Sarah Palin: Not Too Late to Jump into Republican Race

Sarah Palin Talks About Entering Republican Presidential Race

JUNEAU, Alaska (The Blaze/AP) — Sarah Palin says it’s not too late for someone to jump into the Republican presidential race.

Asked by Fox Business Network’s “Follow the Money” about the likelihood that she’d become a candidate, the former Alaska governor and 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee said it’s not too late for “folks” to jump in.

Said Palin: “Who knows what will happen in the future.”

The full interview is scheduled for broadcast Monday night.

Palin told Fox News Channel over the weekend that she felt no enthusiasm for anyone in the current GOP field and that she needed to feel something before she would offer an endorsement.

Palin said in October that she wouldn’t seek the GOP nomination. She said she could be more effective helping others get elected.

The very idea that Sarah Palin or someone like her could become the most powerful person on earth appalls me to point that I think I might vomit. I think she’d make a good PTA president, or mayor of a small Alaskan town, and might survive for a year or two as Alaskan governor before quitting under the pressure of the office. But the leader of the free world.

What dismays me is that there are Americans who think Sarah Palin could be the next Reagan and might vote for her if she ran.

But, I have no worries. First, because she couldn’t win, not the nomination, not in a single state. Second because she’s not running. She‘s gone back to her coy suggestion that she might run in order to boost her asking price for speeches or whatever book she’s selling.

Nothing to see here folks. Move on.

I like Sarah. Her ability to communicate traditional conservative ideas in a way that is engaging, intelligent, and sincere was what brought life into the McCain race. I think she’d give everyone a real challenge in this election.

OF COURSE the media fangs will come out. They fear her – because she actually believes what she says. Tina Fey can gear up to make $$ doing more lame imitations for entertainment. So what? Do the opinions of circus clowns like Fey amount to a hill of beans? No. She and the likes of Baldwin can freak out and move to Canada for all I care. They contribute nothing to the peace and security of this nation.

Sarah if you‘re feelin’ it, the time is now. Obama and his cadre of Commie Czars have wounded America badly and do NOT fit into the narrative of Liberty that was written by the Founders. America needs well-spoken, bold leaders. And the Oval Office needs a challenger who can knock “O” out.

In the spirit of fairness, why not give us your opinion of say……..John Edwards.

You know, just to show you are not a total shill for the left.

I’ll start it off for you. Edwards is such a pathetic figure that the act of picking him for a running mate shows such a complete lack of judgement, that said act should automatically disqualify Kerry from holding any public office for the remainder of his life, and 10 years after that.

The fact that those two buffoons almost got elected is a sad commentary on the intelligence and awareness of just around 50% of the citizenry. Scary stuff.

I love her principles, her conviction, she lives the life she proclaims, which is very rare in the political atmosphere we live in. People of all sorts live to tear her apart since they can’t poke holes in her principles. She gave up her office to save the governments funds being raided by attorney fees. As she was under constant false accusations by liberals hell bent on destroying her image. From painting her as a religious zealot too an abusive animal hunter. When in reality she’s merely a woman of faith which would be strange to those on the left and rebalancing the herds of wolves is nothing new to those in Alaska. As they’re an aggressive breed that have no limits and have attacked humans as well as their herd dogs. Who they depend on to move during the hard winters But then again the left does not understand that either.

But what does the left understand they still feel Marx was right after all the proof otherwise

I trust Palin and Bachman. They are not players. The RNC would never allow them to move in the Old Boys turf.Ideally the ticket would be Palin and Newt. His devious know how would enhance her while she could keep him from doing something stupid.
Honestly, I think REpubs don’t want to win the White House.I watched McCain throw the election and that sinking feeling is on me again with this bunch seemingly sabotaging at every turn.Example: the super committee formed to isolate the Tea Party reps and now Boehner tries to cut them out of the payroll tax cut extension by dismissing them and leaving the Senate to do the dirty work. They really think we are so stupid. Sadly a lot of us are. Where is the Philosopher King?
It hurts my heart to realize we don’t count. That was confirmed for me when Europe was superficially aided by the world powers. They have each others backs. It signaled the end of borders and competition. We are already in a one world government.

      @Regarding Palin

She has no credibility. She quit the governorship, and I don’t care why as there is no reason short of getting terminal cancer to give up your obligation and promise to the people who elected you, and that threw her out of any future race as far as I’m concerned. Right now she’s trying to play the tease-spoiler, and I suspect she’ll be used only if a real anti-government nominee gets the nod (*cough cough Ron Paul cough cough*). Palin is a sweet speaking and cute STATIST who consistenly supports RINO’s. Thanks, but no thanks.

Of course Gingrich also cheated on a wife while she was being treated for cancer, but he‘s a Republican so I guess that’s different.

“Sarah Palin says it’s not too late for someone to jump into the Republican presidential race.”
Except that it almost is–I thought all the hub-ab-babloo was because Iowa (and maybe a number of other states) were doing their Republican primaries soon.

Whatev’s either way–last time she ran for President, sorry “vice President” (although McCain hasn’t died yet, to my defeat at the hands of another gambler), that went SO well…

…in fact, if I recall correctly, the campaign was going something like this–John McCain, and Barak Obama are neck-and-neck. Polls swing back and forth in eithers’ favor–media can‘t make up it’s mind who is going to win…then John McCain announces, to his ire, that his running mate will be Sarah Palin–landslide BARACK OBAMA!

