waking up one morning and being assaulted by hundreds of coordinated attacks from operatives who never were or will be your customers.
These Media Matters mobs bear a simple message: Renounce our enemies or become one of them. They distribute target lists of advertiser phone numbers, email addresses, Facebook links and Twitter handles, and then they come out of nowhere, en masse, against selected advertisers in rotation. They barrage small business with threats until they cancel their advertising.
“This is Brock’s cynical marketplace of ideas,” Glicklich concludes. “He will fail, as every censoring thug has in this country.”

The Blaze will continue to embolden Brock and give him space because it provides millions of dollars in advertising appeal to hard working comedians like Rush.
This is kind of like Newt running for President to increase his speaking fees and book sales. He gets higher sales whenever Mitt and Rick slam him!

Civil war is becoming more of a reality every month, and its possibility has accelerated since this black racist has been in office, supported by his racist attory general and other haters and mal-contents in his administration.
They have encouraged the rabid leftist kooks to come out of the woodwork to try their brand of totalitarianism on the general public.
With Brook it is a chance to try to promote acceptance of homosexuality and the evil of man/boy relationships.
If I were religious, I would say all these radical demons came straight from hell and must be stopped by any means necessary.
Economic collapse and the ensuing civil war could well be a godsend to this republic and could weel be the means by which the stanists can be purged from our ranks.

Posted on March 21, 2012 at 10:20pmI salute Brian Glicklich for taking a stand. I don‘t condone Rush’s comments, but we live in a free speech society. If you don’t like it, change the channel. I can’t stand most of the people on MSNBC, but I don’t support “silencing” them either. They have a right to say what they want, and we have a right not to listen. This video summed the whole Rush/Maher situation perfectly.

Posted on March 21, 2012 at 11:29pmIt’s frightening when a single guy, like this David Brock, using only a phone, can bring international corporations like AOL, IBM and Walmart to their knees and force them to withdraw their advertisements from Limbaugh. Not to mention the US Army and the American Heart Association. Brock has singlehandedly, using only a telephone, hijacked the entire free market system that we Americans once had, and killed the First Amendment. This guy makes Soros look like a wimp.
To see the extent of the outrage and control of our society and the world that David Brock holds, look here to see the businesses who have dropped Rush rather than being crushed in his iron fist:

Hahahahaha! What a maroon.
Do you really think you fool anybody with your attempt at pretending the twinkie Brock has power to topple Limbaugh? With 22 million listeners what sponser in his right mind would quit advertising on his show?
You support Brock because he’s a fellow like you. And you support all leftist causes thinking you’re going to mainstream your lifestyle if you can change society.
You’re delusional.
You’re going to be sorely disappointed and the object of much contempt when civil war erupts and make no mistake it is getting very close.
Your liberal utopia of mainline twinkies will be no more, and you’ll wind up hiding in the woods to keep the hounds from tracking you down.

It’s one thing for me to hope and pray JZS eventually SsTFU. It’s something entirely different to actively campaign to silence him. If Brock went after JZS to shut him up, I’d be standing with JZS against Brock. Everyone has a right to speak, even if you don’t like what they say.

Stress aggravates it and I admire the inner stength of anyone who has it. It takes courage because it takes so much from one afflicted by it. So for that slime bag to say what he said I say there is nothing great and everything disgusting about him. He goes for shock value and he has no scruples. Anyone who will attack a person with a disability is lower than low.

Posted on March 21, 2012 at 5:10pmMr. Fox later admitted that what Rush said was TRUE, I guess you missed that part of the story. But, that’s right, you liberals never let the truth stand in the way of a good lie.

So you feel the same way about every liberal that made fun of Palin’s son with Downs syndrome then?
Report Post »krenshau
Posted on March 21, 2012 at 5:23pm@walkandtalk, then people with disabilities should never talk. Anyone that puts themselves out there opens themselves up to rebuttal. They can’t hide behind a disability. Besides, you just said that anyone that attacks a person with a disability is lower than low, or something to that affect. How do you know a disabled person didn’t attack another disabled person. Does that make the disabled person lower than low? If so, did you just call a disabled person lower than low? In which case you just attacked a disabled person, and that makes you lower than low. See how stupid your argument is? Sticks and stones, remember? Stop being a baby.

Posted on March 22, 2012 at 1:18amI agree with walkandtalk. Limbaugh is not a very good person and certainly has no regard for anyone who is not of his “stature in society.” I’ve always found it interesting that he would be so quick to insult those with drug problems (case in point Jerry Garcia) while at the same time he was struggling with his own drug demons. Anyone who could go through that themselves and not have compassion for someone in the same boat, to me is a sociopath and beneath contempt.

Posted on March 22, 2012 at 2:21ammoonbat666 thankyou there is still hope for this country since there are some people like yourself with compassion for their fellowman. It is so clear how many bullies post on this site and feel nothing but contempt for others who have illnesses and disabilities for which there is no cure. They are the cowards who praise Rush Limbaugh. Karma has a way of taking care of things and one day you jerks will get your reward. You are not conservatives you don’t know what the word even means.

Posted on March 22, 2012 at 2:38amblackhawk1 I don’t care where one stands in the standard deviation of liberal to conservative when it comes to belittling another person who is less fortunate, has a disability, or an incurable debilitating disease. Anyone right or left who attacks them is an A$$. It can be the right or left but it is still attached to the donkey’s rear end.

Posted on March 22, 2012 at 3:25amcatb you should understand better than others on this site how Parkinson‘s affects patient’s differently. Michael J Fox has early onset Parkinson’s. It does not usually attack people as young as he was when he first discoverd he had it. As you are probably aware over 90% of dopamine cells in the brain are impacted when the symptoms become visible. It does not always attack both sides of the body. It can start with an involuntary movement in the hand or leg. It progresses. It can be worse or seem better during a 24 period. It weakens the body. It can impact speech and the ability to walk. Falls are common for people as the disease advances. It can cause depression and anxiety. Michael J Fox has done more than any celebrity to bring attention to this disease. He lives with it every day, as does your father. I hope your Dad is receiving the best medical care. Neurologists with specialties in motion disorders come with knowledge in the needs of Parkinson’s patients. Patients with this disease usually try to hide it in it’s beginning stages because they are afraid people will treat them differently and look down on them or ridicule them. Rush Limbaugh did that when he should have made people aware of the needs of the disabled. That was cruel no matter what anyone says. People are suffering with this disease and we need to find a cure. I wish you the best since it impacts the whole family.
