‘Savage’ Beating of Tenn. Cashier Caught on Camera

A felon with a long rap sheet was arrested this week after a surveillance camera caught him beating a 20-year-old cashier at a Dollar General store about 30 miles from Nashville, TN on Monday. It’s an attack the local news station calls “savage”:

Surveillance video shows Jeffery Neal enter the store and walk up to the cashier, a 20-year-old mother of three.

Lebanon police said the woman was attacked without warning and the 34-year-old Neal only demanded money after the fact.

Lebanon Police Chief Scott Bowen told Nashville’s News 2 an assistant manager also in the store at the time placed the call to 911.

Manager: “A guy came in and started beating up my cashier. I was in the back, I heard her scream, and this black guy, I got him on tape, he comes in all the time, he came in and starts beating up on my cashier. “
911: “Do you need an ambulance?”
Manager: “Yes, I need an ambulance too. Yes, her face is all swelled up.”

Neal was apprehended not long after the incident and booked into the Wilson County jail.

Chief Bowen said he has a long history of violence and was only recently released from prison on parole.

The cashier has not returned to work.

    We can fix this once and for all. Tell the crack head that there is said drugs in the General’s safe. Put cashier through the rapid approval process for concealed carry. Notify crack head he’s being released do to over crowed prisons. Rat will show back up were there’s cheese. Mouse trap set and one less rat to worry about. Could rinse and repeat across the nation. Will call it “Catch and release”.

    One one hand, I do not like how often our images are recorded in an ordinary day. Yet, when it helps catch criminals, I am thankful.

    Some of us can rule ourselves. But what happens when we are intermingled with immoral people in society? Yes, we need to better ourselves. What do we do with those that won’t?

    They wonder why they are profiled? They wonder why, like Obamas grandmother, people cross the street when they are walking towards them?     I knew a young man who was cashier at a C-store in North Carolina when a man armed with a knife came in to rob him. The cashier knew how to defend himself and beat the would-be robber up. The police caught him, too. The cashier had a night stick under the counter, knocked the knife out of the man’s hand, and then came over the counter to confront him. Seems they found the guy at a hospital getting himself sewn back together! The cashier got a minor scratch from a magazine rack.

    I would like to know the legal meaning of “felon” and “long rap sheet” that is used in TN. If those are accurate descriptions of this man’s record what the heck is he doing on the street? I love to know the history of the charges on this guy and the time served stats. This feels like somebody dropped the ball big time.

    The takeaway for me? Confirmation that neither the police, the politicians, the law makers, nor the courts can’t protect us. Period. End of discussion. The next time the ACLU, or some other pinheaded progressive person or organization wants stricter control on weapons send them this story and ask them “why”?

      I believe you are spot on. Obama has managed to stir up the long held but seldom seen hate of Blacks against whites that is going to burst through when Obama gets everything he wants because 90 percent of Blacks are expecting everything to turn around one hundred and eighty degrees from when he was elected and that is not what Obama is working for nor what he will deliver. Everyone will be worse off but Blacks will feel especially let down and we will all suffer… most especially Blacks that don’t like Obama because they will be seen as siding with Whites.

      This kid had apparently played this scenario over in his mind repeatedly and decided the cashier was going to resist, so in his mind, when he walked into that store, he‘d already thought he asked her for the money and she wasn’t fast enough. So, he went directly into attack mode and pistol whipped her.

      I’m sure you know that if you must point a gun at someone and find yourself having to pull the trigger, it needs to be an “all or nothing” bullet. You may not get the second chance. I hate having to say that, but this kid was playing “all or nothing”.

      I also think that maybe it would be worth it to take one of these town over that has been abandoned in the desert somewhere, build a high wall around it, put guards on the wall to keep the “residents” in and just drop the perps in. Maybe airlift food and water once a week. That’d be nice on our part. I think it is called survival of the fittest, or maybe natural law. Just think how much that would reduce the costs.

      Nancy, this has nothing to do with hate and everything to do with animal behavior. If you’ve watched the animal kingdom, you’ll have seen how opportunistic animals are. They don’t hate, they just want and they do whatever it takes to get what they want. The only thing that deters them is the threat of or actual physical domination. The many responders who’ve mentioned carrying a gun have the only real solution.

      Here’s an example from my hometown. There’s a convenience store owned by an asian family and located in the middle of a bad section of town. The store used to get robbed regularly until the owners armed themselves. Within a 6 month period, two attempted robberies resulted in the deaths of both robbers. Since then, the store hasn‘t even had an attempted robbery in over 7 years despite that area of town’s continued downward slide.

      2- Even so, this doesn NOT qualify anyway.
      3- If I were the owner/CEO of a bank/merchandise outlet, anywhere the public can come and there is money, I would require my top manager on duty to be armed AND trained in cases such as this…or if some turd comes in with a huge tree branch….something crazy like that.
      4- I prefer the H&K .40 USP with 4 13 round clips available, all full of COR-BONs. They make the nastiest exit wound I know of, so if there are several perps, after the first has his arm blown off the others will take notice.

      WTH- why do we do it? Why do we let these idiots out? Here is what I think should happen. When an inmate comes up for parole- tell the review board that it is okay to parole prisoner’s whom they believe can safely be returned to society. BUT- if that inmate, while on parole, commits ANY crime, they will have to do his time. I guarantee you that prisoner’s not fit to return to society will not make it out anymore if the review board and perhaps the parole officer are held responsible for what the inmate does while released. And this is just going to get worse folks. California is so broke (where I unfortunately live for the time being) that they are going to start releasing prisoners because they can’t afford to care for them.

      Time to start culling these animals from the population, NOT locking them up and feeding them forever. Several states are turning loose “Non-violent” criminals due to budget problems. Who turned this beast loose on the population? Was he considered non violent because it was a drug conviction? Open your eyes and take a good hard look at our future unless this insane PC bull sh** is brought under control. Time for common sense to make a come back.

      @ Sacred Honor. Why would you want large exit woulnds? Too messy and a lot of wasted kinetic energy on exit. Leave the clean up to the ER or morgue.

      So how many of you posters are willing to send her $10 to defray wages lost? Her family is suffering also. As to 3 children at 20? So what? In bygone years that was not uncommon. Now the women wait till they are so old they have autistic children and are 90 by the time the kids graduate from college.
      I can imagine this Mom will never be able to work in public again for fear of it happening again. Take the time to find her and give a little. Aren’t we famous for our giving?

      Okay, Old Old Timer, exactly how do you recommend we help her out with cash? Is there a community fund, or a way to give? I don‘t even know the woman’s name. If something were set up, I’d bet that alot of the Blazers would kick in, but unless there is, we’re pretty much stymied.

      I explained why, but maybe not clear enough. Take the example of the Marine and his wife bout a month ago being attacked by a large group outside that theater. Now, some ‘bangers are used to being in firefights…with 9mm ball rounds mostly because they don’t know any better. So. Take one of my .40 cal +P+, 1,300 fps COR-BON rounds…hollowpoint and constructed so as not to mushroom, but instead “claw out” to make a huge drill bit. Hit one of those guys, first shot in his shoulder the right way and his arm is gone. What do you reckon the rest in that group would do?
