AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka deeply believes that Sarah Palin’s message “foments” violence. Not always.
And in case you missed it, here is Dave Roever’s prayer at 8/28:

I prefer Sarah with devilish horns and a devilish tail. Almost all boys think Sarah to have a devilish tail. All she needs is some devilish horns, which she does well hidden under her lovely hair.
I know this devilish side as being ornery, and I am about as devilish as a girl can be, just like Sarah.
Our darling Sarah would not be able to spit fire like she does if she did not have a bit of a devil in her.

Sarah Palin does not play with the cliquish mean girls, but she’s too pretty, smart and popular to label her a geek; therefore, they must absolutely haaaaaate her skinny little . . .

Many of our Vietnam vets wore lipstick. Many of those girls gave their lives for our America. Today, lipstick warriors are common place within our military. Sometimes our America forgets war is not just for boys. There is a need to give our lipstick warriors equal recognition, including those girls who gave their lives during the Revolutionary War and throughout history.
Military records of women who served in Vietnam and many other wars, are virtually non-existent. However, one of the greatest sacrifices a woman can make is to send her daughters or sons off to war, as did Sarah Palin and millions of other mothers.
Right now, out there in our world, both American girls and boys are fighting for our nation, as both genders have during the entire course of our America’s history.
Lipstick should not be used to draw a red line between heroines and heroes.

I adamantly disagree. Sarah’s heart is in the right place. Nothing more is needed to be a good president.
After the Tet Offensive, my husband returned to our rural Oklahoma farm, all shot up and near death. He became angry about this lack of decent treatment at a VA hospital, got himself up, borrowed some clothes and borrowed some money from war buddies, then got himself on a Greyhound headed for Oklahoma.
The day he surprised us and delighted us by stepping off that Greyhound onto our dusty dirt route out front, his shirt is bloody and he is near collapse and death. Nonetheless, he was bound determined to have himself back home and with his family. If not for our rural farm medicinal ways and a chahta attachi, a Choctaw healer, he would have died. Our lives would have been changed forever, and our girl would never have been born. All of our tiny community tended to him, nursed him, helped him to defeat Old Man Death.
Those wonderful people of our rural farming community, especially my Choctaw peoples who helped, I would vote any one of those people to be president because their hearts are in the right place.
A good president only needs to know this difference between right and wrong. This comes with having your heart in the right place. Along with sorting right from wrong, having your heart in the right place, along with those comes good common sense. Nothing else is needed to be a good president.
Sarah Palin enjoys all those qualities and more; she has significant executive experience. She is more than just a good woman, she is a great American who loves her country.
Lonnie Todd up the route does not have a high school diploma. Flossy Winship down the route, no schooling at all. My grandma could not read nor write. Grandpa could read and write but never attended school. All in our community were too busy working hard to survive to have time for schooling. Nonetheless, all made time, all sacrificed to help save my husband’s life while the VA did not care to do so. All know what is right, what is wrong, have good common sense and their hearts are in the right place.
English is not my native tongue, I do not have a high school diploma, but my first name is “Doctor” just as is our girl’s first name. We lead a good and productive life. We work hard, we are honest, we are charitable and we fiercely stand up for our home, America. This is only possible because the life of my husband and our girl’s father was saved by illiterate Okies whose hearts are in the right place.
Sarah is more than qualified to be our president. She knows right from wrong, she has extraordinarily good common sense, and her heart is in the right place. I could not ask for more of a president.

I love to hear Dems complain about whether or not Palin is qualified for national office when they have Obama, Biden, Frank, Dodd, Maxine Waters and others to be so proud of.
I don’t know if she is qualified or not. She appears to be someone who is an egomaniac like Obama and her principles seem to be in the right place.
When you really get to talking to any kind of Dem/liberal about her, you can quickly get to their real issue. Her Pro-life stance and her choice to keep a child who was expected to be handicapped even before it was born. They cannot defend partial birth abortion or even the logic behind Roe v. Wade, so they have to attack any messenger who may expose the weakness of the Pro-life argument.

We are better than that because we know that God has already won and we are are his beloved children. New Living Translation (©2007)
You can identify them by their fruit, that is, by the way they act. Can you pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?
To me it underscores the idea that we get more truth out of watching someone’s actions, especially when no one’s looking. (Quiet works.) Lies are words without action to back them up. Honor. Pass it on.

Posted on September 4, 2010 at 1:29pmMatthew 7:20 “Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.” This is the closest version in the bible you‘ll find to where Judd’s quote came from. He/she simply replaced fruits with works; however, as stated, our fruits are a direct product of our works. Thus, the Lord could just as easily have said, “by their works ye shall know the,” as Judd quoted, and meant the very same thing.
Report Post »o DEAN x
Posted on September 4, 2010 at 4:58pmI was just wondering. ‘Cause if you do a google search for that exact quote the #1 result isn’t good. And I looked in the Bible and the closest I found was Matthew 7:20 “Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.” And starting with Matthew 7:15 – 20 is talking about false prophets. So I wasn’t sure which one was meant. Also it is nice for others to reply to my question, but only Judd has the actual answer. I searched @ biblegateway.com in all of the english language Bilbes and none of them use the word “works” they all say “fruits” being the end result of the works but not the works themselves.I am one of those who believe words have meanings and if it says something in the Bible we should not change it. For example – “1 Corinthians 13:13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.KJV“ Most all of the other versions of the Bible have changed ”Charity“ into ”Love” which takes on a whole other meaning.

The word “charity” in the 1 Corinthians 13 scripture is interchangeable with “love.“ It comes from the Hebrew word ”agape” meaning: love, affection, benevolence. Love and charity were interchangeable ideas in the day. Imagine that! :-)

I am not a member of the tea party but it sounds like they just want smaller government. If they are educated at all, they would understand that Bush was not much better than Obama. Jesus did say to care for the poor but he didn’t say the government should force ppl to do it. Plus the government isn’t enabling the poor to get out of poverty, welfare and other social programs are giving the poor incentives to stay poor. Hmm, free money, healthcare, food, and housing. Posted on September 4, 2010 at 2:15pmWell said NEM, the main stream media has helped the ‘least’ electable Republican secure the nomination since Bush 1. Most of politics are a con and we are the marks. Until the newer avenues of Media arrived, they had far greater control in manipulating the populace. Now people, albeit slowly, are waking up. Anyone who thinks that Hillary in 08 or 12 would be “good” for America I think needs to wonder why Rohm Emmanuel, Lanny Davis, David Axelrod, Leon Panetta, and Hillary herself, among others, all have positions in or close to the White House. The only difference in a 2008 Clinton victory would have been the “speed” at which this country was taken Left, not the direction in which the country would have been taken. Further, MANY Republicans thought Bush 2 was an overspending Progressive himself. Sarah may or may not be the answer, but there are far too many people who think America should become a socialist utopia, if only they were in charge. Socialism has never worked long-term in any country it has been tried in. Lastly, for all those that dump all of this on Bush 2, and I am not a fan of GWB, Congress was controlled by Democrats since 2006. The liberals and arm chair politicians choose to conveniently forget that portion of history and the fact that CONGRESS writes the budgets, NOT the President.
