Saturday Night Live Takes On Rick Perry’s Odd Behavior at NH Speech

Rick Perry Drunk on Saturday Night Live?

Republican presidential candidate Texas Gov. Rick Perry made an appearance on this week’s Saturday Night Live weekend update, to clear up an odd speech he made in New Hampshire last week:

If you weren’t sure, that in fact was not Gov. Perry but SNL’s Bill Hader. The speech SNL poked fun at was made last Friday in Manchester, New Hampshire. When video of Perry’s behavior went viral, many critics speculated that the presidential candidate had been inebriated at the Cornerstone Action’s Annual Fundraising Dinner.

Perry defended himself last Tuesday, dismissing claims that he had spoke drunk on the campaign trail.

“This was a great crowd, good response, and I guess you can do anything you want with a video and make it look any way you want, but it felt good, felt great,” Perry explained. “I felt the message got across very well.”

Oh, come on guys. I’m a conservative and I got a kick out of this. You all need to loosen up. Getting all up in arms over a silly comedy isn’t going to stop this nation from going to hell in a handbasket.

Free speech is great if you are a drug riddled rapper or a delusional black theology preacher or a new black panther or a union leader or some other communist or socialist or an OWS zealot but the minute you try to have a little fun and be human and you are conservative… Pow! Life is denied to you.

It had to be a SNL bit. Had to be. If SNL didn’t do a bit mocking that strange behavior by Gov. Perry, they would have been negligent. It was too easy.

I guess that would depend on your interpretation of misbehaving. Never seen such a bad field of candidates as the republicans. The president is not just the smartest guy in the room but the luckiest.. The republican pimps out his wife got booted and he ended up with Alan Keyes as the opponet in the senate race. And he was tougher than this bunch.

SNL wouldn’t touch the fact that Obama dined at the White House with the president of one of the organizations, ISNA, named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the HLF terror trial. That means that a guy who runs an organization that supports Hamas, a known terror organization, was fouling the White House at Obama’s invitation.

Wouldn’t it be great for the national media if we were all as stupid as the folks who gobble up the slop that SNL serves up?

Everyone here was having a good time when SNL did parodies on Clinton, Obama and the other Democrats 4 years ago. Now that it‘s only Republicans running now and all of a sudden it’s not funny. Anyone who says that Perry’s speech was not hilarious and subject to ridicule has no sense of humor. But this is what I expect from the readers here.

I thought it was funny. No matter what the media says, that Perry speech was NOT normal Perry. I can’t help but think he tried an anxiety pill just for that occassion and no one realized how loopy it would make him. Zanex or something.

The most horrible thought is — he was normal during that speech.

While the doofus in chief and his wife the first wookie are still left alone. There is so much material to use against this moron I can’t wait for the campaign commercials to start running. Now that will be funny.

On a side note, I do feel this season isn’t as well done as past seasons. Just saying.

I can’t think of a reason why the Blaze would withhold any dirt on Brother Romney, can you?
