‘Say Yes, Tim’: Female Airman Invites Tim Tebow to Military Ball Via Viral Video

It worked last year on Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake. So why not Tim Tebow?

A female airman in Shreveport, Louisiana, has invited the Denver Broncos quarterback to be her date to the military ball. And like those before her, she did it via a video that is now going viral.

“I would be the luckiest and happiest girl if you were to say yes and be my date,” Jamie Walden, the 20-year-old with Tebow-like dimples from Barksdale AFB, says in the video. “So, please say yes.”

The video then shows a host of fellow military members repeating the line, “Say yes, Tim.”

In fact, Walden’s mother even makes an appearance:

“So Tim, with that being said, I hope your answer is yes, and I hope to hear from you soon. Bye,” she concludes.

Last year, Hollywood stars Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake were asked to military balls in the same manner. Both accepted and attended.

Tebow has yet to respond.

Hey Blaze, it really appears you have a crush on Tim Tebow despite the fact that he’s a horrible quarterback.

Why don’t you report on an athlete who is actually excelling in a sport, i.e. Jeremy Lin. He would be perfect for you: he provides a great underdog story and is devoutly Christian. Then again, there is one aspect of his story your readers may not like, that is, he is not white.

Godfather – Horrible Quarterback? He lead his team to the playoffs where he threw for over 300 yards against the Steelers. You have a pretty funny idea of what makes a horrible quarterback.

As for Jeremy Lin – I‘ll admit I’m more of a football fan than basketball, but he is “excelling unlike Tebow?” Good grief, he is a decent player, but more benchwarmer than star. He does seem like a great guy though. Tell you what, when he leads the Nicks to the playoffs and puts up a double-double I’m sure there will be a story on him.

      @Godfather.1
It is the Liberals (Liberalism is a mental disorder, by the way) that “LOOK” for racism where ever they can. I’m sure if a young military gal was asking for J. Lin to take HER to the military ball and posting it on the web, the Blaze would have a story about that too ! Hey, why don’t YOU join the military and ask Mr. Lin to take you ? I guarantee, the Blaze will write a story on that :-)

But no… Godfather.1, you MUST bring race into it, then play “dumb” about your own comments. It is a common tactic used by the left; the twisting of words, or outright lies about something that isn’t so, like the latest rant by the left that Rebuplicans want to ban contraception, when the argument is really about not wanting the government to tell any one person, entity, company or religeous group what they can and can not do.

So, instead of just coming out and saying (this is the left speaking)… “We want to cut off your head…”, they speak in such a way to make it seem nice, like “We’re here to help you and take a load off of your shoulders…”.

Nice try Godfather.1, but I see right through you.

I read this site several times a week and I see very little racism. When it does raise it‘s head it’s usually anti-semitism. Of course the left loves to accuse the right of being racist but they somehow equate fiscal responsibility and taking the moral high ground as racist so at this point it’s become somewhat meaningless for them to play that card.

“Just watched the movie, Act of Valor. Truly inspiring. So thankful for everything the Navy Seals and all of our men and women in uniform do for us.”

Tim Tebow posted this on his facebook last night. As someone who is DEPing into the USMC in a month, I don‘t believe it’s a bad thing. I know a lot of young people who are serving right now and they’re under a lot of pressure to perform. Only the best will be allowed to stay in after their term is up, and only the most motivated are able to enlist. It’s hard work getting into the military nowadays, and it‘s no cakewalk once you’re in. As far as I am concerned, our military can use all of the positive attention it can get in these times. Things are going to get a lot harder for them.

Wolf why shouldn’t he respond with a reply? Do you even know what serving in the military is like? I doubt it just from your shallow response. You and everyone like you that thinks this is ridiculous has no clue of what it means when an airman, soldier, marine, or sailor steps out of their comfort zone to ask someone of notoriety to attend such an event. Why do you think they do it on YouTube? Do you expect them to call him, drop an email to her personal email address? What do you suggest? That is exactly what I thought. Until you and the rest of you have a better idea for how the young men and women serving our country should ask an athlete or celebrity to attend an official function I suggest you keep your childless comments to yourself.

It is a cheap way to get attention regardless of her admirable qualities. This is not fair to the celebrities who bear the criticism of refusing.
