‘Satanic Sacrifice’: South African Teen Dies After Being Set Ablaze During Alleged Ritual

Kirsty Theologo Dies After Sustaining Burns in Suspected Satanic Ritual

Police say an 18-year-old woman set ablaze in a suspected satanic ritual has died.

The teen, Kirsty Theologo, perished just one week after authorities suspect that her friends covered her in gasoline and burned her alive.

Court records say that Theologo and a 16-year-old friend were among eight young people who went behind some rocks at a suburban swimming pool a week ago. Theologo was apparently tied up, doused in gasoline and a match was thrown at her. Some say she was intended to serve as a bizarre “satanic sacrifice.”

After sustaining third and fourth degree burns, Theologo was in a coma, but the burns, which affected her body from the waist up, also severely impacted her lungs. In the end, her body could not sustain the injuries.

Her 16-year-old friend, identified as “Bronwyn,” threw herself on Theologo to try and put out the flames. As a result, Bronwyn suffered burns to her body as well. Unlike Theologo, though, she will survive her wounds.

According to the Telegraph, one boy cut a third girl’s hand and then held it over a Bible so that the blood would soak the Holy book. This detail apparently comes from one of the girls who was with the group.

Kirsty Theologo Dies After Sustaining Burns in Suspected Satanic RitualFour suspects — all men —  are now in custody. According to iOL News, “Lindon Wagner, 21, and Robin Harwood,18, were arrested on Sunday and Lester Evan Nathaniel Moody and Jeremy King, both 18, were arrested on Monday.” iOL continues:

On Tuesday, the four men appeared briefly in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court to answer to two charges of attempted murder, and one for burn wounds that Kirsty’s 16-year-old friend, known only as Bronwyn, suffered. [...]

Spokeswoman Lorraine Van Emerik said one of the charges against four young men accused in the case will be changed from attempted murder to murder. At this point, the satanic allegations have not yet been substantiated, but police are exploring the incident.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.

Pastor Hagee believes in Satan and Satanic rituals. He knows they are real.

If he burned some people, you can bet they would have the mark of the Beast on them and it would be justified. Like Glenn says, evil is among us and we have to stick together, lock arms and fight it.

    Gas, matches, whatever it takes.

You are totally whacked. You are supporting these animals who would douse a girl with gasoline while dancing and light her on fire. Glenn, Haggee and all decent people have NEVER advocated evil or violence, but love and courage. How on earth you can choose to draw a parallel between these two polar opposite views? They are diametrically opposed. Your ability to reason (if you ever had any) is blinded by unjustified hatred.

Magical thinking is the problem. It does not matter if it is Jesus or Satan it is in the mind of the person or persons and not based in reality. No one gains power from god or satan because they do not exist. We need to wake up from the deep sleep we are in and face the truth.

Eph 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

The fight against evil is a spiritual battle waged with spiritual weapons. I’d bet that no one ever contended for the souls of these young men.

But I am sure Haggee never said to kill possessed people.. That would only be in self defense if someone was trying to harm you or the police were called I have never known of a pastor to suggest such a thing. Satan and his minions will be dealt with in the end…and we won’t be the ones dealing with them..That is up to the almighty God and His Son Jesus. Besides, God saw King Saul sparing the life of the best livestock, valuables and even that of the enemy king after God told him to destroy everyone and everything in the fire. Did you happen to notice that this was a satanic ritual, not a Christian ritual? I used to live outside the satanic capital of the world in Colorado. These rituals are real and should not be condoned or messed with in any way, shape or form. Whether you believe or not, these things are evil. Kids, leave it alone, it’s not fun and games. People get hurt! (really, in the movies, it’s special effects!) Read what Mike Warnke has to say about satanic rituals. He was a satanic priest that used to conduct these things before he was saved by Jesus Christ. It’s not pretty!

The odd thing about Satanism is that many historians believe it was started by the church during the inquisition as a way to brand people as heretics or generally being against God.

Then these ‘Nut-balls’ take some stupid ritual and run with it.

Oh I don’t know, I think priests charging people money and wine in order for a priest to offer them forgiveness is a satanic thing, and there were many similar type things going on shortly before and during the inquisition and even after. I don’t think they had to invent Satan. Satan wants to live. If you knew the scriptures, you would even know that Satan stood up in Jesus when the time came for his capture seemingly offering him a way out of his own crucifixion. But he didn’t take it.

They invented Satanism not Satan. The whole ‘worshiping’ Satan thing is believed to have been created by the church. Think about this; During the inquisition, would people have openly admitted to worshiping the Devil? I think not. If you research Satanism, it’s generally referred to as the opposite of Christianity; Not the opposite of God. Further, it really didn’t take hold until the 1960s anyway.

