LOS ANGELES (AP) — Sarah Palin may be outspoken, but she kept her opinions to herself on “Dancing With the Stars.”
The former vice-presidential candidate was in the ABC ballroom Monday to cheer on her daughter, whom she called “Bristol the pistol.”
Palin had only good things to say about her daughter‘s competitors and the show’s three judges when interviewed briefly by show host Tom Bergeron.
Palin praised the “courage, joy and exuberance” of the dancers and kept mum about the judges, saying, “It’s like a hockey game. You’re not going to chew out the refs before your team is up.”
Bristol Palin was to perform later in the two-hour episode.
Editor’s note: At one point during the broadcast booing could be heard in the audience. This quickly led to speculation that they may have been booing Sarah Palin.
Here’s how the Daily Mail covers it:
Sarah Palin appeared to be booed as she went on live television to support her daughter on Dancing With The Stars.
The controversial politician was in the audience for the second week of the US competition as Bristol took on the quick step.
But just before she was interviewed, as dancer Derek Hough and actress Jennifer Grey received their marks from the judges, there was booing from the crowd.
‘There’s booing in the ballroom… I don’t know why,’ said hostess Brooke Burke, while Grey asked, ‘Why is there booing?’
The show then cut to host Tom Bergeron sat next to Palin – who had a stunned look on her face – and her youngest daughter, Piper.
But there may have been another reason:
Broadcaster ABC claimed the protest was over Grey and Hough’s scores from the judges.

Report Post »It is VERY rare for a Audience to boo in unison for a personality, without provocation, it is typically in reaction to some factor in the event they are attending. And if you are not sure, don’t allow your personal feelings to cloud your objectivity. I’m no fan of Palin, but I’m not going to demonize her at every chance…

Didn’t used to be that way, but after Palin did a cameo & then a guest spot on Leno his fans started liking her. Lenos ratings show that his Largest viewing audience in two+ years was when Palin guested. The same for Oprah. Think about it. Oprahs’ largest viewing audience in over two years was due to Plain being on the show. Oprah has NOT had as large an audience since Palins’ appearance either.
Sarah told Letterman, “No thanks, after the way you have attacked my family, I don’t want to be on your show & cause your ratings to skyrocket” Sorry Dave.

Posted on September 28, 2010 at 8:06amInteresting that they would refer to Palin as a “controversial” politician! Since WHEN is standing up for limited, Constitutional government so CONTROVERSIAL, especially in an age of staggeringly huge debt? Odd, too, that they still refer to her as a “politician” despite that she no longer holds any elected office! Wouldn’t it be more honest to refer to her as an “activist” or “conservative”?

Posted on September 28, 2010 at 9:22amthis is just a pet peeve of mine, but why in the world does anyone use the expression “on a daily basis”?
it seems like a lame way to try to add some level of import to what the speaker is saying, when in reality it is simply redundant. superfluous. unnecessary. why not just say, “I eat breakfast daily” or “I eat breakfast everyday” or “I eat breakfast each day”.
Do you really think “I eat breakfast on a daily basis” sounds better? Does it give the connotation of a higher level of regimentation? Whenever i hear someone use “on a daily basis” in their speech, my brain instantly recategorizes the conversation from “possibly important” to “probably not important”.
Often, less is more (although you wouldn’t be able to tell that from this post)

Posted on September 28, 2010 at 8:21amIt is extremely undignified, not to mention inaccurate, to refer to Sarah Palin as a moron or imbecile. These are out-moded terms used to define various levels of mental retardation, and carry a very negative connotation; it is analagous to referring to a mentally handicapped child as a ******. It would be more fair to refer to Ms. Palin as “intellectually impaired”. Psychiatrists are currently debating whether to include RWMiMi (right wing media induced mental impairment) under their diagnostic criteria for treatment, a recently recognized syndrome found to occur in otherwise normal adults who limit their news intake to Fox and Andrew Breitbart. The debate currently is being influenced predominantly by public health officials who maintain that treatment of this well recognized syndrome could bankrupt the entire healthcare systems in 2 weeks due to its widespread occurence among white people who resent having a black man for president. Treatment for the syndrome often is a simple as having the afflicted individual attend a week of two of kindergarten classes, where he or she learns to be nice to others, followed by a 4th or 5th grade level introduction to newspapers. Clare N Lucid, PhD, MD, current chair of the American Psychiatric Association’s RWMiMi committee had this to say. “One of the most disturbing features of this syndrome is the almost universal compulsion to try to disseminate misinformation to others, often those of borderline intelligence to begin with. This appears to be the primary source of the negative reaction to Ms. Palin on DWTS. Either that or the fact that she is dumb as a bag of hammers.”

Posted on September 28, 2010 at 8:31amIn review of the tapes of the show, it does indeed appear the audience was booing Sarah Palin, even though they did not boo her when she was introduced. However, if one reviews the tapes very carefully, it appears the reason Mrs Palin was not booed during her introduction is simple: most of the audience was overcome with uncontrolled vomiting, some of it projectile. If the tape is played slowly backwards, the sound of wretching can be clearly heard between the words “controversial” and “politician”. The rest of those sounds seem to have been edited out.

Posted on September 28, 2010 at 12:07pmAs an Independent voter, how does flat out lying about Palin help your cause? As an Independent voter, I do not take the words that people say as truth and take it to heart. I research. Some of the things people post that I have researched and found to be a flat out lie:
Palin said “I can see Russia from my house.” Lie. What Palin said was there are places in Alaska where you can actually see the Russian coastline, which is true. The lie quote came from the now famous skits performed on SNL by Tina Fey.
Glenn Beck uses Vapor Rub to manufacture tears. Lie. Well kind of. The You Tube video that people like to post as back up for this claim is actually a video of a photo shoot for media where he manufactured tears for photos. I couldn’t cry on demand either and would have to use the “vapor rub” trick myself if called upon.
I mean really? Are you guys that intellectually dishonest? Do you cheat at solitaire and claim you’ve won too? Maybe you out to rethink your actions. If your actions are to play “I know you are but what am I” games with conservatives, then what’s the point? Nobody wins or loses anything. Maybe you should consider that in order for either side to win, you must recruit the independent voter and you cannot do that with lies, half-truths and general reindeer games.

She also knows “Ya can’t fix stupid.” There is no reason to bang ones head against a brick wall. She has more important things to do with her time….like supporting her daughter, and making groundbreaking news that drive the liberals crazy. They are ALL scared to death of her because she has such a following. But the reason she has a following is because “she doesn’t care who gets the credit”. She also knows what the liberal left and progressives have yet to learn, and will probably never learn…that he/she who would be greatest among us must humble himself/heself to the become the lowest. He/She who would be King/Queen, must first be the servant.. That is done through an individual humble heart…not through government,
On another note…the liberal claptrap is easy to spot…just look for the hate speach, and liberal (progressive) buzz words, and don’t give them ammunition to throw back at you. They are totally vacant of ideas.
