‘Sanity’ Rally Attracts Fair Share of Racist Nutjobs

SecularStupidest has sent along a couple of videos from the “Restoring Sanity” rally on Saturday.  It is never fair to define any crowd by the fringe elements.  The left does that to the right all the time.  So this is helpful to show that you can find unstable examples in any large crowd.

The second video gives us a look at some of Astroturf in action at the rally. Republicorp is turning up everywhere these days. At least they weren’t choking anyone this time.

Thanks to our ruling class – the ones making decisions and laws which people do not want – we no longer have a choice between good and bad. Our choice is now between bad and worse. Do people realize we’ve spent our entire existence fighting Socialism, Fascism, Marxism, and Communism, and now we are being seriously threatened from within! It is coming directly from OUR house – the White House – our president and his lapdogs in Congress and the media. What is going on? Where is Paul Revere when you need him? Where is our next Ronald Reagan? Where is the remembrance of American blood spilled all across the globe for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness? Why apologize for that?

What has happened to America? Why would any right-minded person choose to abandon the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, our American heritage, the Founding Fathers, and the vehicles that have brought us over 234 years of an unprecedented standard of living? These things have made us truly exceptional when we’ve used them as intended, and not subverted them. Why do the media sellouts not realize this? What are their motives? How can we rescue ourselves from this cesspool of corruption, fraud, waste and abuse?

I believe that “It’s the message, folks.” Yes, it’s the economy, stupid, but it’s also the distorted message fueled by short memories which ignore history. Failure with the message is the major reason why the economy is such a mess. It is why the sellout of our media has been so God-awful destructive. They control the message. They control what is, and what isn’t, allowed into the discussion. They interpret the message. And they have betrayed us. Having their pieces in the right places, they’ve kept us at bay. Or, so they thought.

Enter the Tea Party Movement. Panic on the left because the message has revived: We will win back America one heart, soul, and mind at a time. We must, each of us, pick up the torch – the message – and carry it forward. Where the media have sold out, we must do it ourselves. If this doesn’t look, sound, and feel like the 1770’s, what else could? Off the couch, the new American Patriots “get it.” Marginalize these messengers at your own risk.

Consider this: Victoria Hill is a proud Democrat who said that when she voted for Barack Obama in 2008, it was the most excited she’d been about politics in 58 years. But now, Democrats trying to win back Congress will have to do so without her. Victoria is staying home on Election Day. She dismisses her decision with a flick of her wrist. That nonverbal gesture says more than any words ever could. She didn’t need a teleprompter to make herself clear. Victoria is paying just enough attention to partially “get it.” She put down the Kool Aid and decided to sit this one out. With her, gullibility is waning, and sanity is halfway home.

There are Victorias all over the place. They are in your neighborhood, at work, in your PTA, at church, or in your family. These folks are in varying degrees of “getting it.” Deep inside, they know that something is terribly wrong. Things don’t feel right. People feel it, and they inherently know it. They will wake up if somebody leads them to it. Someone like us. Unlike the Progressives, who drag people kicking and screaming, we can lead with an arsenal of facts; principled, time-honored, and value-driven common sense; lots of goodwill, and a smile. One person at a time.

are any of you really that upset about this? i saw it as a group of comedians doing comedy and like any public gathering there are douchebags in the crowd. should i codemn all tea partiers because i see misspelled misinformed or racist signs? i dont because once you look past the gop and corporate tools who have latched on to them, i have little beef with the tea party message. and no i wouldnt bring my family to the beck rally. conservatives are not concerned with what goes on in my neighborhood or the surrounding area, which is worse. the base wouldnt have that. or they would and fnc, which ive watched since 9/11, would focus more on black issues and concerns. and go….

I think it‘s sad that anybody wouldn’t bring their family to Beck’s rally. The rally wasn’t about a tea party message. It was about “Faith,Hope and Charity”.That’s a message that works in any neighborhood. Also why do you need FNC to focus more on black issues? That’s part of the problem in this country today.Black/white,left/right,dem/repub,liberal/conservative,us/them issues. How about just plain old American issues?

