Sarah Palin Blasts GOP ‘Cannibals’ Using ‘Alinsky’ Tactics Against Gingrich

Sarah Palin Blasts GOP Cannibals Using Alinsky Tactics Against Gingrich

AP

The GOP establishment are “cannibals” using “tactics of the left” to take down Newt Gingrich, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin charged Friday.

The former House Speaker has come under fire from many prominent conservatives in recent weeks, including some questioning his credentials as a true Ronald Reagan conservative.

“I am in favor of contested primaries and healthy, pointed debate,” Palin wrote on her Facebook page. “They help focus candidates and the electorate. I have fought in tough and heated contested primaries myself. But what we have seen in Florida this week is beyond the pale.”

Palin has not endorsed a candidate for president, though has recently stepped up her defense of Gingrich.

Recalling her own time on the national stage four years ago, Palin said she is “sadly too familiar with these tactics.”

“The difference in 2008 was that I was largely unknown to the American public, so they had no way of differentiating between the lies and the truth,” Palin said. “All of it came at them at once as ‘facts’ about me. But Newt Gingrich is known to us – both the good and the bad.”

Palin went on to praise Gingrich, saying his relationship with Nancy Reagan and endorsement from son Michael Reagan — “no two greater keepers of the Reagan legacy” — should speak to Gingrich’s record as a conservative.

“What we saw with this ridiculous opposition dump on Newt was nothing short of Stalin-esque rewriting of history. It was Alinsky tactics at their worst,” she said.

Ultimately, Palin said, the clash isn’t between Gingrich and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney: It’s a fight between the Republican establishment and Tea Party and independent Americans who are “sick of the politics of personal destruction used now by both parties’ operatives.”

“Now, I respect Governor Romney and his success,” Palin said. “But there are serious concerns about his record and whether as a politician he consistently applied conservative principles and how this impacts the agenda moving forward. The questions need answers now. That is why this primary should not be rushed to an end. We need to vet this.”

Palin also went on to question whether the GOP establishment would use the same tactics they’re employing against Gingrich against Obama in the general election.

“They’re now using every available microscope and endoscope – along with rewriting history – in attempts to character assassinate anyone challenging their chosen one in their own party’s primary,” Palin said. “So, one must ask, who are they really running against?”

The VP Candidate has already been selected, I was told by a billionaire customer of mine two weeks back, that the Council On Foriegn Relations have already selected their own representitive for the GOP 2012 race. CFR member and “roundtable organizer” John Huntsman has been selected for VP and will drop out next week after NH. Sure enough he was right. So now we have to play the debate game, if the CFR endorses fellow member Newt, then who do the trilaterialists endorse? and how will their choice be sold to us, the american people?

Little do people know the CFR, which Newt and Soros are members, has a lot of pull with our domestic and foreign policies. The CFR was founded by leftist progressive bankers and Rockefeller. Newt was quoted in the beginning of the campaign that Romney was “the Rockefeller candidate”. I will hold my nose and vote for Romney, no way will I vote for a CFR member. I do like Santorum(the most conservative and consistent), but his chances are slim, sadly.

If Romney is the nominee, no way would he choose Hunstman as VP, for a number of reasons. But, as to Sarah, I nostalgically look back at how excited I was about her after she made he convention speech. Then, after listening to her babble for the past four years, I finally accepted the fact that she is a dim bulb. Intelligent conservatives, and not just the “establishment,” know that Newt is an unreliable dirtbag. Sure, he has great applause lines in front of an audience that already agrees with him. To everyone else, he comes across as an angry dirtbag.

This latest Palin stuff is just more of the populist — not conservative, but populist — claptrap that is her stock in trade.

Our total collapse in producing a candidate is as follows. Bush 1, Dole, Bush 2,(started out good because of 911 but ended up like Mass. liberals Kerry, Brown, and Romney) McCain and now the worst of the worst Willard (I saved the olympics) Romney.

Willard sounds like John Kerry “I was in Vietnam” when he says that “I saved the Olympics”

Newt has consistently played the emotion card, which is THE tactic of the left.

