Sarah Palin Gives Romney Tough Love: ‘I Do Not Respect’ His Debt Ceiling Stance

Sarah Palin isn’t happy with Mitt Romney when it comes to the debt debate, and she isn’t shy about giving the Republican frontrunner some tough love.

In an interview Tuesday with Sean Hannity, Palin criticized Romney for standing on the sidelines during the debt ceiling debate, jumping in only after the dust had settled. Palin still has a lot of respect for Romney (”bless his heart), but she told Hannity “I do not have respect for what he has done through this debt increase debate….he waited until it was a done deal.”

Hannity asked Palin if she was going to join the race herself, and she responded that she  was getting closer to a decision, but did not hint at the likelihood one way or another.

Still, Palin was willing to give straightforward advice for Romney and the other GOP candidates: “Get out there, tell the electorate what you really feel.”

She also applauded  Michelle Bachmann for standing up for her principles in the debt debate. Watch the interview below:

    Romney is ‘more of the same’ type of Republican who helped get us where the country is today (and that’s not good). We need to pick the best conservative candidate. Not sure who that is right now.

      Did you catch Hannity talking about Palin last night on his show? He had a woman who professionally fundraises for Republican campaigns. They started speculating on a “Palin run for POTUS”, when this professional fundraiser stated that it’s not going to happen, because Palin “hasn’t been talking to anyone in the industry who does fundraising”.

      Immediately, Hannity started shouting over the woman that Palin was “unpredictable”.

      Sounds like Palin is the Republican’s decoy for Liberals. They hate her so much, they‘ll focus all media attention on her while the Republican’s work on their real choice for the next election.

      Funny. I guess we’ll see how the Tea Party modifies this situation.

      Tea Partiers – pay attention to the primaries. Get involved. Don’t let the Republicans give us YET ANOTHER Republican Progressive as a candidate.

      Palin won’t give her stance about whether she is running, but she is critical that Romney is being cautious? Guess what Palin, Romney is not a media whore and is not going to burn us out with his presence like you did. He is patiently waiting for the right time to get in our faces. Good luck running, you spoiled your chances too soon.

      i agree about Romney being penultimate RINO,I don’t want to hear from anyone that claims to be conservative or Tea Partier complain about a primary candidate or current congressmen being too compromising or too liberal or a Rino,if they vote for Romney..he is the WORST of all the choices,and not just because his idea of good healthcare is the same as Obama’s,but because he does EVERYTHING for political expediency,changes stance on issues,like illegal immigration,like healthcare,like abortion…you never know where he really stands cuz his record PROVES he flip flops more than all the repub cand’s…I believe the only candidate,by his history,proven record,and voting record,Ron Paul is the only one who can look back at his voting record and prove to conservatives,see I really am the closest to Reagan on economics,closest to Huckabee on Fair Tax,and most likely to be able to pull sway across the aisle on social issues…if its the economy stupid,that matters most,Ron Paul is our only man..and for all you repubs out there that want to see real change,and a candidate that is reasonable enough in debates-& the most knowledgeable by far of all repub cand’s- to sway independents in an election,and actually beat Obama(remember Romney is Mormon,doesn’t matter to me,but you know how the media will push that and turn away dems/indep’s),then we only have one choice,the only rebup whose spoken out against Agenda 21,the U.N.,promises to audit Fed reserve,Ron Paul

      The trolls may be right, but anyone is better than Obama. Obama hasn’t an iota of patriotism. Sarah and Michelle are not only infinitely more patriotic than Obama will ever be. They are much stronger as well. Obama can’t handle criticism. He attacks the American people and calls them the enemy simply because they don’t believe in Socialism. How do Sarah and Michelle handle criticism? They simply call them out and defend the people over themselves. That is true governance. This shows us that they honestly care more about serving the people than themselves unlike Obama who behaves as though he hungers to be a dictator. Sarah and Michelle aren‘t phased by the leftists’ attacks at all. The stand firm to their ideals, are not arrogant, and are honest. I’m sure they do not think of leftist voters as enemies; they are misguided by indoctrination. Some are corrupted. They have character and integrity. Obama only has his ideology and arrogance and relies on the ignorance and corruption of his blocs.

      She’s our William Wallace, and we‘d better make sure we don’t pick another betraying RINO.

      “At the end of the debates lies a truth concealed by all the fluff: There was no compromise in this debate; one side prevailed, but it wasn’t the Tea Party. In a betrayal reminiscent of the movie Braveheart, when the Scottish nobility deserted the field, abandoning William Wallace to defeat, Republican leaders likewise abandoned the Tea Party, not for compromise, but in infamy by betrayal and surrender for the sake of their own hides.” –Mark America

I’d be a fool to support Romney, for example, merely because he sounds and looks presidential, while equivocating on every major issue. His core values shift with the political winds. Palin strikes me as someone who will follow through on her convictions, converting them into action. She will be determined and relenting and consistent. To comment on her voice shows a superficiality that may end up electing another RINO. Romney would be my choice if we were casting the part for a President In a made for TV movie.

