Scary? Even Communists Surprised at ‘Radicalization’ of Wis. Dems

When a radical mentions how surprised he is at the radicalization of others, might that be a telling sign about those mentioned?

Scary? Even Communists Surprised at Radicalization of Wis. DemsThe MacIver Institute, which has become one of the go-to groups documenting the unrest in Wisconsin, has released a disturbing video report showing what one prominent communist thinks of Wisconsin Democratic legislators.

“I have to tell you,” says Communist Party USA Vice Chair Scott Marshall in an online video, “that in every one of the situations that I’ve been in in Madison and Indianapolis, there is a radicalization going on among Democratic legislators that I‘ve never seen in my lifetime and I don’t think any of us have.”

What does that mean according to Marshall? “[W]e have to work with them and we have to see the possibility that a lot of these Democrats are going to move toward more independent positions. And by independent I mean independent of the corporations, independent of the finance capital, and independent of the ruling class of this country.”

So comforting, isn’t it? But the most interesting question — and one that may not be foreign to regular readers of this site — is, “What does it say about the Democratic Party if the Communist Party sees it as an ally?”

Interesting question, indeed.

    The wisconsin democrates, and unions want to unite, fight, we want our rights! Their form of the american dream. Now, the communists are willing to work with the democrates as long as they want to be independent of corporations, financial system, and the ruling class. That ‘s what stephen lerner was dishing out last week at pace university. I believe the communists are already a big part of the activists in the unions, and in the democratic party.

The democrat party of John Kennedy is so dead and gone that it has now become the liberal wing of the republican party, the so called rinos. It is the party of Scott Brown and Eric Cantor.

    Not one of the democratic legislators gets to the point of the state’s financial problems. That is the issue that they never bring up. They just want to kick the can down the road hoping they can get re-elected one more time to their elite position. If they had principles & wanted to do what is right for the country they would address the actual problem @ hand.

      We tried that in 2010 with Cong. John “Commie” Conyers who was even videoed at a Democratic Socialist Party of the US meeting bragging about his party support and affiliation.

      Unfortunately, numb minded union members and the uneducated population of downtown Detroit managed to keep him in office. It is sadly very hard to argue with absolute stupidity and win.

      You are right, except there are two groups – one are the pathological liars, the other group is the useful idiots. It is tough to tell them apart, but in any country where the pathological liars win, they become the ruling class, while the useful idiots are either murdered, allow to starve to death, or become slave labor (think N.       You are describing Wisconsin police, fireman, EMTs, nurses and teachers, some of whom are Veterans of Foreign Wars. Think about what motivates them to get up in the morning – can it be “Scheming to do evil? EVIL?”
      At the end of the day, some of these comments are only mean-spirited and therefore not helpful in making America Great. Please, Patriotic sisters and brothers, take the Country back by uniting with Americans!     How ANYONE could call themselves a “Democrat” these days and be proud of it, is beyond me. The entire window has shifted from the days of this great country’s founding. The founding fathers were, on average, Libertarians — and now, Libertarianism is considered extreme right.

    Now its OK to be a Democratic Socialist? It is disgusting.

    I’ll stick with the Libertarians, since I consider myself, a hard-core American — thank you very much. :-)

      People who tighten bolts in factories (as an example) make less than people who studied up to 8 years for a bachelor’s degree. Or: The average carpet salesman makes less than the average doctor. Does that mean doctors earn too much?

      Did you even know that until recently private workers were better compensated and protected than public workers? Were you upset about that?

      But with union busting and and non-stop greed, private employers managed to (over time) depress the wages and benefits of their private employees so much so that compensation for public employees started looked positively rosy by comparison. So tell me, why would you argue to have all workers (public and private) settle for this continuing flatening of wages and benifits.

      You should argue instead that private companies stop hoarding their profits into the hands of a few at the top and start giving the average workers the cost of living increases they deserve. And all of this is happening when worker productivitiy is at an all time high.