I doubt 10% of this assemblage of frustrated comedians will even go to the polls on Tuesday. They’ll either sleep in, blame it on any foul weather (a wind chill of 40 degrees or below should do it. If it’s raining, well, fuggedaboutit!), or get stoned and or blasted on election eve.

America needs a good dose of COMMON SENSE. We are a misguided people, held captive to IGNORANCE.
2 Chronicles 7: 11 – 16 tells us: “When Solomon had finished the temple of the Lord and the royal palace, and had succeeded in carrying out all he had in mind to do in the temple of the Lord and in his own palace, the Lord appeared to him at night and said: I have heard your prayer and have chosen this place (Jerusalem) for myself as a temple for sacrifices. When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people (see 2 Samuel 7: 23 – 24 where God chose a people to be his FOREVER), IF MY PEOPLE, WHO ARE CALLED BY MY NAME (The God of Israel), WILL HUMBLE THEMSELVES AND PRAY AND SEEK MY FACE AND TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS (this is all that God requires), THEN WILL I HEAR FROM HEAVEN AND WILL FORGIVE THEIR SIN AND WILL HEAL THEIR LAND. Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place. I have chosen and consecrated this temple so that MY NAME may be there forever. My eyes and my heart will always be there.”
Though we no longer remember that we are descendants of ancient Israel and are God’s Chosen People, God still knows where we are and what we are going through. He can still deliver us from our ancient Assyrian/Gothic enemies that have come against us AGAIN. We have such a difficult time understanding what is happening to us at the present time because like I’ve said many times before, that was exactly the plan of the enemy satan, and satan’s worshipers – our enemies, to keep us in ignorance. History is being played out here, and we have come full circle to the ancient enemy that took us captive to Assyria. The question is…are we going to let them recapture us and rule over us again or are we going to take a firm stand against them. I know that the Bible tells us that we will overcome our enemies, but we have to make it happen with our votes so the enemies that have come up against us WILL HEAR US LOUD AND CLEAR.

OMG…scary stuff. I wish that individuals who support communism would go live in a communist country. If it is so damn bad here, go somewhere where it is so much better. They don.t seem to realize that if they were in a communist country they wouldn’t even be standing where they were with the signs that they carry saying the words they were saying…Learn your history people and then decide how much you like communism and socialism.

Here is an idea for anyone who wants to try to do it. It’s one I thought up, but don’t know how to go about getting something like that off the ground.. Start an organization that will give free one way tickets out of the country to the communist country of their choice. And they would also have to denounce their American citizenship before receiving the ticket…

I would donate to that cause……just sayin’

My husband and I have friends who are legal citizens from Russia aNd the Ukraine. Our friend from the Ukraine was crippled. Easily fixed here and a whole new life provided, but also worked for. He is one of the hardest workers/decent people we know. Some of the greatest voices we have for liberty and freedom in this country are those who have endured the end effect of what our government is trying to create here. They are afraid they will face it all over again…so many of our youth will not see until it is at their door and it scares me.

      mjbeejr,

And that should be reason enough for these corrupt professors to lose their jobs. I once thought that places of higher learning were for higher learning, but I grew up and figured out that most places of higher learning teach in the gutter. This should be a warning to parents. Before you spend your hard earned money you need to research the staff of the Colleges or University your children want to attend. If you send (and pay for it) your child to a place that turns them against their own country, then you are partly to blame.

The fact that these weirdos showed up for the Stewart rally don‘t reflect on those who organize it any more than the weirdos who show for Tea Party rallies or Beck’s rally should reflect on Beck or the Tea Party. Fringe lunatics aren’t representative of anything but being fringe lunatics.

Why turn this into a contest? The event pulled from the local schools that brought students out to hear the music and see the comedians. HuffPo paid for 200 buses to provide a free trip. So what, it was an event, people came, it had nothing to do with any previous event. To set here and throw barbs at it is childish and idiotic. We have a hell of a lot more serious issues than a faux political event.
Whant to make a difference? Forget posting here, get to the polls on Tuesday and vote for the candidate that you feel will stand for the Constitution!
