Salem Witches Hold ‘Ritual’ to Stop Tebow & Broncos From Winning

It’s Friday the 13th — a day that may cause some of the more superstitious among us some angst. But it seems Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow, who by all accounts has had a mixed bag of luck on the football field, may need to pray a little bit harder this weekend.

Witches Cast Spell in Salem to Stop Tim Tebow & the Bronos | Tom Brady

A group of witches held what FOX News called “a seance” at noon today in Salem, Mass., in an attempt to cast a spell that would lead Tebow and his team to defeat.

Laurie ‘Lorelei’ Stathopoulos and Lori Bruno, two women who are well-known in the “spiritual” community, planned to assemble at Crow Haven Corner, a witch shop in Salem, to rally the sprits in an effort to bring the New England Patriots to victory on Saturday evening.

Rev. Lori Bruno, one of the witches casting a spell against Tebow

“I’m going to raise the energy of the universe and send out all the good mojo,” Lorelei said in an interview with the Boston Herald. “Lori will call in the Angels.”

To summons the spirits, the witches planned to chant, “Tom Brady will see what he needs to see, be where he needs to be and will take the Patriots to another victory.”

Of course, they said that they don’t plan to hex Tebow, as they’re “good witches.” On their altar, they said they’d have a hand-sewn Brady puppet and “mojo bags” containing herbs and stones for each member of the Patriots.

The Blaze called the store to confirm that the actions took place earlier this afternoon. A storekeeper claimed that the witches did, indeed, partake in the anti-Tebow “ritual.”

According to the woman I spoke with on the phone, though, the practice wasn’t a seance, as outlets were reporting (she didn‘t get into the details and the expert witches weren’t available to comment).

“Basically, it was a ritual for positive things to happen for Tom Brady and the New England Patriots,” she said.

Now, an interesting question comes to mind. If, indeed, God has been intervening at moments to help Tebow on the football field, will there be a spiritual battle unfolding come Saturday night? We’ll all have to wait and see.

Didn’t know witches were into sports… guess you learn something new everyday. BTW, Witches..try praying to God. I’m pretty sure you want to be on his side.

Lastly, this has nothing to do with Tebow winning or losing…this is about Matthew 28 and Tebow is doing exactly what he is called to do. He has won regardless…

Before the psycho voodoo trash of secular humanism comes swinging in with their, but, but, but, that’s a mistranslation. That verse should be prisoners.

Not so! Their was a tradition following the captivity in Egypt of poisoning. The result is obviously murder, BUT the act is carried out BY A WITCH. Thus when the Scriptures were translated to Latin there was a mystery what the intent of the Hebrew word Chasaph was. The Latin settled on the medium of both prisoner and witch as follows, “Veneficas (sive) veneficas non retinebitus in vita”. In English spoken as “You shall not suffer any prisoners, OR WITCHES to live.

Using concoctions for altering reality was considered alchemy. Those who practiced alchemy were considered witches.

That is an excellent question. And just like the witches on the View, these phonies are as effective as a moss covered rock. Also, there are no such thing as “good witches”, either they are phony and doing this carnival act to steal money from people or they have made an pact with satan and they don’t project angels or any “good” thing. They could project ONLY demons in whatever form they choose to appear as. If they want to argue that point then they just need to go read the Bible since it states unequivocally that anyone practicing those kind of arts are in league with satan and are condemned to hell. It also says that even the slightest participation in the occult (and that includes horoscopes), no matter how slight of an involvement God considers that person as being in league with the devil.

Actually Tebow never says “Me, or I” when talking about how a game went. He only praises his teammates. He was also excited to be in the NFL because it would allow him to have more money for the Orpanages he works for in the Phillipines. Somehow I never seem to run into any atheists when I am doing Volunteer work. Tim Tebow is completely selfless on, and off the field. His faith is not about showmanship, or self gratification. The only reason it is even in the news, is because it seems to anger the heck out of non-believers. The attacks are senseless and childish.

Go to your bible, and reply to my comment with matthew Chapter 6 verse 5

may be seen by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full.”

Well, that sounds like Tebow to me, a full on hypocrites

And lets take a look at the next verse, 6

“But you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close your door and pray
to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.”

Hmmmmmm maybe he should stop taking a knee on the field and pick up a playbook, learn some coverage schemes and Blitz packages. Of course, he claims to have spent a lot of time reading the bible, but apparently those two passeges didn’t sink it.

