Posted on September 25, 2010 at 4:09pmThe General did nothing wrong, the term Ma’am IS the SIR for female Officers. Boxer not only looked a bit high strung with this exchange, she also showed her ignorance of the military and its traditions, which in my mind is a SERIOUS problem. A sitting senator needs to be intellectually curious enough to at least understand what is happening in real time. Sad, sad exchange……

Posted on September 25, 2010 at 8:55amCarly Firorina is the poster child for corporate malfeasance.
Report Post »While at HP she sent over 10% of the workforce packing in order to pad her personal income. That’s 30,000 American jobs lost to India, so that she could reap the millions of dollars she now uses to corrupt the electorate.
Then in a move that nearly killed HP, she buys Compaq, a company that had a nearly identical footprint to HP, sans the printers. That move cost another 35-40,000 jobs just in duplication. Neither Compaq, or HP was ever the same.
The point here is that Fiorina is a bad executive, and will do little or nothing to help either California or the US. What I can guarantee is that given the job, she will move QUICKLY to accelerate sending jobs off-shore so that her handlers in the hi-tech arena can continue to profit from the cheap labor available in India, South Korea and now China. THAT YOU CAN COUNT ON

How typical of the “We the People” crowd, I respond to an article with FACT, and the counter is a personal attack. I have no skin in the California game, but with 30+ years in the TECH industry, I know the players, and what they did/do.
Hey wethepeople, do you know what a H1B visa is? Do you know why TECH companies like HP have shed millions of good paying AMERICAN jobs & workers to bring in H1B’s? I do, and when my job was ‘shed’, I started my own firm, and I actually HIRE Americans.
Fiorina is just bad, no matter where she goes, her main concern will be herself…..ever wonder why NO ONE has hired her in the 5 years since her ouster at HP?

Posted on September 25, 2010 at 10:08pmFlamingLiberal, I appreciate your respectful response. It is not easy to find reasoned ideological debate between political parties. Thank you!
Here’s where we part ways, I’m sure: Carly took the helm at Hewlett Packard around the time the Clinton admistration went after Microsoft (which IMHO was ground zero of the bursting of the dot-com bubble). Why did they go after Gates? Was it because he was worth 95 billion plus? Or maybe it was a union thing; I don’t know; I wasn’t paying that much attention to politics, at the time.
When Microsoft crashed, others followed, including HP.
As a company, we had ruled market share in injet technology while other printer manufacturers were reverse-engineering our product and encroaching on our market share. Granted, Compaq was a bone-head idea! But Carly was faced with the out-of-control descretionary spending under the Lou Platt regime. HP made billions and it wasted a lot of profits on a SOCIAL UTOPIAN workplace. Carly had a mountain to climb. Carly seemingly couldn’t care less about the inventors and workers and did more about the shareholders and board of directors (which was her demise). I was all into helping to increase the bottom line; I worry about my bottom line everyday and I can tell you; I’d rather work for the richest of companies than the poorest. And that my friend is why Liberal policies and their class envy rhetoric, their fear-mongering (yes, the left promotes fear of the rich), and ‘progressive’ ideology, will dilute the greatness of OUR country (if not destroy it all together).
I have no love for Carly but, I have a love of country and stand for free markets, Christian-based values, freedom, and liberty. Carly lost her job by a decision made by the rich upper-crust of HP.
Regardless of what the Left thinks, all of the rich are not heartless. Quite the contrary, they know of the spirit of the American people and, in most cases, strive to exploit it, and not always just for profit. I still don’t know why profit is a bad thing as long as I can find it here in my country.
Global government and global poverty does not appeal to me. I will not be ruled by a so-called elite class! NEVER. Boxer needs to go!!!

I spent 16 years in the Seattle Metro area and it just is mindboggling that Patty Murray and Maria Cantwell continue to get re-elected. Take out Seattle and The Evergreen State College in Olympia, hotbeds of everything that is wrong with America, and WA State is basically Conservative.

