Santorum Takes Oklahoma, Tennessee in Super Tuesday Victories

Republican presidential contender Rick Santorum notched his first Super Tuesday victories in Oklahoma, and now Tennessee, Fox News projected.
National Journal adds:
It was an important symbolic victory over former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney for Santorum, whose campaign surged after victories in Colorado, Missouri and Minnesota on Feb. 8 but hadn’t won a state since then. Romney was projected the winner in Virginia, Vermont and Massachusetts, while former House Speaker Newt Gingrich was awarded his home state of Georgia.
The Sooner State is considered one of the reddest, more conservative than Tennessee, which was also one of the 10 states voting on Super Tuesday. Gingrich had hoped to prevail in Oklahoma to show strength in the South, but Santorum’s appeal to evangelicals helped him carry the day.
The former Pennsylvania senator has become a favorite among Evangelicals and social conservatives and won the Iowa caucuses in early January.

Posted on March 7, 2012 at 12:32pmMy passionate plea…
No one is perfect. Every single person on the blaze has different values, theologies, and ideals of what we would want in a President.
BUT LET ME GET ONE THING STRAIGHT… any of these 4 candidates would be better than Barack Obama and the minions he has appointed to serve with him.
Obama has absolutely no record to stand on! NONE! He knows it, and the MSM knows it. They know the only way they will win is if we conservatives self destruct.
The left is eagerly supplying ammunition to the conservatives to fight their own internal battle… and we are taking that ammunition hook line and sinker. We are using it to divide each other and destroy our remaining candidates… making our nominee less and less viable against Obama.
I understand that we don’t need to rally around one candidate yet, but the time will SOON come when we will, and whoever the nominee is, we MUST rally around as if our life depends on it… because our life does depend on it.
What can we do right now, before rallying behind the nominee? We can stop the bickering and name calling; we can stop the hateful, shameful, and demeaning rhetoric.
We can stop blindly accepting the ammunition that is fed from the left and we can stop using it against each other. We can have civil debates where reason, logic, and evidence are used to discuss our candidates.
If we lose this election, it is OUR own fault for not rallying together for liberty and conservatism.

I said nothing of Romney or the establishment. You inserted and assumed that yourself. I will support the nominee, whoever it is… because a vote for anyone else, or no vote at all, is a vote for Obama. And I’ll take any of them over Obama. Whether or not “The Establishment” is pushing for Romney is completely separate issue and “IF” that is the case, then yes, we need to try and address it, but now is not the time to make a statement against them when we have the most deadly assault on our liberty on the line.
There are a lot of things I want to change about politics and Washington, but all of that is a moot point until we get Obama and his minions out of Washington. That is the first and more important priority. Giving that away to make a statement (that no one will hear right now) will destroy the country.

O Please. gingrich would give Santorum most likely 95 percent of his vote. So you are a tid bit right if you want to count half pennies. The only way Romney gets any real support from the conservatives is if it becomes do or die. Posted on March 6, 2012 at 10:04pmSantorum is a sure loss to Obama. I’m not really sure what these people voting against Romney are thinking. Romney has the best chance to beat Obama in poll after poll after poll.
For those of you who are going to say that the polls are part of some conspiracy theory, remember that the pollsters are running a business… and that business is based solely on reputation – thus they will obviously try to be as accurate as possible – as history has shown.
For those of you who think Santorum can win… uh, when did the last social issues candidate get elected? Like it or not, Santorum has been turned into a social issues guy. The problem with Santorum is he doesn’t know how to present his point of view without ******* off most of the country. A leader MUST have tact.
Finally, for you Paul supporters – I know, I know, EVERY candidate that is not named “Dr. Paul” is the spawn of Satan and will lead the end of the world as we know it.