Red, that’s an AWFUL and unscientific narrow minded view of existence. That all reality is completely and utterly encompassed by the things that we can readily observe. Very haughty to believe as humans we know all there is. Hell, we see just a sliver of the spectrum. We are truly limited creatures. And so therefore the machines we build are limited in scope. How then can you definitively state that there is no reality outside of the physical state? How do you say that there is not other PHYSICAL realities beyond some invisible threshold that we do not see past? Hell is real but it’s not what most Christians believe it to be. Heaven is for real. No doubt worlds in between the two, including our own exist somewhere in between. I’d offer you the suggestion to broaden your spectrum of vision. See beyond this sliver of everything that we call reality!!

Locked, I’m sure the initial comment was meant to be light hearted banter. Get the sand out of your vjayjay. Sheesh. I’ve heard worse, much worse from atheists regarding Christians and they were serious! I think she was pointing out that if Red was hoping Broncos lost was just because of Tebow’s displays of reverence that he was sad. And I don’t think anybody is really under the impression that God is intervening in football games. He may bless Tebow’s efforts being that he gives praise to Him and tries to be a witness for Him, but nothing like supernaturally intervening by say making the wind stop during a kick.

Saw some newer comments below Red. I agree with you to an extent. Is it for display? Certainly. Is it narcissistic? Maybe ever so slightly. I do believe he is sincere, that I don’t doubt. But I do hear a lot of stuff that seems like he equates wins to divine intervention. I don’t believe that is the case. I don’t doubt that God blesses him with good hand-eye coordination, balance, focus, that sort of thing, but I also know that he worked years cultivating it. We are seeing the fruits of a blessed harvest if you would. God granted him those attributes and he cultivated what God sowed. He could use the same attributes as a surgeon. But I do believe there is a place for public displays of reverence. Any part of Tebow’s showmanship in doing so not withstanding, it has been a benefit. After the championship game when Tebow wore John 3:16 under his eye paint, Google in 24 hours had over 94 million searches for what most Christians know by heart and just kind of assume everybody else knows. What I DO believe is that he is showing that there is a different side to pro football. One that says you can excel by focusing on the good. Maybe in some way he is encouraging other young men who want to be sportsmen to not be ashamed to reverence God in their playing. That you can be a success and still be a born again believer. And I’m sure many of those 94 mil people had never read it and might never had. You don’t know what lives that may have touched. I say good on him.

      @Red Let’s break this down a bit.

Actually, it is the MOST scientific way to view life. I’ll give you a handy guide.

“This is science. “I find this to interesting/different/strange/indescribable/weird. Lets try and figure out whats going on here!”"

You are absolutely correct. On the flip side of that token, science is not there to offer explanations that are outside their observation. At best, they can give an educated analysis on the manner in which the earth was formed, speaking of creation. But it is outside scientific parameters when they go to speak on the lack of the observed as evidence for no God. For science’s job is to figure out and observe and report on the processes related to the physical. Yet they constantly seem to want to offer commentary.

This is nonsense, or as some people like to call it, religion or faith. “I find this to interesting/different/strange/indescribable/weird. Clearly and invisible man who lives in the clouds and watches everybody all the time had something to do with it.”

Not particularly. From a scientific perspective, it is not ruled out. We have not yet begun to understand the physical universe and it’s properties. We can’t even say how it came to be. The “invisible man” argument is a moot point. God is a Spirit. He operates outside of the physical realm. The OBSERVABLE realm, which is science’s territory. Out of characters..

See the difference? I doubt it, Religious people can’t see much except for

@Red We also don’t observe the entire physical universe. Science has proved that the smallest particles to have mass are neutrinos. But they were just as definitive when they said the atom was the smallest particle. As we get smaller and larger than than the previous known bounds there is a unspoken message that that is it. Done. But new discoveries keep making science realize it has not discovered all there is to discover. And one of those discoveries, decades away, could actually discover the particles or what have you, that God acted on to bring creation together. God is a mathematician but think of us as “hang it on the wall for everybody to see” proud because as kindergartner we have learned that 2+2=4 and at the same time trying to use the law of addition to discern how God created the world and then surmising cause they can’t figure out how to explain it, it must not have been Him. While all the time He was using the principals of quantum mechanics. We’re just learning to finger paint and He is the master painter working with brush and canvas knowing shades that we have not descriptions for. But yet we see ourselves as masters of all that is observable.