He plays on class envy, as evidenced by his continued attacks on Romney’s wealth.

He goes around implying that everything negative about him is “baloney” or “lies,” despite obvious evidence to the contrary.

He takes his own problems and projects them on others, such as declaring that others have CHARACTER issues! Newt! A serial adulterer!

He is a populist who says whatever he thinks the crowd he is currently in front of wants to hear.

      @paperpushermj,

“… Dr paul certainly has no claim to the handle of Conservative at all. Dr paul is a Libertarian …there is a big difference.”

I’m glad you brought this up, because not only is Ron Paul Conservative, but Libertarianism IS IN FACT part of being Conservative, as Ronald Reagan said, such that they are NOT significantly different.

      See here.

      Inside Ronald Reagan
      A Reason Interview
Manuel Klausner from the July 1975 issue
      http://reason.com/archives/1975/07/01/inside-ronald-reagan

“REAGAN: If you analyze it I believe the very heart and soul of conservatism is libertarianism.”

“The basis of conservatism is a desire for less government interference or less centralized authority or more individual freedom and this is a pretty general description also of what libertarianism is.

“Now, I can’t say that I will agree with all the things that the present group who call themselves Libertarians in the sense of a party say …”

“But again, I stand on my statement that I think that libertarianism and conservatism are travelling the same path.”

And here, where it is explained that the Republican Party USED to hold to Ron Paul’s foreign policy. It’s actually the Republican Party that has left Conservatism, rather than Ron Paul.

      See here.

Romney is not the conservative we need, no argument there, but I could hold my nose and vote for him a thousand times before I would ever vote for Newt. Newt is not only big govt., he’s MASSIVE, GIGANTIC, HUGE, internationalist progressive government. Newt is a lying liar who lies about everything depending on his audience at the time. He praises the worst presidents in our history – people who should have never be praised but instead jailed. He tries to say that they maybe did bad things but he praises them for the good they did. That’s like saying Hitler was great man because he spearheaded the Beatle. That anyone can say Wilson was great, along with both Roosevelts and Jackson, that he singles them out has the greatest, IS DISGUSTING. Newt is a brilliant man and a knowlegable historian, there is no way he doesn’t know what all 4 of them have done to this country. I’m appalled that so many conservatives, who lamented how the Democrats ignored all the obvious things about Obama as they were wowed by his pretty speeches, are now doing the EXACT SAME THING with Newt. Go ahead, make him the nominee. If you like Obama, you’re going to LOVE Newt. Count on it.

I may not be real fond of Newt’s immigration ideas, but compared to self-deportation, it is a little more realistic. Remember, Newt says he will have a completely fenced border by January 2014, and then start dealing with the problem. Ain’t no way we can deport everyone with the border open for starters, and the point of there being a difference between a visitor, resident, worker program, and citizen, gives the ability to identify people in the country, something self-deportation does not do.

There is no quick fix for this problem, but there are enough rules and laws on the book to enact those laws. If not mistaken, doesn’t the amnesty that Reagan passed have the completion of the fence in it already? Have to start somewhere because the current system does not do anything but argue about it being a problem.

Now consider how Newt has gotten so many votes for “taking on” and “talking tough” to debate moderators (members of the media). @RepubliCorp,

“Can your guy ever be president?” …
      “Wont happen…..”

Why not? Our Founders held his views.

      See here.

      Thomas Jefferson on Secession (1803)
      http://www.lewrockwell.com/blog/lewrw/archives/8508.html

“The future inhabitants of the Atlantic & Missipi [sic] States will be our sons. We leave them in distinct but bordering establishments. We think we see their happiness in their union, & we wish it. Events may prove it otherwise; and if they see their interest in separation, why should we take side with our Atlantic rather than our Missipi descendants? It is the elder and the younger son differing. God bless them both, & keep them in union, if it be for their good, but separate them, if it be better.”"

Whatever wrongs the South – as well as Lincoln, since he was a racist tyrant, himself – did to many black people at the time, Lincoln did not have the Constitutional authority to keep states in the Union.

I know there’s more to the article, and I’ll address them like I likely have done before, if you bring up specifics here in the comments; but give Ron Paul credit for this one, for now, ok?

