Samuel L. Jackson: ‘I Voted for Barack Because He Was Black’

Samuel L. Jackson: I Voted for Barack Because He Was BlackSamuel L. Jackson only voted for President Barack Obama because of the color of his skin, the Hollywood actor revealed in a profanity-laced interview in the March issue of Ebony magazine.

“I voted for Barack because he was black. ’Cuz that’s why other folks vote for other people — because they look like them,” Jackson said. “That’s American politics, pure and simple. [Obama’s] message didn’t mean sh-t to me. In the end, he’s a politician. I just hoped he would do some of what he said he was gonna do.

According to the New York Post, the “Pulp Fiction” legend repeatedly dropped the N-word during his cover story interview.

“When it comes down to it, they wouldn’t have elected a [bleep],” Jackson said. “Because, what’s a [bleep]? A [bleep] is scary. Obama ain’t scary at all. [Bleeps] don’t have beers at the White House. [Bleeps] don’t let some white dude, while you in the middle of a speech, call [him] a liar” — an apparent reference to Rep. Joe Wilson’s “You lie!” outburst during Obama’s health care address to a joint session of Congress in 2009.

Jackson continued, “A [bleep] would have stopped the meeting right there and said, ‘Who the [bleep] said that?’ I hope Obama gets scary in the next four years, ’cuz he ain’t gotta worry about getting re-elected.”

Defending his repeated use of the racial epithet, Jackson said it “became a part of my vocabulary when I was born.”

“Because it was used on me in my house, often . . . I know the word [bleep] as an admonishment, an endearment, a criticism and an invective. So I use it; I don’t run from it. I don’t have an issue with it or who says it. I always put it in the context of how it was used on me,” he said.

Jackson previously made political headlines in October, when he agreed with fellow actor Morgan Freeman’s assessment that the Tea Party was “racist.”

“It’s pretty obvious what they are,” Jackson said in an interview with New York Magazine. “The division of the country is not about the government having too much power. I think everything right now is geared toward getting that guy out of office, whatever that means.”

Jackson continued, “It’s not politics. It is not economics. It all boils down to pretty much to race. It is a shame.”

Voting him in because he is black is just as racist as not voting for him because he is black.

I sure wish Allen West would run.

I would definately vote for Congressman West. That would pose a problem, however, for those who vote soley on race. They may actually have to look at the ideas, values, and policies which are endorsed by the candidate. I wonder what insult they would use instead of racist when we vote for Mr. West.

…and I wouldn’t mind voting for Thomas Payne as a V.P. He has good ideas and so much more economic sense than the losers now running the show!

Well there you go, right out of the horses mouth, at least he was honest about it, and that is the reason he is getting a pass now with the mess he has created/extended, any white president that added to the debt, had these high unemployment numbers would have an approval rating of 20%

You know what’s funny? You see, Jackson thought that if he made a whole bunch of money and dressed nice and had nice houses and cars that he would not be looked at like he was a fricking bleeper. But, even with all of that, when he walks down the street he is STILL considered to be nothing but another fricking bleeper. That is why he is so angry. He is still what what he was born.

A man should be judged by the content of his character, rather than the color of his skin !! Voting for somebody off of there skin pigmentation, shows RACISM !! My skin tone ?? White ! Who cares !! I am an AMERICAN ! Damn it, enough of the DIVISENESS !! Our country is being divided by design ! What is the reason ,one would say ? To create division, hatred , and violence !! When this happens , many will beg the GOV’T to step in and SAVE US !! And so the GOV’T. shall step in with more implementation of more laws, rules , and regulation !! YOU WILL LOSE YOUR FREEDOMS !!

I think it’s pride that keeps them from changing their views. After Obamacare turns on them, maybe they’ll figure it out-hard knocks.