PPP, the mainstream polls are crap, the only good ones are found on the web. I have worked for polls and I can tell you, they sway the questions to get the response they are looking for. At least on the web, everyone sees how the poll quuestions are given. The main stream media is not trustworthy anymore and I include Fox as high on that list. I used to be a Fox fan, and now I watch it no more to get my news, I get everything from researching myself on the internet. I don’t even go to Fox online except to research what they are doing. I do not take hardly anything they say as trustworthy anymore. They are killing their reputation. The people are waking up in droves. I see it all over the net. PPP are democrat run polls.
They have a terrible past track record when it comes to predicting GOP races.

In Iowa the people they poll cannot always vote because only registered republicans can vote in the republican primaries.

In their numbers, PPP includes democrats and “other” and weight them the same as registered republicans who will be able to vote.

He may be up according to some polls, but not all polls are created equal so don’t get too exited yet.

I understand the voice thing. I have the same instinctive reaction, but I overlook it because I see beyond it. But a lot of people riding on the fence will be turned off by her voice.

It’s a stupid thing, but it’s real. Women face a lot of extra hurdles and double standards as candidates. They can’t seem like a nag or a b!tch, but they can’t appear too feminine. They‘ll be judged on their looks if they’re too pretty or too ugly. And a high voice can be a real turn off. the problem is that when Sarah is excited in a crowd she raises her voice and her register goes up. When she is speaking calmly her voice is rather pleasant, rto me anyway.

Thatcher had a similar problem. She trained herself to lower her register and make her voice deeper and more “masculine”. It made her seem more in command. This may seem shallow, but elections turn on shallow things. Remember the Nixon/Kennedy debate. People who only listened on the radio thought Nixon won, but those who watched it on TV saw him sweat and look pasty because of the lights.

Sarah needs to work on a Thatcher voice, mellow out the accent and the colloquialisms. She needs to coaxe in the skittish independents.

So what? What’s your point with that? Do you realize what happened to Palin – not to mention her family? How she was lampooned? How even some who think they’re conservative bailed on her because the liberals made fun of her?

The liberals gave her power. They revealed what they fear the most.

I don’t blame her for trying to do what she can, and I don’t blame her for making money off of it. She’s not an elected official anymore, and she’s free to try to persuade her case in any way she can. She gets money because people believe in her. Market drives the price…. I’d hope you know that. There’s nothing wrong with her. I don’t have a problem with Clinton doing it either, or Obama, for that matter (after he’s out of office). The market drives the price.

That isn’t politics. She’s not an elected official at the moment. She doesn’t rail against capitalism, she rails against votes being bought and sold by lobbyists. Government officials (not private sector) taking bribes for and against votes – THAT is criminal. And commonplace.

And she stands against it. I, for one, encourage her run and pray for our country continually, that whether it be Palin, Bachmann, or whomever – that they be decent, honorable, principled and dedicated to liberty.

Actually my reply is more complicated than the economy of words I chose. Palin doesn’t have a record upon which to firmly stand. Her oil rich state did well while oil prices shot through the roof and she had the sense to cut spending on the state level, and she took the opportunity to quit while she was ahead. She is more cult of personality than experience and substance. I think she is a very important player in our political process, I give her a ton of credit for fueling the fight in the 2010 elections. I just don’t think she has what it takes to run the country.

The “silly” comment is a reflection on Republicans more than it is her. I have been reading and watching and paying attention and feel very strongly that the only reason Mitt Romney is not being championed by a greater majority of Republicans has nothing to do with his “conversion” to being 100 percent pro choice, or for RomneyCare which in its current form is nothing like the solution he originally envisioned, it has everything to do with his brand of Christianity. So strong is their opposition to his religious affiliation they are grasping at straws to find anyone other than Romney. And quite frankly, that makes us silly. If we are reduced to knee jerk reactions and such petty levels of thinking and religious bigotry, we will get what we deserve and that is four more years of a weasel that outsmarted the GOP while the economy was in the toilet and he had by all accounts no right to re-election.

yes, I feel that way too. Expecting a “Reagan” to suddenly appear is a fantasy. But what I truly find more sickening is how bold Obama thinks of himself & the fact that by his mere presence (Joe Cool), the country is better because of him. To me, Obama & his administration live in a complete fantasy land; and because of it things are completely upside down.

I do pray for an upset as we saw in 1980, where Carter was run out of town, but also fear 1992– where I was one of those fools who voted for Perot. That landed us Clinton for 8 years (which, by the way, Reaganomics was still quite in force throughout his administration).

Actually I am sick and tired of what WE will tollerate from this current group to select from.

Newt= 1990′s retread that plays the lines to good for his own self interest.
RP= 911 truther, wingnut that can make a decision with any conviction in any debate.
Huntsman- Harry ried gave him a huge campaign dontion day one. ( FAIL )
Santorum- Possabilities but dont get to see him enough to know.
Bachman- A timid Sarah Palain wanna be.
      Mitt – EPIC FAIL-

If she dont run I may vote for my garbage collectors name.

@propalin. None of the above candidates
you mentioned ever quit 2 years into a
4 year term. You want a quitter as president?
If she can’t take the heat as governor what
she gonna do as president. Whine that the
Chinese are being too mean to her?

It has been rumored that Jeb Bush might also .. this could really shake things up. Though they would need to get going it would seem … there are primaries in several states in January.

@CatB, wheeew, good to hear. I have heard his name bandied about as well. Honestly, if it weren’t for “W”, he would have been a great choice.

He was the Bush everybody expected
as president. GW was a surprise to everybody
including his father. Rush was reading
an article he wrote today extolling his
      virtues.

She couldn’t possibly be worse than the pathetic field of candidates that are currently running. Not that she excites me all that much either.

Id vote for Sarah simply because she is like a GIGANTIC middle finger to the Left.
The fact that they hate her with such a vengeance just tells me she’s better than
anyone currently running. Its alot like an exorcism…Sarah is the crucifix and the
progressive left are like Linda Blair.
