Rush on AZ Shooting: Left Will Use it to Institute a ‘Clampdown’

In his first day on the radio since the tragic shooting in Arizona, Rush Limbaugh chastised the media and the left for trying to blame the events on conservative rhetoric. He also conveyed his own theory about what the left will try and do with the tragedy: use it as an excuse to strip Americans of more freedoms.

Limbaugh explained that he wouldn’t be surprised if Democrats had already written up legislation for a “clampdown”:

“You know that they were rubbing hands together. You know that they were emailing and calling each other on the phone saying, ‘Ah ha, this might be the one. This might be the one where we can officially tie it to these guys and shut them up and shut ‘em down.’ They want you to believe that sadness was on the order of the day and I’m sure it was, but the opportunity and they couldn’t help themselves. They just couldn’t help themselves. Their first objective and their first priority was to try to make an association between this nut and Sarah Palin.”

Limbaugh made sure to call out the media for its role in blaming conservatives, too. In a longer version of the clip from Mediaite, Limbaugh points out the folly of the media’s weekend coverage.

“What an embarrassing weekend it has been for the media,” he said:

“I find it fascinating that the media and many in the Democrat Party want to blame people that don’t know this kid, that the kid never knew, the kid never heard of, the kid was never exposed to. They want to try to blame people genuinely who are ancillary, who are irrelevant to this for what the kid did, for pure, political reasons. And there are political reasons for this. And let me do this here at the outset, folks, because this is what all of this is really all about. It is all political. I was blamed for the Oklahoma City bombing in 1995 … it’s the template, it’s the narrative.”

Howard Fineman gives a rundown of Limbaugh‘s major points about the shooting from today’s radio show:

  • LOUGHNER IS A LONE NUT. Even “the Obama government” — the FBI — calls Loughner a “deranged, insular irrational kid” who acted alone, Limbaugh said. “The kid was evil. He was into the occult. He had an altar with a skull in his yard. Was God in his life? He was stalking the congresswoman.”
  • HEAVY METAL. “The guy listened to heavy metal, and some of that anarchist stuff. We’re dealing with an insane individual.”
  • DIDN’T WATCH FOX. “There is no evidence that he listened to talk radio. There is no evidence he listened to Fox News. There is no evidence that he saw Sarah Palin’s Facebook page. No evidence he saw her lame website with the crosshairs.”
  • BLAME THE PARENTS. “Where are the parents? Are they derelicts? He was so devoted to marijuana he wanted to make it the new U.S. currency. Did anyone try to institutionalize him?”
  • SHERIFF COVERING HIS OWN BUTT. “This kid sounds like he was very well known as a dangerous element around town. If there is a file somewhere about this kid in the sheriff’s office,” said Rush, and the sheriff had failed to act, then he would be partly responsible for the tragedy in Arizona on Saturday. “If he was so concerned about the Tea Party, where was security for this congresswoman’s event on Saturday?”
  • DUPNIK IS A DEMOCRAT. “This Sheriff, Clarence Dupnik, is an anti-conservative.”
  • WHERE’S THE SAFETY NET? “Loughner is obviously deranged, so where‘s the left’s safety net? Haven’t we spent trillions of dollars to build a system to catch these disturbed people? Where is the evidence that their compassion works?”
  • THE OKLAHOMA CITY TEMPLATE. “Sad tragedies, where people die, are seen first as political opportunities by these people,” Rush said. “The Republicans had nothing to do with the bombing at Oklahoma City, but it was seen as a political opportunity for Bill Clinton. This is now the same template.”
  • CRIMINALIZING SPEECH. “They’re shutting down any opposition and criminalizing it. They’ve had a plan filed away in a drawer to take away as many of our political freedoms as they can. The Democrats just lost an election, and now the only other thing they can try to do is silence the opposition.”
  • HYPOCRITES ON VIOLENCE. It’s not the right, Limbaugh said, but the left that glorifies criminal behavior and violent imagery. “‘No, no,’ they say, ‘that’s art!’ Rap music? ‘That’s art!’”
  • DEMOCRATS ARE GHOULS. They privately are thankful for Tucson because “they think it advances their sick and perverted purposes.” Mark Penn, who was Bill Clinton’s polltaker, said — before Tucson — that “Obama needs his own Oklahoma City.”
  • DEMOCRATS v. THE MAJORITY. By linking Loughner to the right, Limbaugh warned, Democrats are “taking aim at a majority of the people in the country. This is not 1988, or 1993, when the drive-by media had total control. I am not going to be silenced,” he said, but now he has too many allies. “They’re accusing a majority of Americans of being accomplices to murder.”
  • A DIRECT DENIAL. “At no time has anybody ever called for violence,” Limbaugh said. “We’ve never subtly promoted it.” And, by the way, the Democrats’ language is and was worse.

Any media worth their weight would never have prematurely defined this guy. They were conjecturing on News and trying trying to pass it off as fact. Serious investigative journalism is not a priority for these people. At least when Glenn reports on his opinion he makes sure to include that disclaimer; and when he reports on fact he backs it up with evidence and the waring to “do your own homework, look it up for yourself”
The whole lot of them are a group of Joy Behars! But in Joy’s defense- she’s not disguising herself as someone who is reporting on facts- these “reporters” are.