Boy! this is tough, I love Jackson’s works as an actor….which is the problem with actors…we paint a picture in our minds of who they are based on the characters they play. But he is clearly misguide and may himself be a racist. He thinks that I think about things the way he wants me to…but I don’t. I have known black racists and black open minded people who think like I do about the equality of men and our quest for the best for every man. The racist thinks he knows what everyone around him thinks about his race and therefore bases his feelings on a false assumption. I could never befriend a black racist because he thinks I am one (racist) and judges me judging him. I have over the years been friends with black non-racists, but the black racists would call my friend an “Uncle Tom”. Therein lies the reason that it doesn’t matter to black racists that Justice Clarence Thomas is a brilliant (black) man, he has given up the struggle by being respected and accepted by “white folks”. The same is thought about Col. West, Thomas Sowell, Alan Watts, and Herman Cain (to name very few). It doesn’t matter who the black Conservative is…he is automatically marginalized to a shockingly large sement of the black community by being called a traitor to the Cause, because what truly black man would become a Republican? This situation won‘t get better until inner city black kid get the benefit of a good education by teachers who don’t bring a liberal agenda to their c

Where do they get off calling the Tea Party racist or any other white organization. Black people are 100 times more racist than any white person I know. I see they still have a BLACK MISS AMERICA, but whites can’t have a white MISS AMERICA. They still have ***** colleges, which whites cannot attend. There are still some southern Baptist and Penecostal churches in the south that still will not allow whites to attend. So don’t talk to me about whites being racist. It is plain BULL.

LUKABRASI, well said. I agree I really like West, however the damage is done. I don’t know how it can be fixed when BHO is out of office (IF) His being in office has set our country back as far as racism goes. Very sad, MLK did not want this for Americans. I fear more racial problems thanks to the mainstream media and the progrssives pulling the race card at every turn. It has stirred up so much hate. If we do win in 2012 and reform the damage that BHO has done it will cause more conflict between the races. I wish I knew the answer, but I fear things will only get worse.

There is no doubt in my mind that many people will and have voted for someone simply because that person is just like them (whether it be a person of the same color, same religion, ethnicity, etc.); the difference in 2008 was that the candidates weren’t just white candidates. As a white man I’m happy to have voted for Obama but for me it had nothing to do with his skin color but rather he being the smarter, more articulate candidate (especially during the debates). Regardless of whether Samuel L. Jackson voted for Obama based on being a black man, he was still the better candidate. I know and work with some “people” who happen to have black skin and they work very hard for what they have and do not feel entitled to anything. This however is not the norm, most black feel they are owed this and that and hate the white man. FYI the tea party is racist otherwise why are they would be supporting the only republican who will do what they say they are for doing: Ron Paul is that person. And other point proves is that newt or mr rick are getting huge tea party support and endorsements, newt supported health mandates and cap and trade, and rick wants to police your bedroom, and life styles ( and not just gays either, anything he doesnt deem family values will be attacked both in the market place and on the internet) yes, do i even need to talk about mr mit? All four bo included have done and supported the same policies to a degree, but yet the tea party still supports the white guys, in my world one plus one equals 2.

Great point. The hypocrisy of this interview is astonishing on so many levels. After going on and on about his “justification” for voting for someone based on skin color, he calls the tea party racist. Why? That’s right, because he claims they make decisions based on skin color. I’m sure he would have voted for Herman Cain…..right? There is nothing that takes more political courage today, than to be a black conservative in America. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PKZhaEFA1Yk

Sheep is right, we all said this before the election. If voting for someone just because they are white is racist, why is it not racist to vote for someone just because they are half-black. Yes, half-black, as much as he denies his white heritage, his mother and maternal rand parents who brought him up, he is still not full fledged black, he is half of each race. There is a fallacy in this country that leads people to believe that black people cannot be racist. Only white people can get charged with hate crimes. But when the exact same situation occurs, it is then NOT a hate crime. A hate crime is a hate crime no mater what race is the perpetrator. You cannot even bring up the subject of blacks being racist without getting attacked. This is why it continues. But as for Jackson, that is why you are not a politician, you don’t matter, and neither does your opinion, you are here merely for entertainment purposes.

Two of the current candidates are protraying themselves not as they believe and have stated in interviews but because what they are now saying would cause people to look somewhere else! My state only has two people on the ballot because the rest of the candidates didn’t bother to follow the rules they were given. Then they blame the rule makers showing their own stupidity! Those who didn’t bother to follow the rules are Santorum and Newtie! Thankfully, the only two on the ballot are Romney and Paul! I will definitely be supporting the only candidate who can actually turn my country around and beat Obama! That will not be union loving Santorum who has changed his beliefs just to run and Gingrich who is an arrogant idiot!

