Sarah Palin: Allen West ‘Should Be Considered Seriously for VP’

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin dodged a question of whether she would again accept the vice presidential slot on the GOP ticket in November, but did offer her own endorsement of who should be considered for the No. 2 spot: Florida Rep. Allen West.
“You know who I’d like to see considered for the VP slot is Colonel Allen West,” Palin said Saturday during an interview on Fox News. “In this very tumultuous time across our world, someone who has served in our military or at least has intimate knowledge of the way the military works and should work, perhaps by having a close family member serve, someone like that.”
She added, “Colonel Allen West, who’s been to the school of hard knocks, he should be the one who should be considered seriously for VP.”
Palin refused to say directly whether she would consider a second vice presidential bid.
“It’s not a no,” she said. “What I’m saying is, if I were in a GOP presidential candidate’s shoes, I would first look to Colonel Allen West.”
Despite her non-committal answer, Palin was quick to brush off the idea that she could be drafted into the presidential contest as the result of a brokered convention.
“I’m not going to be asked,” she said flatly. Still, she said the GOP shouldn’t have “anything to fear” from such a situation, saying it would merely be the continuation of a healthy competition.
Palin, who has not made any endorsement in the presidential race but has expressed concerns about Mitt Romney, said she would nevertheless not hesitate to campaign hard for Romney if he wins the nomination.
“Of course, anybody but Obama,” Palin said.

What bugs you about Sarah – is the fact that her family has been threaten to death, The Liberal media chewed and spit her out like a pit bull, or is it the fact that the Church she attends was burned down because of her VP Candidacy.
The Church I attend along with 18,000 others on Sunday was the 1st Church to start the Nationwide donation to rebuild Sarah Palin’s Church. Mission Accomplished!
We did it because we are not going to give in to any President, Administration, or Liberal Media that want to take God out of America. Sarah not running is understandable. Weather she is on the ticket or not, she has a huge Voice – that makes every Conservative Compassionate Christian stand up and applaud and it makes the Liberals and Satan Mad.
I’m glad, when Sarah speaks out, and I’m sure she has a few more announcements to make before the election – people listen! They even listen to everyone that is posting on this site and other sites, we have a voice and it is making a difference.
When Sarah enters the gates of Heaven – I believe God will say “Well Done you good and Faithful Servant – when you enter – he might talk little about your Bowling and then he may say – I don’t know You!

I’m a christian, conservative republican. I have almost (not quite) a half million in savings, owe 115K on my mortgage, and 2100 on a credit card that is not worth paying off as it is interest free as long as I have it paid off in the next 14 months…other than that I am debt free.
I have no need of “free” anything from Obama, the government, friends, relatives or YOU.
If you want to continue creaming your jeans over one big talking bag of hot air that won’t “put up or shut up”, then that is your problem.
My opinion is this…if they won’t throw their hat in the ring in spite of their reservations when WE (and our country) really NEED them, then I will be damned if I will support them when they decide it is FINALLY to their advantage to go for it.

If Ron Paul is going to tout his Military Service and call others “Chicken Hawks”… let the real Viet Nam Vets vet his Service Record and DD-214.
The title “Flight Surgeon” is a very misleading one in Ron Paul‘s case as it would make you think he’s performing surguries on Combat casualties and greatly aiding the war effort. The fact IS… Ron Paul was a REMF by choice… and in many Military circles… no better than the Chicken Hawk he ascribes to others.

The Hollywood – Ft Lauderdale area is growing by leaps and bounds and tourist visits are up, it needs another run to accommodate the growth. This isn’t wasteful spending. What is wasteful is a grant to see how gays reach sexual climax or to teach Chinese prostitutes to drink more responsibly. Yep to a tune of 2.6 million. Maybe this one is better: federal employees cost taxpayers 146 million each year upgrading their flights to business class

Posted on March 4, 2012 at 5:57pmWhile I have not researched the appropriation you are citing, I would like to inform the many who are unaware, of the “Airport and Airway Trust Gund” (or, “Aviation Trust Fund”) which truly is a lockbox, like social security should have been, and like all future retirement funding should be. It is funded by fuel taxes paid when fueling aircraft, and by airline ticket taxes. This fund annoys the living daylights out of the socialist, marxist, left-winger extremists like obama. There’s a lot of money sitting there, and they can’t touch it. The fund is solely for use in projects like the runway you mentioned. It is PREPAID.
This is why obama wanted to do so much “infrastructure” “improvement” to our transportation systems (obama TARPS). Each has a trust fund, and it would have let him waste hundreds of billions of money that is reserved for NEEDED improvements to those systems. They are not “rainy day” funds for a President to use for an economic crisis, not for his own political gain.
The fund is shrinking rapidly, due to reduced travel/passengers/tickets/flights.

The FEC doesn’t check donations, or you’re not required to report specifics on donations under $200.00. But you CAN show what you want in regards to these donations such as “occupation.”
Any number of Ron Paul geeks can get on the internet, with all their geeky buddies and send donations under $200.00 (without ANY connection to the Military) and write in anything they want as “occupation.” Give me a break. It’s been proven over and over again, that Ron Paul supporters have an enormous amount of time on their hands and will spend whatever it takes to make Ron Paul look good in any number of areas… to include the Military donation ruse.
