Russian PM Putin Takes 150-MPH Spin in Formula One Race Car

MOSCOW (AP) – Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has taken a Formula One race car for a spin, reaching speeds of almost 150 mph (240 kph).

Putin signed a deal last month with Formula One chief Bernie Ecclestone to bring F1 racing to Russia starting in 2014.

His televised test drive helps raise the profile of the sport in Russia. It also fits with the action-man image he has cultivated over the years.

After receiving instructions, Putin climbed into the bright yellow race car and drove off by himself along an empty road near St. Petersburg.

When he finished Sunday’s drive and was told his maximum speed, he smiled and said in English: “For the first time it’s good.”

Formula One cars reach speeds of well over 200 mph (300 kph).

anyone get the message Putin is sending to us? after all, he spoke IN ENGLISH for our benefit. yeah yeah, we all can see he is a Tarzan/JohnWayne/James Bond kind of all-around MANLY guy, we know a MAN when we see one and that spoooky Russki is one real Super Villain if he wanted to be. compared to obama who’s prissing around the world on our sweat-soaked Millions of Taxdollars on his glorified mega-vacation right now doing the HokeyPokey. — well, one good thing, Putin is still AWARE that WE are all ARMED and we still have our ‘American Revolution’ and ‘American Cowboy’ history. we’ll defend ourselves!! and America!! even tho obama would roll over for Mother Russia if he thought he could get a vacation out of it.

Brilliant! – Driving a fast car on an empty road is analogous to ruling as a dictator – It‘s easy when there’s no competition! Are we supposed to be impressed? The good news is that Bernie Ecclestone is an equal-opportunity rip-off artist. I‘m glad to see he’s soaking the Russian’s for money too!

Active? Yes. Globally? No. The only sport of the ones you mentioned that’s being played across the world is Basketball. Nobody outside of America cares about Nascar, American Football or Baseball. Diff’rent strokes and all.

Vladimir, you are such a bad boy! How could a girl not swoon over Putin!

    From Wikipedia:

    ——

Putin is credited with bringing political stability and re-establishing the rule of law. During his eight years in office, due to strong macroeconomic management, important fiscal policy reforms, and a confluence of high oil prices, surging capital inflows, and access to low-cost external financing, Russia’s economy bounced back from crisis, seeing GDP increase by 72% in PPP (sixfold in nominal), poverty cut more than half, and average monthly salaries increase from $80 to $640, or by 150% in real rates. Analysts have described Putin’s economic reforms as impressive.

During his presidency, Putin passed into law a series of fundamental reforms, including a flat income tax of 13%, a reduced profits tax, and new land and legal codes.

    ——

Reads to me Vladimir would make an excellent conservative president for America! Certainly he would make a better president than that funny talking muscle head Austrian boy over in Kali-forn-ya.

Well the Ukraine girls really knock me out
    They leave the West behind
And Moscow girls make me sing and shout
That Georgia’s always on my my my my my my my mind.

    I’m back in the U.S.S.R.
You don’t know how lucky you are boy
    Back in the U.S.S.R.

exactly!!! pure propaganda, AIMED RIGHT AT AMERICANS!, but in this case, it is also the very accurate portrayal of a Russki KGB agent turned ruthless mega-country leader. you know he is as cold-blooded as it gets, and only the well-known history of Americanism has staved Russia off this long = we WILL shoot BACK, we are NOT afraid to FIGHT . == Russia and Putin didn’t mess with the U.S because our AMERICAN President George W Bush STOPPED it by making them think twice. Putin is totally laughing at obama’s entirely effeminate prissy personality with these batches of Putin displays of rugged MANLY pursuits. obviosuly Putin has NO respect for obama. Join the club, Putin. sad sad sad that we sure wish we had an American President in office to protect and DEFEND America now who‘s even half as manly as Russia’s Putin. sad day America has such a Miss Priss as obama at our helm.

isn’t it great, the genius of The Blaze, it lets us ”vent vent vent”. great therapy until 2012 when America recovers the Presidency with an actual all-American leading us once again. oh to ‘feel Safe’ under the command of an actual American president again.
until then, watch “Red Dawn’ with Patrick Swayze, stock the pantry shelves, and BUY MORE AMMO.

watching this he-man Russki we cannot help but compare it to obama on a Vineyard vacation tootling around on his tiny little blue bicycle with his little pointy bikey helmet on looking like a 6th grader and slopping ice cream cones all over his face.

we are up against a heavy-duty Russian who is all MAN, an honest to goodness oldfashioned Cold War style MAN’S MAN. and all we have between us and Putin is obama … the totally fake “American” President who is as effeminate and is as anti-American socialist coward as it gets.

Putin is “driving” an F-1 car….not racing ! Sorry, I`m not being picky at you, it`s just that I`ve been around racing all my life, and the claim of “150 mph spin” is all hokey and pokey ! Maybe, just MAYBE, that spin occurred at 40 mph ! Maybe ! And why title the video with references to 240 kph when at no time does Putin reach triple digits ?! I just want truth in advertising !

With Obama-san it would be something like this…

(Obama) “Gee, the car is not eco-friendly, its unsafe, and too tight for me to fit inside, also the car is the wrong coloration, and has no slurpee machine either…must be a government motors design.”

(tow truck owner towing it away) “Just like the administration – blame everything else, and does not work at all…”

Too bad he just did not keep on going out into the ocean or river and not come back. Might have done russia some good. Interesting thing is that the Prime Minister of Russia is trusted with a formula one car for a time, and the American President test drives the new hybrid car for 10 feet. Wonder what that should tell the American people about Obama.
