‘Santa’ Saves Man from Burning Pickup — But That’s Not the Whole Story…

Incredible video caught one good Samaritan this past Tuesday pulling North Texas man out from his crashed pickup truck just before it was consumed by flames. After the rescue, the good Samaritan directed traffic around the accident until help came. What makes the rescue even more astounding is that the good Samaritan, Brad Luddeke, did it all this while wearing a Santa Claus costume on his way to deliver gifts to needy children. If that wasn’t incredible enough, WFAA reports on the heart warming coincidence, that some may call a sign of faith, behind the amazing video:
As WFAA reports, the rescuer Brad Luddeke, had lost his son Jordan in a car crash seven years earlier. The man he saved, Michael Walker, is father to Amber Walker who had been a close friend to Jordan.
“It was unbelievable. It was unreal. I think my son had a hand in it,” Luddeke told WFAA.
“Any time you think of him, you just want to smile, because he was genuinely an awesome person,” Amber said of Jordan.
“Honestly, it makes me feel like he’s still here… like he’s not gone,” Amber aid.

Posted on December 23, 2011 at 7:35amNow, here’s just one of the many miracles we get to see because we have been faithful in our prayers to and love for GOD. Don’t you know GOD loves to hear us say, “THANK YOU, FATHER!”? And, “Way to go, GOD!”? It pleases HIS great heart to show us HIS deep love for us each and every day.
BLAZE, how about starting a string of “EXPECT MIRACLES” for us through the next year at least? This story and the one about the young man coming out of a coma and the 59 year old woman making that hockey puck shot are good ways to start.
I agree that Brad Luddeke is a hero! GOD BLESS YOU, SIR.
MERRY CHRISTMAS, Blazers. GOD BLESS each and everyone of you!

Posted on December 23, 2011 at 5:17pmI think God gives us things like this to give us hope. The Christians of America need to ban together, show Obama we ARE the majority, and this is what we want our country to be like. Not trashed like it’s being done by the OWS that Obama, Reid, and Pelosi praise to high heavens. What worries me about this story is, there just may be some idiot atheist, liberal or otherwise nut that will sue this man for dressing as Santa, and tell his story about his belief in God. Our country is in a deep mess, and if we want God back on our side…we have got to do something besides ‘talk about it’.

Posted on December 23, 2011 at 6:52amI pray in some way that the rescue helps with the loss of his son. Seven years is nothing but I bet in some wonderful way, God gave him this oppertunity to not only help him but the victim and his family and Brad rose to the occasion. What a great Christmas for him and the man he saved. Really, giving of yourself is such a satisfying thing and what greater gift could a man give, than his life. In this case, he could have died trying to save this man but God gave us this miracle that they both live and fill the rest of us with joy. He truly is a Santa Clause in the best of the spirt of Christmas. To God go the glory. And to all….a very blessed and merry Christmas. And, please excuse my spelling….never was my strong suit!!

Posted on December 23, 2011 at 8:57amDo you remember the video of the Chinese woman, hit by a car and hundreds of people drove, rode bikes and even walked by her without paying her any attention.
Do you remember the woman in Queens N.Y. who was stabbed 47 times in the street while several people hung out their windows and watched and not a one called the police? Where was the moral mandate in these cases?
Just the fact that this man risked his life on a busy freeway to rescue a person, and risked the possibility of an explosion of the vehicle makes him a true hero. to later find out that the person he rescued was the father of his dead son’s best friend, well I do believe in devine providence.
The moral mandate is when a person breaks the mold of the conventional thought of “I didn’t want to get involved” and acts to do what it takes to save a life or lives. This is why you see Congressional Medal of Honor receiptents who do incredible acts on the battlefield in order to save the lives of fellow soldiers.
With the name of collapsitalism I gather you are a true socilaist. As a socialist, would you have acted or would you have followed the thought train which is collapsing most socialist countries – - – “It’s not my job, let the ones who are paid to rescue the injured do it”. The moral mandate says you should act. The same mandate also should be honored when people see their country going down the tubes – - Greece, Italy, Spain and Portugal. Will they give up their benefits to save their coun

Posted on December 23, 2011 at 11:36amI wish I could agree with you! Unfortunately in today’s society more people just drive by an accident or situations like the one described in the story! A lot of people just don’t want to get involved any more—the “me” society has taken over and don’t care what happens to others! I wish I was wrong, but I see it every day thanks to our entitled society we now are forced to live in! America is becoming more European then the real America most of us grew up with—I can only blame the “entitled society” that has been shoved down our throats!

Report Post »The Bible is clear on this that the dead have no contact with the living. I do believe that God had His hand in this and it does my heart good to have seen it.
The tragedy here is that all those involved have missed the point and that is that God rescued this man using his daughter’s dead friends dad. THAT IS A MIRACLE!
Praise God that there are people who will do the right things at the right time because God will reward you AFTER you have made the right move :)! As God did here with the meeting between the Santa guy and his little boy’s friend.

Posted on December 23, 2011 at 1:37amFavored93,
I believe there is a great crowd of witnesses and angels in the presence of the LORD. I, also, believe there are prayers in a bowl of incense brought before the LORD for answering. I, inaddition, believe we get to do tasks in Heaven. So, perhaps the will of GOD, while the son died in a crash..his father saved his friend’s father sparing her the tremendous pain the Santa dad has been suffering, and just maybe the son’s shout, angel, or old childhood prayer got answered.
GOD really isn’t going to get hurt sharing credit for saving a life with a son. Afterall, it was His Son, which saved us all, that HE, the Father, would be glorified.
Report Post »TomFerrari
Posted on December 23, 2011 at 5:30amActually, @FEMALE, I believe @FAVORED93 is correct…
I Peter 4:11 – “If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.”
We are to give all Glory to Heavenly Father, not take it for ourselves, or even our departed loved ones.
Also, in that scripture, we are told, “And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.” (I Peter 4:8) “Charity” = AGAPE = LOVE.

Posted on December 24, 2011 at 3:02amDear Favored93 and Tomferrari,
Great answers guys, as our country turns back towards God we can expect far greater works than this, and this is great news. I do understand why “sharing” the glory of God sounds good– it is not. You guys are right. Agape love is supreme so let all glory be given to our God. (God is Love) You can read about agape love and it’s attributes in 1Cor.13v4-7.
One thing though, in the old testament the living do contact the dead. (It’s an abomination: Deuteronomy 18)
1 Chronicles 10:13-14 – “Saul died because he was unfaithful to the Lord; he did not keep the word of the Lord and even consulted a medium for guidance, and did not inquire of the Lord. So the Lord put him to death and turned the kingdom over to David son of Jesse.”
God bless,