What CAN be proven is that throughout history, there have been numerous examples of very intelligent men who have nevertheless been spiritually vacant and have behaved like fools. Re: God ensuring a Broncos victory, I’m pretty confident He has more important things to concern Himself with than a sporting event. One future “important thing” will be a moment on Judgment Day when you will have 100% of His concern and focus. Hopefully, your lost soul will be found before that moment comes. If you don‘t believe that’s your business, but ask yourself why you despise Christians so much. I bet you do. Do you dislike Islam? Are you OK with other religions or is your angst directed mostly at us? I’ll say a prayer for you because I think you want to provoke an argument with Christians. You want us to prove we are right because my guess is you are seeking. On a side note, Tebow is not a good QB but he sure is beloved by millions of folks. He sure has gotten people talking without even trying. He sure is hated for being…..a nice guy doing something harmless. Ask yourself why. Why all the hate and anger at this guy. Plenty of thug behavior these NFL stars exhibit folks could hate but they go for Tebow. Why? Maybe the same reason the crowds chose to free Barnabas ( a convicted brutal murderer) and crucify Jesus. The World blindly hates us Red. You are part of that but I think you at least aren’t sure why. I‘ll say a prayer to He who you supposedly don’t believe in that you hear his knock. Time is short. Forgive me for wanting the best for you. Least I can do as the same thing happened to me and I am now walking down a path ith Christ instead of wandering the world in darkness. Take care buddy and G=d bless you!

I think this is great, lets have a gathering like Elijah, If JESUS is LORD lets worship HIM, if satan and his witches are the power lets worship them. Lets pray that GOD will be honored and his name made great, by letting the Bronco’s win by 20 points. How about that. Let the curse they send fall on the patriots. People will see GOD is sovereign, and does what ever HE wants, even in football games. I mean come on HE is GOD, read Isaiah chapters 40 thru 48 to see what GOD says about himself. Then fall down and repent. HE DOES WHAT HE WANTS, WHEN HE WANTS, IF HE WANTS. You know just like you want to do.

If a woman weighs the same as a duck, then she’s made of wood (after all, how else would she burn?), and therefore a witch. Ducks float therefore to apply this test to your subject, simply throw her into a body of water. Or obtain a duck and a large scale.

Later today, Christians plan on holding a ritual to reduce the power of the Salem witches. First they will hold a trial to confirm they are guilty of witchcraft, followed by burning them at the stake.

LMAO! I bet this is causing many of the Patriot players to slap their foreheads and say “Oh no!” This just feeds into the whole silly idea that this game represents good vs. evil and puts more pressure on the Pats. I really hope the Broncos win, but I’m not attributing a win or a loss to God unless some supernatural event occurs during the game on live television that makes it clear. And if THAT happens, the rest of the teams in the playoffs can kiss that superbowl ring bye bye!

Game ON! I am assured, sir, in the sacred writings that ‘Except the Lord build the house ,they labor in vain that build it.” as Dr.Benjamin Franklin reminded his peers June 28,1787.I have also read in the Holy Writ – as Roger Sherman called it Sept.25,1789 when Congress acted to adopt the language used in Our Bill of Rights and then acted to petition the President to set aside and proclaim a National day of Thanksgiving and Prayer signal to the event. That same volume declares “Thou shalt not permit a sorceress to live.Exodus22:18 and The Apostle Paul warned the Galatians of the works of the flesh Chapter 5 verses 19-21. Saying those who practice witchcraft ,along with the rest, shall not inherit the kingdom of God.If the infidel and unbelievers wish to play with power they do NOT understand they do so to their hurt.If the Broncos lose–hey they can always blame the witches of Salem–eh?

      @REDDEN
      The atheist’s “pray-err”

Now I lay me down to sleep
Of ‘God’ I don’t believe nor seek
Just to think only I control my life
Fills me with a sense of pride
So when my time ‘awake’ is through
      I guess I won’t be seeing you
In fact I won’t see anyone
I’ll just not ‘be’ once life is done
So I ask you just respect my wish
That I be treated like the fish
That swim so free way down below
      And soon to fertilizer go
Because “I think, therefore I am”
I’m sure I can do what your ‘god’ can
I know you wish your God I’d see
But I just can’t seem to get over ME
With my other side of eternity
      Fast approaching though it be
I do good and got great DNA
So let me have my own way
Then was heard way up high
“Mocking ME is no way to die”