      You are unknowingly standing on the side of the very wealthy and powerful while they dismantle your security and reducing your purchasing power year after year. How sad.

      I apologize if I got under your skin, it seems like you made some poor career choices, maybe? (grin)
      It might be helpful if you turbocharge your career with some tested tea party techniques. Some are tax free too.
      We think you need to look out for yourself. If you really apply yourself to our people, you might be able to get a political job that would lead to the kind of benefits that city council, mayors, and Governors get. If you can manage to get some country property, you might qualify as a Farmer. (You might also be eligible to claim a federal entitlement and write off deferred farm income as personal revenue on financial disclosure statements.) You could always become caretaker for several foster children and pool their stipends. Lots of patriots also get temporary careers in construction and shipyards or else work in small establishments like taverns to make ends meet while they build a proper career.

      Don’t get confused. It is the people at the very top of the corporate pyramid that are greedy. The reason they make billions is because they keep too much for themselves and give too little to their workers. It is their workers who GENERATE the wealth. Is it selfish to cry foul when the workers are not reaping the benefits of their tremendously hard work? The CEO to worker ratio of 400 to 1 is very sad and shows clearly who is in fact greedy. Why do you support the people at the top taking just about everything and throwing their workers the crumbs?

      Here’s a book for you to read (that is, if you read books): The Spirit Level, by Richard Wilkinson and Kate Pickett. It details with real data the very serious problems that occur in a society when wealth inequality passes a certain threshold.

Would you mind telling us what county you are in? Or at least the state? Most municipalities do not let the VFD personnel go without being certified, insured and bonded. The http://www.volunteerfd.org/ site exists to help Volunteer Firefighters like yourself, and might be able to help you improve you situation by reducing your risk of injury, death, or bankruptcy due to lawsuits.

      We are certified, insured and bonded.but only while traveling to, at, and returning from a call. No members directly benefit financially from the VFD. We all work day jobs in the area. As far as lawsuits I somehow doubt it but you never know we could have a socialist move into the area. It’s the U.P. of Michigan so the likelihood is not there.

      I volunteer for CAP. we get no benefits unless fuel and oil reimbursements on SAR or an actual mission.
      And I have to pay dues every year, probably much more than public union dues.

I’ve been to Haiti I can understand if your talking about there, the Government literally steals from it’s people, they are lucky to get $5 for a weeks work. And while here in the U.S, our government is obviously corrupt, we do not suffer like most undeveloped countries.

      I think that if some of our better off patriots, entrepreneurs and investors could join me in a one time payment of $2-20,000 or more to pay off the Iraq War debt; everything would be a little better here, a little less harsh, and a little more optimistic. Also that 40 cents per dollar debt service fee would become 16 cents! We could walk out of debt without breaking a sweat.

      We could probably get out of debt if the tax evading Democrats would pay something. How about that G.E Corporation paying nothing in taxes? Oops I forgot G.E. is in bed with the Obama Regime. How about we get rid of Earned Income Credit? The practice of getting more money from the Government than you paid in is clearly unsustainable.

      Seazyhippo I thought that you communists said everyone’s job is equal and all should be treated that way. Therefore while I’m flipping burgers at McDondalds I expect nurses, policeman, firefighters, and yes the lovely teachers to be paid the same with the same benefits. To me it doesn‘t matter if I’m paid what they are being paid or if they are being paid what I’m being paid make it just equal. My rights as a non-educated drug user are just if not more important than those silly folks that tried to make something of themselves.

      America is a great big wonderful country full of all kinds of people. I have never been a union member but I know and have known many in my lifetime. Some, (like Sean, Glenn or Rush) have said they feel “forced” to join the entertainment industry unions – because there is no choice. I have known public employees who traded salary for benefits, and I have known public union members who felt their jobs were being dumbed down and restricted by too many rules, yet they managed to build the world’s best nuclear submarines. Most of my associates are Independents. They are not always glad that the unions support Democrats, but they often realize there are many anti-union political agendas.