He’s trying to get us back to the founding principles of local self-government, sound currency, and non-interventionism.

Huntsman would bring nothing to the table as VP. Normally, you want someone who will bring in some voters – geographically or ideologically. Or, you pull in the party runner-up to promote unity. Huntsman does none of this for a Romney ticket.

By the way, Palin shooting her mouth off makes me wonder whether she really wants to see Obama defeated. Or is she hoping to set herself up for ‘16?

The subtlety of U.S. mainstream media censorship is exposed in the action occurring, inconspicuously, to the left of this photo, in the face of the lovely white woman monitoring the voice of the long haired, faceless, androgynous, Undecided Conservative Republican Latin-American Voter. Note to any intelligent person patiently standing next in line to ask a question of the individual asking to be Commander in Chief of the most powerful military force in the “free world” in 2012: If your question is not in the form of praise for going to war in the Middle East with Iran, then don’t bother to follow the rules and ask politely to have your voice heard. It is amazing that sooo many people here who are good Patriots are making/regurgitating these cliche, set up, propaganda/PR, Bernays style arguments and not even relizing that they are being used by their own enemy. I include Glenn Beck in this. I am not defending Gingrich specifically here but the arguments made against him are those set up by the Progressive establishment who is trying to knock him down. Even those who support Paul are falling for this. As an example, the CFR argument was started and propogated by the progressive establishment and the Paulies fell for it. I am not saying that Gingrich is the best but he is the best to stop Romney in FL just as Paul is the best to stop Romney in VA and NV. The progressive left is fooling all of you and using you as tools. How does that feel? You are a tool of your enemy.

Palin became a part of the “big government establishment” she railed against. She “sold out”. Her endorsement of John McCain over the Tea Party candidate for senate said it all! The fact that so called “Tea Party” people are NOT backing the one TRUE Tea Party candidate, RON PAUL, is a disgrace. They all cried about restoring the country to our Founding Principles, yet the ONLY candidate that vows to do that and acually MAKE REAL CUTS IS RON PAUL. She is a HYPOCRIT. Sorry bud but Ron Paul is a FRAUD. As for Palin, I have been wondering why Gingrich hasn’t called out Mutt for his Alinsky tactics from the start in Iowa. Mutt can’t win a debate on ideas so he uses the liberal tactics of name calling and lies. He is a progressive in his own words and obviously has learned the liberal playbook well. OBummer will portray Mutt as part of the 1%, which he is, and use class envy warfare in the campaign to destroy Mutt.

      Washington’s Farewell Address

“The great rule of conduct for us in regard to foreign nations is in extending our commercial relations, to have with them as little political connection as possible. So far as we have already formed engagements, let them be fulfilled with perfect good faith. Here let us stop. Europe has a set of primary interests which to us have none; or a very remote relation. Hence she must be engaged in frequent controversies, the causes of which are essentially foreign to our concerns. Hence, therefore, it must be unwise in us to implicate ourselves by artificial ties in the ordinary vicissitudes of her politics, or the ordinary combinations and collisions of her friendships or enmities.”

Hey — I was there too. We should all “hang in there” – keep doing what we can……things usually as they seem and we don’t know everything. Plus unexpected things usually happen to change the course – whatever. It’s still early. We’re on the right track – also God is in control. I finally just came to the conclusion that we must pray that He will interevene however necessary and put in whoever it is He wants that will do the necessary stuff at this point. He‘s the only one who knows the future and people’s hearts. But I know one thing for sure — all of us must vote for whoever the nominee is. You can vote your “conscience” in your state election but then if the nominee is different — please vote for him. Your non-vote is a vote for Obama – if you are one of those that says he won’t vote — you don‘t understand what we’re up against – please check out: http://www.commieblaster.com
Also remember that even if we get a Progressive in, if we win both Houses, which I think is likely – they will keep him in check.