Satanism is sacrificing anything else for gain other than yourself or your own wants. Case in point those little brats sacrificed the girl for their own perceived gain – Satanism. Another example is parents who sacrifice their child’s spirit causing them to want, because the parent has to have 3 TV’s, in other-words a certain lifestyle, which causes the child to think life starts at 3 TV’s. Those parents have sacrificed their child’s spirit for a certain lifestyle – Satanism.

All I was saying was, “It is believed that the Catholic Church (of which I’m a member) started saying people worshiped Satan to discredit them and brand them a heretic.” I agree that Satan has been around since near the beginning whereas, the WORSHIP of Satan, i.e., “Satanism”, was something conjured up by the church. Look at their symbols, upside-down cross/crucifix, etc.

      @ISAIAH

One does wonder. The irony is the poor victims name: Theo-logo

      Theos – “God” in Greek
      logos – “Word” in Greek

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word (logos), and the Word was with God (Theos), and the Word was God.
John 1:14 And the Word (logos) was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
John 1:16-17 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

Yet through the absolute evil, there was one act of incredible love:

“Her 16-year-old friend, identified as “Bronwyn,” threw herself on Theologo to try and put out the flames.“ She threw herself on the ”Word of God“ or ”God’s Word”

John 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

If the Spirit of God were upon you, you would understand why He changed Abram’s name to Abraham (father of a multitude) & Jacob’s name (supplanter) to Israel (struggles w/ God) and why Saul took the name Paulos (small).

For all things will ultimately glorify God (even the acts of the evil & ignorant):

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose…He that spared not his own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifies. Who is he that condemns? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God… Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter… For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Rom 8:28-39
For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.

Satan employs different strategies in different places. In most of the Western world his strategy seems to be convincing people he doesn’t exist. (Reminds me of the Screwtape Letters. It’s a good read.)

In some places he comes right out and exploits people’s own sinful nature to commit horrid atrocities. The LRA in Uganda is one example of this. (No, I’m not saying we should go out there without congressional approval – that’s an entirely different issue) The media work hard to omit the details of the atrocities hoping that you won’t notice the blatant satanic overtones. When you say it‘s satanic they laugh in your face and say you’re superstitious, but you can find interviews with locals who have no doubt of who or what is behind the LRA. There’s human sinfulness which knows almost no bounds, and then there‘s stuff that’s so horrid that it’s hard to believe a human could even conceive of it.

God, have mercy on us. This was someone’s little girl.

@jason These “satanic” rituals are rampant among tribal peoples? really? I do not know of this. Please site evidence for that…. and evidence that if primitive peoples are doing these type of things, they call it something akin to satanism, and then show me these peoples never crossed paths with missionaries or crusaders in history. I know there are primitive tribes who may have themes of fear and horror like in christianity but i guess that means christian concepts like demons, and devils are on par with “primitive.“ Christianity severely distorted the ”character” satan from torah. In doing so christianity created “satanism.” Thanks for that. Naturally anytime you produce humanoid figures that resemble menacing animals merged you get what is called “scary” images. Any human from any primitive tribe can imagine the same stuff. Thanks to christianity we have a great wealth of cgi horror movies based on christian satanic imagery stuffed into the minds of people through art. You want to make a scary person? Make them look like a snake or the head of a goat with the mouth of pirahna. Then teach your kids it’s real, and tie it into your religion, and convince them it’s all true.

Whoever does not see that satan exists, would also come to a standstill and fall backward from receiving revelation from the Bible, both Old Testament and New. Revelation that only the Holy Spirit can provide. It also makes it harder to resist evil and receive from God when they do not know who or what their enemy is.

The physical realm is predicated on the spiritual realm. That which is seen is made from that which is not seen. There is no such thing as coincidence. There is no such thing as “luck”. Where there is no light there is darkness. Hollywood’s and the worlds perception of this is warped when they do not walk in the Light. The entrance of the Gods Word brings Light.

I’m all for swift and proportionate justice, but repaying evil for evil is not a good idea. Remember the Iranian lady who had her face destroyed by acid? Sharia decided that she could pour acid on her assailant as a just punishment. Not a good idea. She showed profound grace by deciding not to go through with it at the last minute.

Death penalty for these guys? If I was on the jury I’d solemnly and vote for it, taking my decision very seriously. “But if you have done evil, be afraid, for he does not wear the sword for nothing, for he is the Minister of God.” (Romans 13:4) Cruel punishment, though? No. That’s not justice.