“Samuel L. Jackson: ‘I Voted for Barack Because He Was Black’

Gee, what a surprise. I would never have been able to guess that if he hadn’t come out and admitted it.

So what’s new? I mean, 90% of all blacks voted for Obama because he was black. And the same percentage dwell on nothing but race over and above every other issue.

While the rest of the country is worryng about the Iranian situation, or other important matters, the vast majority of blacks are concerned with nothing else but blacks and black issues to the exclusion of everything else, including the Black Caucus in Congress. The subject of race completely consumes them. And. every black talking head on T.V. concerns himself with a racial angle no matter what the topic being discussed might be.

Too often the same atitude displayed by the above Jackson can be found in abundance throughout the black community, egged on by instigators who are in a constant hysteria about all the ills the black man has to endure at whitey’s hand, which is completely false but accounts for the epidemic of black on white attacks throughout the country.

While the rest of the country concerns itself with many issues, blacks have but one they always discuss: Racism and oppression against blacks. That there is very little of that today doesn’t matter. They love to preach hate.

With blacks everything begins and ends with race, and they are the most racist group in the US today.

You are the racist Samuel. Great thing is, we, the people, aren’t forced to watch any of your movies. We “vote” with our dollars at the box office. Every over political piece of crap in Hollywood that pushes the envelope in this area, demanding others do as they will never themselves do, is always on my list of people I refuse to give money to their movies. Adam Levine is an excellent and talented artist, (Maroon 5), but when he threw a twitter fit over Fox using his song going into break on The Five, and the idiocy he proclaimed while doing so sealed his fate for me. I guess when he said he didn’t need their “effin” money, he meant it. I guess he thinks “The Voice” is going to last forever. That is a crappy show too. It’s really sad that people, regardless of what race THEY are, have to try and turn the conservative movement’s disgust with Obama into a racial issue. Samuel L. Jackson and Morgan Freeman (who is one of my most favorite actors) honestly believe that people like me who don’t like Obama MUST be racists? They can’t seem to imagine that anyone could simply not like what Obama is doing to our country, putting us trillions and trillions more into debt, trying to force us all into socialized medicine, wants to take away our constitutional rights to keep and bear arms, constantly bypasses Congress by using regulation, executive orders, fiats etc…. Yeah…what’s not to love about the guy?

I’ve always figured that Samuel L. Jackson was a racist and now he’s proved it. I’m saddened to find out the Morgan Freeman is in the same class with Jackson…always thought he was a smarter man than that.

That’s right, white people. Good grief, if any white actor said the same thing about a white president he would be crucified in the press, and by the Screen Actors Gild. It’s sad that we have to discuss this issue. Aren’t we all Americans…..Didn’t Martin Luther King tell us we should be judged as who we are, and not by the color of our skin. If we have a lot people like the idiot Samuel L. Jackson thinking and saying things like he just did, then this country will never be of one, “American”. Although I did not vote for Obama, I can tell you it was not because of the color of his skin, but the policies that I thought he would pursue, and did. I consider him a great American who I just disagree with him politically. This is my right an an American. It’s the hate from both sides of the political spectrum that has caused this type of attitude in certain people and races.Unfortunately this is what the politicians want so they can keep their political bases for power and money! We as Americans have a right to disagree, but not the right to spread hate and violence! We have to be a nation of one, Americans, or we will not be a nation at all, but just a polarized country that will have no future. God Bless America!

Very Interesting! I never think about the color of a person when that person is a lover of Constitution, a Patriot, a conservative thinker! I might have voted for Obama except, I didn’t like the people he hung out with (un-American) a pastor who hated America, the Saul Alinski tactics, and all these things told who he was, and I didn’t like who he presented himself to be.
Now, on the other hand I never questioned Herman Cain’s loyalty to America and had every intention of voting for him, but the radical left was so afraid that WE loved him, they had to put him down.
If I’m not mistaken, Herman Cain is Black, but, I never noticed his color because he seemed to be a true American with American values.
I do believe from what I’ve been witnessing that it IS the blacks who are the true racists. If I can remember a few of the names: Jesse Jackson, Sheila Jackson Lee, Max Watters, etc. I can name more blacks I truly love, so when I search my heart, I know I’m not the racist, if anything it’s the socialistic whiner blacks whom I have no use for. And same goes for socialistic white whiners.

