‘Sad, Pathetic, Fear Mongering’: Rep. Allen West Running Out of Adjectives for Obama

Rep. Allen West pulled no punches in his biting critique of President Obama’s handling of the debt ceiling negotiations. In this interview with CNSNews, the Congressman decried Obama’s implied threat that social security checks might not go out if the debt ceiling is not raised, and referred once again to this lapse in leadership as “sad, pathetic, fear mongering.”
Rep. West draws upon his experience as a military officer to describe how any executive with managerial experience learns to prioritize resources. Rep. West believes the President must find a way to extend current revenues such that seniors and veterans continue to receive their benefits regardless of the debt ceiling.

Posted on July 18, 2011 at 9:13pmSadly, even if you factor in the left-leaning bias of most polls cited by ANY mainstream media source, it is becoming more and more apparent that the stupid/lazy/dishonest people in America are beginning to outnumbering the intelligent/working/honest ones. And even more sadly, they breed at a much higher rate.
The Democrat Party has pretty much destroyed our country (morally and economically) and can ALWAYS be counted on to lie to their constituents. They would rather see this country destroyed than relinquish their power over the stupid/lazy/dishonest sheeple who vote for them. And they’d steal every last dime from the intelligent/working/honest people of America if they could. This is why the REST of us need to figure out a way to separate these evil politicians from office, and develop plans to forge a new union dedicated to our nation’s original founding principles.

The problem with the people is complacency and expecting someone else to do something about the things they are complaining about! Lt Col West IMO is the only one who can take on BHO. He is not part of the good old boys club and b/c he is a man of honor. So much so he he put his military career on the line to save lives and says he wont run for POTUS b/c of his responsibility to those who elected him to Congress. Washington was similar in that he didnt want to be Pres but they asked him and he obliged. FL district 22 its on you to convince this man to run for the White House he WILL get the support he needs. I have no faith in any of the other candidates to take out the machine behind BHO.
Any of them can beat BHO 1 on 1 thats nots the problems its hose who got him elected and support him that are the problem and at this point unbeatable right now. We are on our way to becoming Greece unless someone with the guts like West steps up to the plate!

Not raising the debt ceiling sounds good in theory. Do any of you have an IRA or a 401k? Do any of you have any investments? Do you remember how you felt when the Dow dropped from over 14,000 to 6500 in a matter of months? Remember how it felt to realize that your plans for your golden years might have evaporated? I know all the arguments about how we won’t “really” default but tell it to the markets. Once that August 2 deadline comes and there’s no debt ceiling deal, it’s going to be deja vu on steroids.

They are intended to shape opinions, giving false hope to some while dashing the hopes of others. Keep in mind that there are MANY, many people who stand firm on this issue. Enough is enough with this government and their spending habits. They are about to see a protest like no other—–people on both sides of the aisle have had enough.

They can score points by criticizing Obama without having a single constructive comment. Even if it were to their advantage to offer a solution, they wouldn’t have one.
BTW, Allen West and the army “departed amicably” over him violating the Geneva Convention by putting a gun to a captive’s and threatening to kill him. He was relieved of duty both for violating military law and for being a loose cannon. He was deemed unfit for command, was relieved of duty, sent back to the states and then discharged (honorably I might add, but the military wanted him out).
In any case, if he has an answer to the current negotiations on the debt limit, then let’s hear it. Otherwise, maybe he should keep his own confidence.

As far as Rep. West, I have read MANY different versions of the same story.

MOST people believe themselves to be ‘too busy’ to stay informed.
As such, all they are getting is what percolates to the top of the local news.
In this case, obama’s finger pointing at the republicans is what has percolated to their local news lately. Since they are not informed as to what led us to this point, they are only seeing the Republicans standing firm – which obama has painted as foolish, stubbornness.
They do not know of his ridiculous budget that the socialist democrats voted UNANIMOUSLY AGAINST. They do not know that the socialist democrats have not proposed ANYTHING – just pointed fingers and poo-poo’ed the efforts of the Republicans. They do not see that obama’s ridiculous budget proposal (the one w/ZERO votes) would have INCREASED THE DEFICIT, not cut it.
All they see is what was on the news THIS WEEK.
That is why they think the R’s are being mean.
They don’t know that obama has a strategy of DEMANDING compromise, and RUNNING as far left as he can, so that any ‘compromise’ forces the honest Republican arbiters to give-in COMPLETELY to his ACTUAL desires.

Some times those polls just don’t add up if you ask me. I think that polling today is largely a way of assessing the efficacy of left wing spin, but if perception is seen as reality, then why not make the masses think that everyone else is moving left? Hence the strategic labeling of today‘s conservative as ’extreme’.

While “RC” threw in the scenario of pollsters skewing the results to be in favor of Dems, I think it goes a bit deeper than that. It can be concluded that the politicians are in bed with the media. I think the same conclusion can be drawn when it comes to the pollsters. No political party wants to appear as though they are losing favor. Since we have become a people who largely rely on the media for information, the politicians will use the media to their advantage.
The funny thing is that we are not so naive as to buy into those “facts” as they are portrayed by the media outlets. The problem is that, just as politicians do, the media only divulges so much information, and we are left to create our own conclusions. We now live in a world full of smoke and mirrors. There is no such thing as cold hard facts. And when someone DOES come up with realstic points, they are considered lunatics with extreme views.
I think America is very misguided.

You are right about the sad lack of information to be had! At least newspapers USED to publish both sides of issues, which would give you an opportunity to consider both sides and make up your own mind Most have either gone out of business or gone over entirely to the liberal side.
Sadly, most people believe what they hear on TV news, CNN, MSNBC, etc. If you don’t believe me, just ask them! Most have probably never even SEEN a Glenn Becki show, but will tell you in a heartbeat that he is a “racist right-wing nutcase and a fear monger”, because that is what they repeatedly hear from the media. That is why so many believe all Tea-partiers are racist old white people who just hate Obama because he is black.”
We can NOT uinderestimate the power of mainstream electronic media on public opinion. I fear for our chances of rooting these lice out of our government if this perception continues to be “the norm”.
That is why we des[erately need Allen West to run for POTUS–a man articulate enough to comunicate the Conservative message, honorable enough to restore honor to the Presidency, and because he is black, able to maybe dispose of all the “racism” crap and open people’s eyes to what is REALLY happening to our country. I think in some Liberal states people fear vandalism if they voice their opinion by a sticker . I have to admit that when I load my groceries, I leave my raido on FOX, just to see if anyone will approach me. I must admit, I rarely see a conservative of Republican stickers anywhere. I did see the other day a 2004 Bush sticker.

Don‘t you think Congress’ concern about Social Security, Medicare and medical care might be different if THEY were on the same program as the REST of us, and had not set up a special, sweet deal for themselves? THAT is what comes of letting “professional politicians” run the country—they are running it into the GROUND, because the ONLY thing they care about is keeping their seat on the gravy train by staying in government. That is why they pander to the have-nots and the wealth redistributors–because they know that is their best chance to stay on the gravy train, as long as they keep taking from the producers and giving to the parasites to buy their votes.