Cheer up! My understanding is that alot of Tea Party activists are living out what Beck said by looking locally for solutions not to Washington DC. Putting their energy and focus on local offices and state legislatures but also on the House & Senate. A more heavily TEA influenced Congress can be a major roadblock to Obama or hopefully a force steering a Republican President to govern as a conservative. Many of the Tea Partiers in Ohio believe it is necessary to beat the Republicans first before taking on the Democrats by that I mean primary challenges on local & State races.

Las Vegas billionaire Sheldon Adelson(who claims to be the richest Jew) and his wife donated
10 million to Newt’s campaign.and in the process strong-armed the Nevada Republican Party to allow Clark County to have a special after-sundown caucus for Jewish Republicans at the Adelson Educational Campus, a private school in Las Vegas founded by Adelson. The special Adelson caucus would reportedly accommodate some 500 conservative observant Jewish voters (remember Romney lost Iowa by only 8 votes!) who presumably would be observing religious traditions on Saturday. Gingrich, lacking organization and campaign efforts in the Silver State, is having his billionaire buddy try and buy an election for him. The rest of the general population is instructed to take part in caucuses Saturday morning starting in various locations from 9 a.m. to noon. Under Nevada caucus rules, there’s no absentee voting allowed; if voters are working or unable to attend because of business or personal issues, they can’t participate. But, if you’re rich in this state, you can buy anything, including a caucus Adelson has been under criminal investigation for a year by the Department of Justice and the Securities Exchange Commission for alleged bribery of foreign officials http://www.dailypaul.com/208974/we-need-help-in-nevada-now-please-write-letters-about-the-theft-of-our-caucus

If you don’t like them change them. He chose not to make that his fight at that time and kept his word to those people who had made that choice.

Look how she was/is treated. I do not think she is sticking up for him I take it as she is trying to make the selection process about the differences in policy or management style not personality. She was pointing out that Newt has some good qualities, which he does, and not to take what is said about each person as the truth. Take away the person let their actions, past and stated for the future speak for them and decide if you beleive them as well as decide if that is the direction you want the country to go. I do not blame her for her view of the GOP machine

I truly believe the reason Gingrich has people like Sarah defending him is the following:
1: there is a bloodlust in some parts of the conservative/tea party community to see Obama not just defeated, but having his butt kicked publicly by someone who can zing an zap him verbally to loud republican and hopefully enough swayable indies cheers in a debate and these folks see Newt as a Mike Tyson (debate wise).
2: There is also an unfortunate view in many of the same circles that this is in some ways entertainment, like the way my wife watches women fight and argue on those stupid Real Housewives shows. This view plays into the above.
Bottom line, Glenn has done more to expose the evils of progressives on the right and left in America than anyone else (incl Rush). The facts are clear by Newt’s own words. Three or four yrs ago we had an excuse to still vote for a Newt and still think we were truly small govt conservatives. Now anyone who has paid attention and done their homework has none. Unfortunately, I fear there may be too many who are willing to just toss all of the evidence aside to watch ” a WWE style steel cage death match between Obama an Newt. This will be like eatin a gallon of ice cream at once. It will feel good but you will regret it later.
Principles first. Try to be GW. This election is too important to ignore the warnings. It won’t fix everything, but it will be a start.

As Rick Perry said in the December ABC debate, “If you cheat on your wife, you’ll cheat on your business partner” – or, as president, the American people. America cannot risk electing Gingrich. NASA could certainly build a colony on the Moon. They know how to get there, and they know what to do when they land. Engineers have already designed the rockets, the spacecraft, the rovers, and inflatable habitats — all prepared after President George W. Bush proposed in 2004 to go back to the moon. That program was called Constellation. It lasted until President Obama took office.
An American moon base could provide America with enough Helium-3 to provide for all of country’s energy needs. Nations and private companies are racing to be the first to scout the moon for Helium 3, a rare gas which could make almost unlimited, clean fusion energy a reality. Some experts estimate there a millions of tons in lunar soil — and that a single Space-Shuttle load would power the entire United States for a year.
Both China and Russia have stated their nations’ interest in helium-3. The U.S. could accelerate its gains in space by setting aside a share of NASA’s budget as prize money for private space companies. The commercial and military applications that would come from establishing a moon base would make the project worthwhile, and China might if we don’t. The potential for monetary return is huge.

