Santorum Backer Makes MSNBC Anchor’s Jaw Drop With Bizarre Sex Joke

In the pantheon of awkward moments, Thursday’s exchange between Rick Santorum-backer Foster Friess and MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell just might take the cake…and then some.
(Related: Fox‘s Greta Van Susteren confronts Santorum over Friess’s remarks)
In speaking about contraception, Friess nostalgically reveled in a time when all that nonsense was “a lot easier.” To his recollection, women used to simply use aspirin — though, not in the conventional way:
Well, I get such a chuckle when these things come up. Here we have millions of our fellow Americans unemployed, we have jihadists camps being set up in Latin America which Rick has been warning about, and people seem to be so preoccupied with sex that I think it says something about our culture. We maybe need a massive therapy session so we can concentrate on what the real issues are.
Watch below and, like Mitchell did before, your jaw will likely drop too:
To get Eddie Scarry’s thoughts on the issue head over to The Blaze Blog.

I am not attacking Santorum but showing how this could hurt him. This is something Obama is going to use against him in the General if he gets nominee. All of the candidates have something and this isn’t even the worse thing for Santorum, but it will hurt.

Now what do you say about Santorum that he said he was a ‘Progressive Conservative’ and not a ‘Reagan Republican’? Which one is worse?
Even compare their two records, there are more progressive stances on Santorum‘s side than Romney’s.

I have always liked history and studied it, but I did not know much about Wilson, Teddy Roosevelt, etc. and the Progressive movement until the past couple of years. Surprise! Romney Donated to Democrats
Posted by Thomas Ferdousi at 4:27 PM
One of Mitt Romney’s most famous quotes comes from his 1994 race for Senate in Massachusetts. Whie debating Ted Kennedy, he openly stated that he did not want to return to “Reagan-Bush,” adding that he was an independent during that time. It’s also come out that he voted in the 1992 Democratic primary.
Now, Pundit Press has found that the former Massachusetts Governor not only voted in the Democratic primary, but also gave money to multiple candidates. By searching for Romney, it turns out that his donations helped three Democrats.

What on earth do you see in this shape shifter who’s only relation to conservatives is his empty rhetoric that does not match his record?

Lets go back, I did not say he was progressive. The quote is he had some progressive views. He did, abortions for one, he believed the government should stay out of that choice… that is a libertarian view as well. But now you just need to go to his record, he was a strong conservative in Massachusetts and fought for Conservative causes on the campaign trail. He was for term-limits and eliminating earmarks, tax cuts, balancing budgets, taking on the unions. He is the only candidate that runs on all principles of the Tea Party. The only principle that is questionable is person liberty, until you understand what he tried to do in Massachusetts. As governor he was trying to get away from the government health care system. Instead he created an exchange where people, even the poor had to buy private insurance. Instead of compensating the hospitals he would help the poor with subsidies to buy free-market, deregulated, private insurance. No more nanny state mentality of the govt will take care of you. Yes there was a mandate, his was ‘Pay for your own insurance, or pay your own bill. That is a great plan, you need to read what the Heritage Foundation wrote on it, they were the architects of it.
As was stated before there are many reasons for calling yourself progressive. C.S. Lewis called himself ‘progressive’ not for the same reason as Hillary Clinton called herself ‘Progressive’. The most important thing is their record. Ron Paul doesn’t have that
Report Post »TeaPartyForRomney
Posted on February 16, 2012 at 8:21pmThe only thing Ron Paul has every managed was his newsletters and you know how that went… HORRIBLY. He admitted it. He was for earmarks, against term limits, and was an insider (yes and insider). Those are the types of things the Tea Party stands for.

Yes and are many other conservatives… registered as independents. One because you are leaving the party or two because you want to vote in either primary. Rush Limbaugh is not the first person to come up with Operation Chaos, pushing Republicans to vote for Hillary Clinton to stop Obama. Romney voted a few times against Ted Kennedy. But look at his record, his dad was a Republican, he was in the Republican club in college, he worked with Republicans in Massachusetts. Things are not always so cut and dry.
Ted Kennedy and Romney were huge enemies, especially after the election and when there was not competition in the Republican Primary, he and many Republicans voted in the Democrat primary and supported them in ways that would try to eliminate Kennedy. You and I would have done the same, to get rid of Obama.

