‘Santa and Machine Guns’: AZ Gun Club Holds Unique Photo Session With St. Nick

He’s making a list, checking it twice, and apparently making sure there’s plenty of 7.62 mm ammo on it.
The Scottsdale Gun Club held a “Santa and Machine Guns” event last week, and the combination of Saint Nicholas and military weaponry for a photo op has already created quite a buzz.
The gun club invited families to take holiday card picture with Santa and variety of fully automatic weapons (unloaded or rendered inert, one assumes). Adults were also invited to test out the guns at the club’s range.
One gun club member told KSAV-TV the event is “all in fun for those who support the 2nd amendment, and those who don’t, whether your a gun advocate or you’re not, you should have a lot of fun with it.”
The Daily Mail has compiled a slideshow of the “Santa and Machine Gun” photos posted to Facebook, which you can view here.
This is the second year the Scottsdale gun club has put on this event. Another “Santa and Machine Gun” event is set for Dec. 10th.

I agree that this is little more than “in your face” bad press and perpetuates the left wing stereotype of “radical Christians”. I have been a gun owner, inthusiast and responsible user for 35yrs and I personally don’t want to be portrayed this way publically.
All that being said, I sure would like to shoot that Dillion rotating gun on the left. 4,000 rounds per minute of 7.62×63. Be fun to cut a car in half with it!

Everything else looks to be either 5.56mm or 7.62. x39mm, whether full or semi-auto and so are not technically “submachine guns” which are again, technically, chambered in pistol calibers, e.g., 9mm or 45ACP.
But I agree with your ascertain that nothing says Christmas like Santa and automatic weapons. The kid with the M203 is a nice touch don’t you think?
