Sarah Palin Ridicules Obama and the Media at ‘Right Online’ Event in Las Vegas

Sarah Palin Headlines Right Online in Las Vegas | Lambasts Media, Obama, Permanent Political Class | Encourages Conservatives to Live Up to Breitbarts Legacy

Sarah Palin headlined Right Online in Las Vegas Friday, where she encouraged conservatives not to become co-opted by the permanent political class, while also ridiculing the media’s “vetting” of Barack Obama and its unstated implication that eating moose is somehow worse than eating dog.

Breitbart.com has a number of notable quotes from the speech, which included: “You showed D.C. what having a spine looks like. Or, as I said that day in Wisconsin, you showed them how to ‘fight like a girl.’”

In reference to Obama’s so-called “energy strategy,” Palin remarked:  “So as we‘re preaching ’drill, baby drill’ …he‘s preaching ’stop, baby stop’ …”

Palin cited a famous quote in the speech: “In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act,” and discussed the importance of “infiltrating and influencing” popular culture.

Palin remarked: “But say for the sake of argument that [the media] couldn’t afford to do the job.  They couldn‘t afford to send reporters to Chicago to research a candidate’s record because, say, they spent all their money in Wasilla…Why, at least, did they not read his autobiography?”

As the crowd enthusiastically clapped and people shout out, “Thank you!” Palin continued: “They’d have learned a whole lot!”

And not just about his cocaine usage, she asserted, but also about what he ate…”Fido,” she remarked with a face, referring to the fact that Obama admitted to eating dog as a child.

“I find it funny that the cocktail circuit/circus gives me a hard time for eating elk and moose but come on– anybody have a pet moose?  There’s a difference,” she said.

Spotted at the popular event, according to Politico, was a bumper sticker saying, “Don’t blame me!  I voted for Palin.”

Just as the crowd supported her, Palin encouraged the crowd: “Every citizen can be a reporter, can take on the powers that be.”  Citing Matt Drudge, she continued: “He proved that you didn’t need a Master’s degree from the Columbia School of Journalism.… You need integrity, and you need work ethic.”

      Tell me, if Obama passed a bill called America’s Clear and Equitable Share, conservatives would be screaming that the name itself is Socialistic. But Sarah Palin passes a bill called Alaska’s Clear and Equitable Share and people ignore it.
      I felt excited when she first ran for VP. But, I wasn’t paying deep attention to politics then. Then, I decided I needed to know what was happening in my own backyard. So, I listened to Alaskan conservative talk shows and was surprised to find that she wasn’t as conservatives as her words made her out to be. She talks the talk, she doesn’t walk the walk.

With a line up of Sarah, Cain, Rubio, Allan West, Newt, Backmann, Perry and others that are not afraid to talk about Obama record.

      Also, folks. …. If you believe constitutionally BHO is ineligible to be POTUS, then you must be against Rubio for the same reason. His father was not a citizen at the time of Marco’s birth. Yes, I was for him as well, but after wondering why the RNC was not going after BHO’s eligibility, it became clear, Republicans want to run two ineligible people ……. Rubio and Jindal …. In the case of Rubio, I know for a fact that both of his parents are NATURALIZED American citizens!!! The nationality of parentage is irrelevant and immaterial in both of those cases as the birth place of the person in question is the only matter here. And both are eligible for the highest office.       Senator Rubio writes passionately about how he came to our shores from Cuba at a tender age. But he has become an American hero, and maybe we could reintroduce an amendment to the Constitution to allow voluntary patriots like him and Arnold Schwarzenegger to lead our country to greatness.

      It’s better to go with Allen West as VP until the Constitution gets amended, though.

      DB, I think the real reason to watch the national convention and DVR it for that matter is the delegates may be unbound and able to vote their own conscience on the first round. The federal lawsuit filed this last Monday just may do that very thing, plus it may prove that the RNC committed federal crimes of voter/election fraud, by flipping votes with computerqzed voting machines. If the delegates are unbound, and can vote their conscience, you all better hope that the actual numbers of Paul supporters as delegates is not 1144 or more. I think that is possible.

      Rubio is my Senator and I supported him from the time he announced (went to see him at an event and thought he was “real”) he is turning into a BIG dissapointment .. I recieved this in an email last night from a friend

Mari Carmen Aponte was confirmed to be the Ambassador to El Salvador, and Andrew Hurwitz was confirmed to be a judge for the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, a federal position in which he will serve for life.

      Liberty Counsel Action sent a letter to Senators encouraging them to vote against Ms. Aponte because she is being investigated by the FBI for her alleged involvement with a Cuban spy and because she jeopardized the relationship between the U.S. and El Salvador.

