San Diego’s Fireworks FAIL: Entire Show Goes Off at Once!

Last night, tens of thousands gathered in and around San Diego Harbor for the Big Bay Boom fireworks show. The Glorietta Bay show is billed as one of the largest in the country and was supposed to be a 17-minute, pyrotechnic spectacular scheduled to start at 9pm. It wasn’t.
Instead of seeing a choreographed, computer-controlled fireworks show synched to music, people saw less than a minute of chaos. Thanks to a glitch in the system, all of the explosives ignited at the same time.
Twenty minutes after the technical glitch happened, Harbor officials announced the bad news to the massive crowd. Needless to say, there are hundreds of YouTube videos of the failure. He offer a few for your review.
This amateur videographer wondered if the show combined “beginning and grand finale all at the same time?”
The woman heard in this clip has good instincts.
Fortunately, no one was injured during the mishap.
If you were there in San Diego and have video to share or one that is already posted on YouTube, please send it to TheBlaze.

Posted on July 5, 2012 at 10:01pmLets hope no blacks showed up. They tell us that the 4th is a White Independence Day because blacks were slaves. Blacks force whites to stay home from work and shut down the Government on MLK Day even though MLK didn’t care squat for white people. Thanksgiving is a white day too because there were not blacks at the Pilgrims and Indians celebration at Plymouth.

Posted on July 5, 2012 at 9:14amThats the best firework show ever! only lasted a minute? Perfect!
Firework shows that drag on just get boring. Now what I would like to see is someone start inventing fireworks that explode into different shapes or even into flags or faces. Just looking at different color circles for a half hour tends to get very boring.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!!!!!!!

Perhaps, next time we can take it just a little slower and I‘m certain you’ll do much better. There’s really nothing to be ashame about… really.

Posted on July 5, 2012 at 8:06amthe extremists pro-environment crowd probably paid off a firework’s show employee to sabotage the show since they could not stop the fireworks show in court. for years now the AL GORE fan club has been trying to sue to have fireworks shows shut down if they are near a body of water or the ocean.

Aren’t these the folks that want to run everything?
Eggcellent
Posted on July 5, 2012 at 6:16pmYup, these are the same schlemiels who think that their way is the ONLY way to run the Country. On the other hand, little Independence, Oregon had a breakfast at the fire station (which pays for next year’s fireworks), a two-mile run and walk, an AWESOME parade, a festival down in the park along the river, complete with local bands and lots of food vendors (I had my first “deep-fried Snickers bar” – OMG, it was one of the tastiest things I’ve had in YEARS – don’t bypass it if you have an opportunity to try one – ooey-gooey GOODNESS!!!) and a magnificent, AWESOME fireworks display over the river which must have lasted at least 1/2 hour. A whole wonderful day of wholesome family entertainment, no fights, no drive-by shootings, just kids and grown-ups getting along, enjoying each other and having fun. It was like being transported back to the 50‘s or 60’s, like America USED to be. “Mayberry” DOES still exist, you just have to cut through all of the Marxist/Communist CRAP to find it!!
