Scenes From Manny Pacquiao’s Controversial Loss to Timothy Bradley Saturday

Scenes From Manny Pacquiaos Controversial Loss to Timothy Bradley Saturday

(AP)Timothy Bradley promised to shock, though the biggest shock in his fight with Manny Pacquiao came from the judges’ scorecards.

In a fight Pacquiao seemed to have in hand, two judges decided otherwise, giving Bradley a split decision Saturday night and ending the Filipino fighter’s remarkable seven-year unbeaten run.

Promoter Bob Arum fumed, the crowd at the MGM Grand arena booed, and Pacquiao seemed stunned when the decision was announced. Arum said there would be a November rematch, though he blasted the way the decision went down.

“I’ve never been as ashamed of the sport of boxing as I am tonight,” said Arum, who handles both fighters.

Bradley came on strong in the later rounds, winning five of the last six rounds on two scorecards and four on the third. He won 115-113 on two scorecards, while losing on the third by the same margin. The Associated Press had Pacquiao winning 117-111.

“I did my best,” Pacquiao said. “I guess my best wasn’t good enough.”

I learned pretty early that boxing decisions had nothing to do with objectivity when I saw Jimmy Young beat Muhammad Ali every which way possible in 1976, and Ali was given the decision (to the hoots and howls from the audience). I lost all interest in boxing ever since.

Bradley should be ashamed of himself for accepting the winning belt. I watched the fight and it was very clear that Pacquiao won the fight. THE RESULT WAS RIGGED!!!

I will boycott the rematch. A lot of my friends are also planning to boycott the rematch because it will be rigged again.

BOO to BRADLEY!!! BOO to BRADLEY!!!

TO ALL WHO ARE INSULTING PACQUIAO “YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF!!!”.

PACQUIAO TRAINED HARD AND PRAYED A LOT BECAUSE HE WANTED TO WIN TO BRING HONOR TO HIS COUNTRY AND HELP HIS POOR COUNTRYMEN. BOXING IS A HARD AND DIFFICULT PROFESSION. BOXING WAS THE ONLY PROFESSION THAT PACQUIAO KNEW TO EARN A LIVING SO HE COULD SUPPORT HIS FAMILY BEFORE. HE WAS VERY VERY POOR THEN. HE EARNED HIS RICHES THE VERY VERY HARD WAY.

SHAME TO THOSE WHO ARE INSULTING PACQUIAO!!!

I am sorry, but your reasons sound more like an ‘everyone’s a winner, hook up the dude cause he had a rough life’ than reality. It was a close fight, period. Do you really think just because Manny prayed and used the money for his poor family, he should have been declared the winner? If so, I got a president I would love to hand you…

      RIGHT.

      Oh give me a break.

Like the early stoppages, the relentless lay n praying by half the sport, champs who can’t finish their opponents and spent 90% of the time running…of course, MMA is more popular than boxing.

I have never seen so many poor decision in my life as I have when I started watching MMA. Like when Nick Diaz WAS OUT for a solid 4 seconds against Daly, and yet he was allowed to continue…yet fedor was out for 1/10 second against hendo and he was still defending himself yet the fight is stopped?

So don’t tell me that ANYTHING Dana White is associated with is NOT corrupt and totally clean. He is as big a slime ball as they come, and the UFC/Zuffa is every bit as corrupt and lame as boxing.

A lot of people who follow boxing think this has been a major injustice. So it does fit “The Blaze” approach to reporting. Thanks you all (Blaze staff) for everything.

First of all I haven’t watched Boxing or followed it for a decade or so. In high school, my stomach turned when Douglas beat Tyson by TKO but this fight was different Pacquiao should have been the consideration as the clear winner but a lot of “gays” walk around with a chip on their shoulder and they can’t leave their bedroom in the bedroom. If Pacquiao lost because of “gays” politics, I would train really hard, so every fight is a win by TKO or KO or “death”. The judges can’t decide in those cases. The fighter has/will

Could be since they love forcing their lifestyle on society. I have worked under gay management before and forced to live by their standards and not by company policies. It wasn’t what was best for the company but something that may have been offensive to that lifestyle. Nevermind, what was best for the company, it was all about them.

It’s obvious those two judges are homosexuals who fell for the lies about Manny Pacquiao. They claimed he specifically said homosexuals should be put to death, as noted in the Bible (not). Remember that story? Thousands of left wing blogs and main stream news organizations reported it, but never retracted or apologized. They are still claiming Pacquiao said those things. Those two judges are homosexuals.

You are absolutely right. It is a disgrace to those who honor fair play and sportsmanship. Pacquiao is an honest man fighting in a rigged game. He should have quit while he was ahead. In the Philippines, he is a rich Congressman, and a national hero. Always will be, regardless of what the crooked judges say.

Had a higher hit percentage. Had a higher power hit percentage. Everyone BUT the judges gave 11 of 12 rounds to Pac-Man. He hit Bradley hard enough for Bradley to stumble and sprain BOTH ankles.

Yet two judges gave Bradley the wide margin.

Despite Vegas claims to the contrary, fights in that city simply are not judged as to reality.