Rush’s assertion that liberals were “rubbing hands together” and celebrating this tragedy, is sickening. This is beyond political rhetoric — it’s hateful, and it’s exactly why his name is the first to come up in any discussion of the toxicity of our political culture.

Nobody is talking about outlawing talk radio. Rush has every right to say what he wants. His listeners, though, have a right to turn it off. This guy is no patriot. He’s doing whatever he can to divide his own country.

Wait a second, perhaps you should take a look at the weekend news and listen to some of the mainstream and left leaning pundits. Several hae acused Rush, Glenn, and Sarah of being instigators in the matter. I do agree to the point that using this for any political gain is truly tasteless. That being said in defense of Rush, I have not once heard him claim to be a newsman. He is simply an entertainer and doesn’t use the front of a primary network like some to give them cred.

Our failed “president” and his democrats are always on the lookout for opportunities to attack Sarah Palin and conservatives. Sadly, by attempting to fabricate a link between the person responsible for this horrific crime and Governor Palin, the Tea Party, Glenn, Rush, etc., they diminish the lives of the victims and insult all Americans. At this time, when we should be fully focused on the memories of the dead and the lives of those who are struggling to live and recover, as well as insuring that the perpetrator is brought to justice, those on the left are focused like a laser-beam on political gain and using this horrific crime to push their anti-America, anti-Freedom agenda.

However, that doesn’t excuse Van Jones, Piven and others from going onto the News, doing College Speaking events and outwarding calling for violence and “taking the whip from the massir…” and such, this is all going back to the Progressives, the SDS and the Weather Underground in the 1960′s and them demonizing Police as “Pigs” and causing violent riots and racial uprising…

When Shultz, Olbermann, Maddow and the true purveyors of hate come out and directly attack and denounce the Van Jones‘ and Piven’s and outwardly call to stand shoulder to shoulder with Beck and others to stand against these people and their violent agenda’s things will right themselves very well…

The fundamental differce between the progressive mind and the conservative mind that progressives will never get is that a conservatives mind operates on a individual basis, not a “GROUP THINK” basis. That is why they engage in this finger pointing, blame letting and victimizing behavior. To them they are “ONE”, and think as one, so automatically a group is responsible for the Arizona tragedy and not a lone singular derranged person. All the evidence that I have seen so far seems to point to that this boy was more leftist in his thinking than not, interestingly.

Yes, free speech is ever under the attack these days and no good tragedy will they waste. Free speech is a giant deterent to their agenda, they want us all to be in group think, with no dissenting voice or debate, no freedom.

The largest indication of the looney left media‘s intellectual bankruptcy is that they actually think the conservatives need Limbaugh’s input to know and understand this.

The looney left media doesn’t understand that the primary reason people listen to Limbaugh is that he is saying what they would say if they had the microphone. Conservatives do not listen to Limbaugh to get “ideas” or “marching orders”.

Beck is popular for the same reason as Limbaugh with the added bonus that Beck brings out ground floor information that no one else has ever bothered to look at, and what Beck presents has the ring of truth to it, especially the challenge for everyone to go look at the data for themselves and then make up their mind.

The looney left pokes and prods the balloon until it bursts, and then they scream that the bursting was the fault of the one who made the balloon. Everything about the looney left is a living lie.

Why is it so hard for people to see that the threat of our country being destabilized and our rights stolen from us by radicals from within the highest levels of Government is very real? Americans understood it fifty, sixty and seventy years ago. Socialism/Marxism and Communism are the antithesis of freedom, liberty and (excuse the cliche) the American way and have no place within the American political system or government! It’s not that hard to figure out folks!
      Example:
Communist Control Act, A.K.A. The 1940 Smith Act. Made it a crime to “teach, advocate, or encourage the overthrow or destruction of … government by force or violence.” Nazis and leaders of the Socialist Workers (American Trotskyist) Party and the Communist Party were convicted of violating the Smith Act and subjected to fines and imprisonment.

The Voorhis Act of 1940 required subversive organizations to register with the attorney general. In 1947 President Harry Truman issued an executive order establishing a program to rid the federal government of employees found to be disloyal or security risks.

The Subversive Activities Control Act of 1950 (SACA), a part of ISA, required Communist-action and Communist-front organizations and members of Communist-action organizations to register with the attorney general. Members of Communist-action organizations were barred from employment by the federal government, working in a private defense facility, getting passports, or receiving classified information. People who had been members of a Communist Party at any time were prohibited from entering the United States. The other part of ISA authorized the detention of spies and saboteurs during any national emergency declared by the president.

The Supreme Court of the United States upheld the constitutionality of the Smith and ISA Acts in 1950, in Dennis v. United States, and in 1961, in Communist Party of the United States v. Subversive Activities Control Board.