      Despite this, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) encouraged his colleagues to join him in voting to confirm Ms. Aponte after what was reportedly a closed-door meeting with President Obama, in which Sen. Rubio agreed to garner support for Obama’s controversial nominee, Aponte, and in return, Obama would provide concessions on unrelated policies involving Nicaragua and Cuba.”

      Cat, funny you should bring this up… way back when Jan Brewer was trying to enforce the immigration law, Rubio’s immediate comment was disapproval and then did a quick about face. I have never felt that warm and fuzzy about him. My gut told me, that he wasn’t the real deal. Let‘s hope Mitt finds out who Rubio is before it’s too late. Thanks for the post….

      Good for you CatB. After Obama’s announcement giving illegal children work status, you know this really means ultimately legal status and all their families with them. A cheap ploy to get their votes. I heard Rubio was all in favor of this turn of events, as illegal as it is.
      Obviously, to hell with our children who can’t get a job and this makes it harder to find one.

      Please, contact the Romney camp and tell them he is NOT the best VP choice. For Romney to choose him is playing the same game Obama did to garner up the votes. Have we no shame?

      Given a choice, would you watch a political convention that had, Palin, Haley, Bachmann, Malkin, Bailey-Hutchinson, or one that featured Pelosi, Boxer, Feinstein, Wasserman-Schultz, Waters, Jackson-Lee. Which would you watch.

    I think Sarah is the reason that Axlegrease has proposed, for Barry, to “fix” the 1st amendment to our Constitution. It’s hard to get all those lie to stick, when people like Sarah are still allowed to shoot them down, with a little truth.
    Look for Barry’s next usurping our laws, by writing his own 1st amendment, where only approved may speak, and then only after their words are first approved by the messiah.

      Same here. I left 4 years ago because I realized that the party didn’t wanted to win, didn’t wanted to fight. All they wanted was my donations. I was actually offered “a chance” to comeback……… Like it was a private club or something.       You can have her! I don’t want her! She was the second most liberal governor we’ve ever had. The only good thing she did was bring attention to Alaska. Other than that, she passed two of the most liberal bills ever passed in Alaska, ACES (Alaska’s Clear and Equitable Share), a tax bill on oil companies, and AGIA (Alaska Gas Inducement Act), regulations on the building of a gas pipeline. As she was running for VP, she told the American people that Alaska was currently building a gas pipeline. I remember my dad getting a weird look on his face. He told me we were no where near builing a pipeline and four years later we still aren’t close to it. Parnell, our current governor, is trying to get rid of these horrible bills.
      So, you guys can have her. I don’t want that woman back . She screwed us! Why do you think a RINO like McCain chose her!

    The true way out is not just the throw the bums out thing. Isn’t it about time we Americans tell these Politicians what we want and expect from them. We constantly listen as they tell us what we need done. How about we tell them and make them do what we want for a change.
    We do have term limits. They are called Elections. Term Limits would have no impact if the one replacing is voted in with the same mentallity as the one leaving. See NY and California as examples.
    What this Country needs is a more informed Voter, not more informed Politicians.

    Everyone I know said it was Sarah, not John, that they voted for.

    John McCain owes America a huge apology. He didn’t even try to beat Obama.
    Sarah did all the great campaigning, and John constantly tore down all her good work by bragging on Obama every chance he could get. In my eyes, that makes him a traitor.

    I now question his role when he was a POW. Was he actually a prisoner or was he working to help the enemy? I can’t even stand the sight of John McCain or the sound of his voice. I turn the channel when he comes on.
    McCain is no hero. He makes me want to puke. He’s the reason we now have the Anti-Christ in the White House.

      And as much as I despise BO, I think that he had to win to wake many Americans up about the insidious erosion of our liberty and God given rights by our elected government.

      And I also believe that if McCain had won, it would have been a similar path to BO’s but at a slower pace. And he would have taken Sarah down in the process just by association and proximity.

      The left fears her and for good reason. She’s unafraid and takes the libs on- they don‘t know what to make of her as their usual MO hasn’t/doesn’t work on her. Love it!

      Random observations/thoughts:
      SP is the real deal. I wish she would form a third party; she‘s way too good for the R’s.

      John McCain was a Patriot in the extreme during Viet Nam and his actions as a warrior and as a POW are way beyond question. His actions since then, as politician, should definitely be questioned.

      The reason we have President Obama in the WH is because many, like I perceive you might have, voted for McCain instead of a real conservative. McCain has been what he is for his entire political career. Don’t blame him that you and your brethren continue to buy into the “if you don’t vote for the XYZ (McCain/Romney) candidate, then you are really voting for the ABC (Obama) candidate”.

      We are getting ready to make that exact same mistake again. It’s the lack of guts and discernment in the voters that is the problem. There are great alternate candidates out there. There aren’t enough of us with the guts to vote for them. So we’ll end up with the same old/same old which ever of them we elect this time around.