Now if he had said today maybe a girl who gets her first free condom she should hold it between her knees to insure against ******* warts or genital herpies or AIDS the reaction would have been the same. I remember there was a commercial where a young, attractive, female actress was hawking a herpies medication. She began the commercial with, ” Hi, I have genital Herpies and I’m not going to let that change how I live my life.” For the rest of her life is what she is talking about. I couldn’t disagree more. This is the problem the right has: why would it hurt Santorum more and not hurt Obama more? Obama is the one that‘s over reaching into the Church and it’s First Amendment right. Democrats call for hearings on this made up policy just to use it as a tool for the elections. Then the Democrats sit there and actually tell the Church Leaders of this country shame on them for appearing and that they don’t have a First Amendment right. Do people really understand what is going on here? Probably not and unless the right makes it known about what goes on behind closed doors with these hearings and the farce being conducted on the American people, the left will win on this topic even though Obama should be made to look like the bad guy he is.

Posted on February 17, 2012 at 3:24pmYes, I was going to say even 40 years ago that joke was going around. But curiously, back then we laughed, knew it was a JOKE!, didn’t get offended, and also realized it contained a truth: that abstinence WAS a logical way to avoid getting pregnant and/or STDs. Today, liberals think it’s ridiculous or maybe even outrageous to support abstinence, that abstinence is impossible these days. This shows that our culture has rejected the GOAL of abstinence, and is much the worse for it. Notice I said GOAL, meaning that it was something to at least respect and TRY to attain. Yes, even back in the stone age, people fell short of that goal, and had premarital sex. But, it’s a significant that back then there were NOT as many problems with out-of-wedlock births and STDs. Repeat: yes, those things did occur, but my point is that rates WERE lower. I see a relationship between cultural norms or beliefs, and behavior. It’s undeniable.

See, the big difference between you and I is… you want a proactive president to fix things, when that’s just not going to happen. Whereas, I just want a president to do his duties described in the Constitution while WE fix it ourselves. No more, no less. You’re like one of those silly liberals who thinks the federal government is actually compotent enough to do anything right. Every candidate’s platform, so far, is to push for more laws to fix the bad ones, except for Ron Paul who would push to simply get rid us of the bad laws. As for the FED; he’s been pushing for an audit for years. Finally, we get one to discover…? Yup, we’re being ripped off big time by unknown people. Are they even American? No sir. Last week my son saw a car pulled over on the side of the road and decided to stop to see if he could help. It was a young couple, a bit older than him. Apparently they had been on their way to the gas station to buy some cigarettes when they ran out of gas.
He told them he would give them a ride to the gas station and back to their car so they could get some gas. They told him they didn’t have any money for gas. He said “gas or cigarettes?”. They asked him to get the gas for them out of his own pocket. He left them on the side of the road, but sent a cop to go check them out.
“I can’t afford birth control, but a six pack of beer I can do.” this ‘can’t afford it’ crap is bunk.

Posted on February 17, 2012 at 9:34amYears ago, “the individuals” and not the “popular crowd” knew what these kinds of “frank” talks or words meant, that every action had consequences. The abortion issue took care of these “frank” words many of us girls heard when the horny boy would ask the girl if she loved him and then prove it in the back seat: “you can’t be alittle bit dead or alittle bit pregnant”. Many of us enjoyed Foxworthy’s humor because most of us grew up hearing these “blunt education lessons.” Now-a-days “the popular crowd” only listens to: Hi! I am from the government and I am here to help you! The individual will hold down 3 jobs (I did at one time and one job was to “swamp-out” a bar in the early morning before going to an 8 hr job and then on the weekends be a cashier. I didn‘t marry until my 30’s so I saved up money and bought my first used car at age 25 yrs old (still had my pedal-bike handy) and every 100 miles, had to put a quart of oil in to keep it running. The one saying “are you sure you want to do that?” was a measure for me growing up. Those words made a few of us stop and think and then the classic,“what the hell were you thinking”? LOL (many kids today are sissies)