As a born and raised Nor Cal woman, I have to disagree with you there. I’m from the most liberal area of California, the bay area. I was far enough away to see that most people I met in my area were conservative and the conservatives only get more and more numerous as you get away from San Fran and into the country. The bay is so densely populated and liberal that everything else is overshadowed by them. Look at the red and blue counties map of california, and you’re going to find a lot more red counties than blue. The votes are close in the blue for the most part. The vast majority of Nor Cal is farm land where a lot of people of character live. You can bash the politicians we have all you want, but people of honor live here and deserve to be represented the way we always wanted but never got before. We are beat over the head every day with images of liberal propaganda and it’s rampant in the schools. The conservatives were in hiding before, but no longer.

Posted on September 25, 2010 at 9:39amWrite-in = third party. All that will do is divide one of the parties, and probably Boxer will get back in. Back in the day I was a Perot supporter. I’ve learned the hard way, third party races hurt more than they help.
Report Post »CoFX
Posted on September 25, 2010 at 12:04pmAlthough your write-in may be a better choice than either of these ladies, it will only hand Boxer the seat by a large margin. Have your guy endorse Fiorina, and work to get in himself the next time around.
I live in Colorado – look at the most recent polls in our govenor’s race. Last I checked, the Dem candidate has 45% of the vote, leading. The GOP nominee, Maes has 25%, and Tancredo, who LOST the GOP nomination, joined in as a third party – he has 20%. We are about to hand our Govenor’s seat to the Dems with 45% of the vote!??!?!?!
If the right united around one candidate, they would have a lead of 10 points. Just as in California, you are not going to be pulling votes away from Boxer, it is Fiorina that will lose votes to a third party. You will hand the election to Boxer by a large margin. If you are all about getting Boxer out, you have to make some tough choices. If Fiorina doesn’t live up to your standards, vote her out after her first term.
Don’t just hand the seat to Boxer again. Please. We will have a Democratic govenor in our state for the next four years because one candidate on the right thinks he is more qualified than another on his same side of the isle.

It does not mean that you have to respect them as a person.!! I have news for the President who more than once has used his title to sound off that he is over everyone, like at the so-called summit he moderated and the Boxer’s,Pelosi’s,Reids and Frank’s in the “Government Stupid” You are just CITIZENS the same as a PRIVATE in a fighting hole off in some foreign land like Afghanistan that has not had a shower in a month. But you STINK twice as bad as the private ever will and you WILL NEVER be more IMPORTANT to WE THE PEOPLE than that PRIVATE!! Time to be voted out, pensions taken away and for you to ACT like CITIZENS again instead of KINGS and QUEENS!!!

It will probably explode in washington once she really finds out what those damn morons have been up to there. I think congress has a guy or gal that drills a hole in their head first day they show up for work and sucks out their brains, just like the military shaves new recruits heads the first day or boot camp! haha hahah ha notice how I connected those two together. KNOCK OUT THE BOXER WITH THE UPPER CUT TO THE CHIN!

Posted on September 25, 2010 at 3:34pmThis CNN ***** need to get taken down a notch as well, what a argent pile of crap. He is trying to force a issue with this add and his biases is showing, she did a great job keeping her add on point. The left wing media’s should be scared they are next right right after Nov. we need outlets that find news and are not just there to defend pigs like Barbra. The real story is “CNN goes Offensive on Fiorina shelling for Barbra”

Posted on September 26, 2010 at 11:31amWho is J King to ask anyone to defend their ad. I don’t see Grayson, Coons, Boxer or Brown asked to defend theirs. When can we start deporting the progressive lefts to Mexico?

Posted on September 26, 2010 at 7:47pmAgreed! Boxer must go. She’s bad, bad, bad. As the ad says.. it’s true, Boxer is arrogant as most politicians are perhaps. We’ve got to get rid of Boxer and then get rid of Feinstein; both parts of the same dysfunctional wheel. California’s broke for many reasons and no one wants to talk about the millions of illegals because their votes are needed. California use to be called the “bread basket” but the Feds dried up the center valley to save a little smelt-fish, creating 40% unemployment in those counties. But hey… those little nothing fish are being saved. Idiots!
As California goes … so goes America.