There are many good Christian black people that I know, however, most black people are ignorant to the issues and by choice prefer to be on the Darkside. All you have to do is look at affirmative action, the NAACP, Ebony, Black Colleges, the whole stinking lot of em to find where racism is. All white organization? Racist. All white Magazine? Racist. All white college? Again, racist. Yet its not racism when you exclude whites? Its not racism when you tell a white person who is proud of his anglo saxon heritage that he isn’t allowed to feel that way because to do so is racist?

I’ve had it with whiners like him and Morgan Freeman (another great actor) seeing everything through race. They act like they’ve had it so much worse than the pimply dork, overweight boy or girl, kid with one arm or one strapped a wheel chair for life. It’s all about them, which is completely in line with being an actor. Quit being so damned myopic, self-centered and go out and help every person who: Bleeds red blood, or who Christ died for. Well, that’s the problem with what America has become: A Democracy. We used to be a Constitutional Republic, but now we are a Socialist Democracy, backed by a Judicial Dictatorship.

Jackson, Freeman and the likes of Sir Paul McCartney make good art, music, etc., but have the political education of a third grader.

Yes he has some good ideas, but the thing is he can’t win an election against Obama. You complain about Obama being radical but you are every bit as radical in the other direction. We need government drastically downsized, the military kept at reasonable levels, and the entitlement programs either drastically changed or done away with and this country would be fine, able to balance a budget and actually pay our debt down a bit.

Tea Party were called racists by the real racists. The Jeanine Garafalo types and all the people who voted for him because he was black or they felt it was time for a black president regardless of anything he was doing are the racists and the idiots. The Tea Party people were the ones aware of what was really going on and how our freedom and our country was in danger. They were saying….stop the spending, stop taking our freedom away. Yea, how does he explain the number of people who would have voted for Herman Cain, had the establishment not run him out of the game? I still think Herman Cain was our BEST bet to beat Obama. Obama knew it, the establishment (who don’t want anything to change) knew it. I personally think it was Mitt Romney’s team that did it. @ Jiggasparks Tell me again what color the skin of Herman Cain is? Last time I checked, he wasn’t white. He was the Tea Party favorite until he pulled out. The Tea Party didn’t support Barack Hussein Obama because he is a liberal, left-wing, racist who was ‘hand-picked’ by the left to fill that seat. Until he became president he had never held a real job, never managed anything, never supervised anybody, had written nothing but anti-America and ‘anti-white’ books, went to a anti-American racist Church and was downright worthless. He only got the nomination because all of the leftist democrats thinking Hillary Clinton had the election locked up, crossed over and voted for McCain on the Republican ticket. It back-fired on them and they ran with it. Check your history (and nothing has changed) and you won’t find democrats freeing slaves (Republican Abraham Lincoln), sending in the National Guard to remove a democratic governor from blocking blacks from entering a school house (Republican Dwight D. Eisenhower) or getting disadvantaged black children into highly academic local schools (Republican George W. Bush) – by the way, your beloved Barack Hussein Obama took that away from them and put his daughters in the school! You don‘t learn from history and that’s way you let the democrats and the ‘elite’ blacks like Jesse Jackson and company keep you down. It‘s why you’ve allowed Planned Parenthood and a poverty mindset to keep you and your population down – way

Now Sam Jackson‘s an idiot for voting for someone simply because he’s black. But ask someone, “Why did you vote / are you voting for Romney?” (Or Gingrich or whatever) How many of them respond with, “I don’t know, there’s just something I like about him. He looks like a president. He acts presidential. I don’t know, he just seems like he’d make a good president.” Same thing Jackson said. It’s just Jackson is more blunt about it.

Do I think Jackson’s an idiot? Yes. But that doesn’t mean his comments about how other people vote are far off of the truth. Regardless of whether or not it has to do with race, it seems to me like most people really have no legit reasons why they vote for who they vote for.

damn I hope you are wrong, but I have had a feeling for quite a while, that either way O wins or loses, this is not going to end good. If he wins our country goes completely down the crapper no doubt about it, if he loses he creates a crisis on his own and the country goes down the crapper. Like I said I really hope you are wrong but I am hoarding ammo because this feeling just won’t go away.

