Sarah Palin Impersonator Stuns Crowd at CPAC

Sarah Palin wasn’t supposed to make a showing at CPAC this weekend. But for a moment, some thought she did.
While former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney was getting ready to take the stage Friday morning, a woman resembling Palin strolled through the conference’s lobby, immediately drawing a crowd as people tried to decipher the woman’s identity:
Informed that it was not Palin, many of the gawkers shrugged and kept pushing forward with cameras and cellphones raised in the air just to glimpse the Alaskan doppleganger.
And from a distance, the impersonator did look the part – the hair, the glasses, the red suit.
Up close, though, was a different story.
She resembled Palin but when she opened her mouth the attempt at an accent came off as more Chicago than Wasilla.
“I’m here for CPAC,” said Patty [sic] Lyons*, the name of the would-be Tina Fey, according to a young YAF activist who was escorting her. “Plus I heard they had some good mooseburgers.”