The potential for monetary return is huge. Think of the payback you’d see from space tourism, alone… then realize that every time a new resource is tapped, every time a new technology is developed, every time a new system is successfully demonstrated, it will be a boon for those who have contributed towards making Man’s presence on the Moon a reality.

Newt is bringing up and important economic and national security issue, just like Kennedy did. He said by the end of his second term – about 9 years from now. Romney would have fired Kennedy! Newt is a visionary and not a simpleton. He does not want to go back to the Articles of Confederation like Paul. He does not want the current progression from Marx to Lenin to Alinsky to BHO to succeed like planned. Newt is for people who have an open mind, for people who want someone with experience in doing what needs to be done and for those who want America to be a leader into the future.

@nanzofsc You’re welcome. I‘m tired of the ’go get em and knock them out of the race’ attitude that has been happening as of late. We all must look at each candidate and decide who lines up with our core values and principles. Not allow right wing conservatives to put the idea of someone they don’t like into the firing squad and not vet all candidates equally. They all have their flaws but the most important thing to do is find the ideal candidate for whom you agree with not let others decide.

And to that note, here is Mitt Romney on carbon cap.

@Hobbs57 It appears so. Romney and Gingrich have both been ‘for it before they were against it’. Now I have vetted Gingrich because a few months ago via someone from Twitter told me to not dismiss Gingrich’s baggage, so I didn’t. I looked into giving him the nod, although I believe he could beat Obama even now, he still doesn’t line up with my values. Only one that does that for me is Dr. Paul. Saying that, before I was putting my vote behind Dr. Paul only, I was all for Cain because of the media‘s character assassination he received only to find out he did send a ’friend‘ money for 13 years without his wife’s knowledge. Whatever truly happened between them really is anyone’s guess but certainly none of our business. He’s out.

As for quoting Soros, I was bringing up the fact that Wall Street would be no different with Obama or Romney from his opinion. Besides, Romney now receives the largest donations from Wall Street crowd. Do your own research on that. =) Yes some things I agree with Beck on and other things I don‘t and if I have a difference of opinion it’s because I think independently and feel at times it is bias reporting. Am I not allowed to think that way? Well maybe in your eyes I’m not allowed to but too bad, I do. Besides, Beck states in 2010 he knows the GOP is already giving Romney the nomination. It‘s not like he didn’t say that. I gave you the video proof. So in the end, yes I’m a Dr.Paul supporter and hope he get’s the nomination. Nice

GINGRICH: Well, I never believed in Al Gore’s fantasies and, in fact, if you look at the record, the day that Al Gore testified at the Energy and Commerce Committee in favor of cap and trade, I was the next witness and I testified against cap and trade. And in the Senate, I worked through American solutions to help beat the cap and trade bill. Cap and trade was an effort by the left to use the environment as an excuse to get total control over the American economy, centralizing a Washington bureaucracy. In the end it had nothing to do with the environment. It had everything to do with their desire to control our lives.

You call others illiterate, but how can anyone take you seriously with the moniker “13th Imam”. If you subscribe to the Islamist faith, I apologize. If you don’t, then you are mocking someone else’s faith. In any case, leading with a religious icon takes you out of the fairness discussion.

This isn‘t about Newt it’s all about Sarah. She did her not an endorsement endorsement for Newt after hubby supported newt few days prior. Sarah is sitting on sidelines trying to guide process to brokered convention where she plans to smile and state oh OK I’ll be your nominee. PUKE! I use to be one of her biggest fans as a former Alaskan but she has made so many tactically poor decisions I can’t support her for anything but Secy of Energy. Furthermore if you make a post of interest & facts without profanity on this FB article she deletes it. Sarah what happened to freedom of speech?

I totally agree she needs to pursue her career with reality TV shows. Everytime she’s on Fox I have to turn channel she uses same poll tested words in effort to paint herself as Reagan. The next great leader will use their own words with passion not flat quoting of such words.

Thanks Saul. Barry speaks the same way you do. Envy is a pathetic thing. Stealing is stealing what ever way you do it. Typical 47%er.