      RON PAUL in 2012 and restore America to her former glory!!!!!

      I say Sarah would be the best person for the First leader of the Patriot Party’s National Commitee!!

      Its a perfect position for her and her talents. She is a wonderful organizer and has an incredible perspetive to play such an important role! We will need a person of her caliber to head up the PPNC!
      The symbol should be an American Eagle flying with the Constitution in its claws.

      The other possibility I see as a real alternative is, maybe, to become the VP running mate with Ron Paul.

      Unfortunatly, I do not think anyone can get these things past right now. Too many Dems and RINOs. However, if Mechele and Sarah would start pushing these things we would have a better chance. Maybe we could get some of these spineless male candidates to cowboy up.

    Palin was wrong on the debt deal. Both Rush and Beck came out against the deal and said that the Tea Party was being set up to take the blame for the continued economic collapse.

    Palin is a political celebrity not a leader. Sad. I had high hopes for her.

      Maybe you should know what you are talking about before you spout. Mitt was a Stake President, Bishop and served a two year voluntary missions when he was 19. Stake President is the equivalent of running an archdiocese. Everyone who knows him talks about what a nice, decent man he is. Anyone who has heard his wife speak about him knows the same. You may not like his stances on some issues but don’t start making up stuff.

      @ Poverty.Sucks- – My next door neighbors are Mormon. – Great – decent human beings – salt of the earth kind of people. If any of them, or the kids, when they got older got into politics. – even if by chance i didn’t agree with their politics, the true leg they COULD stand on and I’d never question them, is their righeousness and integrity. – Now i know i can‘t judge all Mormons by my neighbors’ example. — but every one I’ve come across are good people. -and hearing negative comments about Mormons, to me . . only makes the individual making those comments sound pretty ignorant.

      @ILROB,

      I hate to tell you this, but Romney is running as fast as he can AWAY from being a mormon. Go to his website. You’ll look long and hard to find any reference . If you go to the AboutMitt page where he gives his biography. He doesn’t say a word about going on a mission for the mormon church, he never mentions any role he ever played in the mormon church, he never mentions any leadership positions he had with the mormon church – doesn’t even mention he was married in the mormon temple. In fact, nowhere does his site even SAY that he is LDS.

      If I was mormon, I‘d really be unhappy with Romney for burying the fact he’s mormon. Again, don’t we need a leader who can stand up for what he believes? Who is not holding a finger in the wind? Who is not hiding his religious beliefs?

      @NealBeforeZodd,

      You made a generalization about mormons based on your neighbors? There are people who know many mormons and much about their faith. Look at the branch of the mormon church lead by Warren Jeffs. Mind control is a major component of many of the branches of the mormon church. Even the main branch of the mormon church – they can’t read certain books – books that might disagree with their mormon church beliefs. Scary? Integrity?

      @Hankscram, speaking of not knowing what you are talking about. Mitt is not distancing himself from his beliefs. He just isn’t running for Pastor-in-Chief. Your comments about mind control are laughable. The LDS church hasn’t ever told its members what books it can read. If you knew anything about them you would know how ignorant a statement that is. I love how you characterize the Fundamentalists as a branch of the LDS church. Nice try, they split off more than a hundred years ago and if a member of the mainstream LDS church tried taking a second wife they would be excommunicated immediately, As a former Bishop I should know. So knowing that you have either lied outright or seriously misrepresented the LDS church because you are too lazy to look up some simple facts not found on your anti-Mormon sites, how can you claim and any credibility at all?

      @ILROB,

      Yes, the LDS church splintered after Joseph Smith died. His son and Brigham Young were involved in different branches. Persons who had “witnessed” the golden plates went in various factions or simply left the mormon church. There are other impending groups leaving the Utah group – middle way mormons for example.
      You say you can read any book? Well, if you write a book criticizing the mormon church, you may be excommunicated. Many authors have been kicked out – many have been threatened with excommunication. BYU Professors have lost their jobs based on positions they took contrary to mormon church teaching. I‘d like to see you carrying around a copy of Grant Palmer’s “An Insiders View of Mormon Origins.” Tell me the mormon church and hierarchy wouldn’t lean hard against that? Of course, you’ll say the same thing about Grant Palmer all mormons say – just attack him personally rather than looking at his research. He was disfellowshipped for writing the book. I believe he is a Christian.

      Consider an institution that tells its mormon members what type of undergarments to wear and when – the “mini-burka.” That excommunicates members immediately that publicly state the prophet is wrong. And that has children standing up in the mormon church to “testify” that “I know this mormon church is the true church and the leader of the church is a true prophet. Same things FLDS does on that point. That type of behavior is mind control to me and othe