Don’t think so Charlie Brown. In the first place there’s no guarantee that that lying, deceiving, good for nothing sob will wake up on the right side of the grass every morning between now and election day. you see there is such a thing in Divine Providence, something the Looney Tunes on the left do not believe in, but just because the left does not believe in God, does not mean that He does not exist. If Obama graced the presence of the dearly departed, not many would shed a tear, except those who were counting upon him to perpetuate the destruction of our country.

Well, this white guy won’t watch any more of his movies. Let’s see how much money he makes when only people of his color are paying to watch the cr ap coming out of Hollyweird. If whites only voted for whites, there would be no Obummer. I used to think it was silly to say Liberalism was a mental disorder, not anymore. The color doesn’t matter to me, I would vote for Allen West in a New York second. I will only vote for those that respect our Constitution.

Well. The President‘s Office of Theatrical Income Equality will just have to redistribute some of this white boy’s income so people of color can afford to see those movies and Mr. Jackson and other actors of color can maintain the meager income they have come to endure in a white-dominated Hollywood hegemonic culture.

Samuel L Jackson, another one of the Kllan with a tan. Ok to be racist if you are black. Message is clear. Got it a long time ago. Most worrisome is not someone like Mr. Jackson; easy to deal with. It is the liberal whites who have power to come down on any honky that gets out of line and take his stuff, ruin his job, and render him broke.

Since the 60′s a lot of decent people of ALL races have tried to see that racism ends. But in the last 3+ years people like this and others, including Barry, have torn down all that was built. I know it‘s Barry’s goal to divide and conquer the country to impose socialism and he’s getting a lot of help from men like this and other power hungry people. Saddest part is, so many people are falling for it.

The man is very honest. His comment that he hopes Obama “ gets scary in the next four years” shows the anger and hatred in Obama’s base of supporters. Is there any doubt as to why Obama and the Democrats are running that I Hate America / anti-rich/ anti- bankers / anti-CEOs / anti-capitalism rhetoric ???? That is just what his angry base wants to hear. Obama’s Marxist mentors taught him to hate America ( Ironic that Jackson calls the Tea Party “racist” when Jackson himself uses racist language ! See, he bought the Democrats parroted phraseology …remember Pelosi and the AstroTurf bit ? ) ) The Divider-in-Chief and his minions are up to NO good !

Correct. There are plenty of graves in post-colonial Africa filled with whites murdered by vengeful blacks. Yes, colonialism of Africa was wrong. To kill a white child as revenge is still evil.

That same hatred exists in the US. They know they have the power base now. They have enough non-whites who hate whites, plus complicit/cowardly whites to do what they want. At like a hypnotized idiot, the average American white person thinks this is about the Constitution. Those like Mr. Samuel L. “hang whitey high” Jackson don’t care about any silly piece of paper. It is about vengance.

Barry knows this. He and his cronies can barely contain themselves. Complicit are those, like Leon Panetta, who never have aligned themselves with traditiona American patriots. Just like Trotsky and Lenin, Panetta is part of the people who hate western man. Remember, we have been taught to hate Russians, but Russians and patriotic Americans are cut from the same cloth; we are very much alike, people generally of honor and loving our families. And Christian.

The Bolsheviks murdered millions of Russians. The evil was not Russian, it was Bolshevism, and it is here in the US. They hate us. They don’t care about a Constitution. Get it in your heads. Your children are not precious to them. Your children are their enemies. At some point you will be forced to choose. Piecemeal is how they get us.

Jackson said he voted for Obama using race as his standard.

Then he calls the attitude of the Tea Party’s rejection of Obama racist? As if, to him, using race as a standard is something bad?

Why do citizens need to be hyphenated-Americans? Isn’t being American about the core principles and values that all loyal citizens share regardless of ethnicity? Do we have holidays or “appreciation” months in honor of just blacks (as if to say they alone need special encouragement or entitlements) or must we take time out of the year for white people too, out of fairness? If we can have a Martin Luther King Day, why not a Davy Crockett Day…as in “Remember the Alamo!”? He was an American martyr too. As it is, our hypocritical culture has become ethnocentric for blacks.