These two pieces of Legislation are still part of U.S Code and are still legally enforcable but are not ever used by EITHER party.

It is time for the new Congress to dust off the Smith and ISA acts and start investigations into anyone in federal positions who still hold fast to the failed, murderous, tryrannical, evil of socialism, progressivism, or communism and force them to support their beliefs in the light of day (and Cspan)so the American people can call for their immediate removal from office or at the very least will know not to vote for them or their cohorts in 2012.

Granted doing this will likely strip the current executive branch bare as well as decimate Congress but it is time to clean out those who do not believe in the Constitution and its limit on their powers.

When Shepard Smith interviewed the shooter’s algebra instructor one comment stood out; “He was angry because he thought he deserved a better grade.“ That begged the question ”What level of Algebra was he having trouble with?”
      IT WAS BASIC ALGEBRA!?!
He didn’t deserve a better grade. He thought that just because he sat in the class, as he had done for the first twelve years of his education, he should pass just because he was there. That means he was set up for failure. If this is your standard education system he was taught what to think. He had no knowledge to base his opinions on and no ability to analyze the opinions he was force fed.

Since 2003, Mountain View has been part of what is known as the Smaller Learning Community, a network of schools that have been restructured to create a more personalized learning environment where students often have the same teachers and fellow students from grade to grade.

Almost before the bullets had stopped flying in the assassination attempt of Congresswoman Giffords, the mainstream media invoked the preponderance of propaganda proclaiming that this was just another violence incident caused by “inflammatory right-wing rhetoric.” An investigation of the perpetrator soon proved that he was just another proponent of tyranny with little or no connection to true patriots.

“Inflammatory right-wing” rhetoric, of course, is any disagreement with President Obama’s actions or proposals. The purpose of this propaganda is to discredit and silence the opposition to tyranny (Obama’s programs). Even though the thug has been proven to be just another disciple of tyranny, the attacks on patriots continues.

One would expect that after so many failed attempts to tie the rhetoric of freedom to the cause of violence, the mainstream media’s credibility would be severely damaged. Sadly, this is not the case. The lies just continue with the expectation that the quantity of lies will trump the truth. So don’t expect the mainstream media to apologize or even admit that they were wrong.

The tyrants, with virtual control of the mainstream media, are following Joseph Goebbels’ instructions for the dissemination of propaganda. The volume and quantity of lies will be used to bury the truth with the expectation of discrediting and silencing those who advocate freedom.

The tyrant’s premises are false. So the only arguments that the tyrant can use are fear mongering, emotion, sarcasm, ridicule, attacking the messenger and misrepresentation of the facts (lying). Those who expect to reach huge profits from the misery caused by tyranny are experts at these tactics. These tactics are very effective when the tyrant controls most of the media. Do not be duped by repetition. The 10,000th repetition of the lie is no more valid than the initial statement.

The only relevant issue is freedom or tyranny! http://commonsense21c.com/

      [edit] In Washington State

Several schools “Small Schools Project” include: Cleveland High School, Clover Park High School, Evergreen High School, Foster High School, Henry Foss High School, Lincoln High School, Mariner High School and Tyee High School[1]. One of the things all of these high schools have in common is that they all are among the lowest scoring schools in Washington State when it comes to standardized test scores[2]. While proponents of small schools don’t see this as a problem, many others in the Mt. Rainier community wonder why they are modeling themselves after the worst performing schools in Washington state.

They’ve really got to learn to have a little more patience…their hurry is because of what we showed them on 11/02…they know their window of opportunity is CLOSING and they are freaking out! It will be THEIR DOWNFALL! We will prevail…be patient, be steadfast and PRAY!

Yes, the top is coming down the line, and they intend to use this again with the smashing weight they can generate from it; it will be milked for all it is worth to spread their agenda of hate and more pressure til something will blow.

One more log added to the fire by the left and the Progressives.

Like I said every time theres a tragic event rest assure they (gov-officials) run to the microphone and demand new legislation for this and that. Heres another example of that. This info was on The Hill . com and linked off the drudge report.

House Dem calls for ‘beefed up’ security, special treatment for members by TSA
      By Sean J. Miller – 01/09/11 10:27 AM ET

A top House Democrat said the attack on Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.) should change how members of Congress are screened at airports.

“I really believe that that is the place where we feel the most ill at ease, is going through airports,” Rep. James Clyburn (D-S.C.), who serves as assistant minority leader in the House, said on “Fox News Sunday.”

Clyburn called for the Transportation Security Administration, which administers airport security checkpoints, to interact “a little better” with the Capitol Hill Police.

“We’ve had some incidents where TSA authorities think that congress people should be treated like everybody else,” he said. “Well, the fact of the matter is, we are held to a higher standard in so many other areas, and I think we need to take a hard look at exactly how the TSA interact with members of Congress.”

Im in full support for security of our elected officials but stuff like this ends up benefiting everybody and there brother connected to government while main street America is held to a tuffer more evasive standards. Mr Clyburn also using this tragic event to claim the Fairness Doctrine should be reinstated. My my…..The Left wants it all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
