Science Czar Refuses to Answer Questions, Pushes Journalist on Elevator

Nicholas Ballasy has caught White House Science Czar John Holdren in a candid moment before, but Holdren wasn’t going to make the same mistake twice.
Ballasy, a correspondent for CNS News, approached Holdren earlier this month and recorded him admitting that his plan to “de-develop“ the United States involves using the ”free market economy.” That comment drew the ire of Conservatives.
So when Ballasy approached Holdren on Tuesday, the director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy took a much different approach: he avoids, and even appears to push, Ballasy, refusing to answer any questions about his claim that redistribution of wealth is “absolutely essential if a decent life is to be provided for every human being.”
“You guys are not serious journalists, and I’m not answering your questions,” Holdren tells Ballasy after giving a speech on “Science, Technology, and Sustainable Economic Growth” at the Woodrow Wilson Center in the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington, D.C.
When Ballasy persists and continues to follow Holdren into an elevator, Holdren asks “Would you let me be in my elevator?” When Ballasy doesn’t immediately leave, Holdren then reaches out his forearm and makes contact with Ballasy in the back:
Ballasy declined comment through a CNS spokesperson.

Posted on September 30, 2010 at 12:31pmI agree with almost everything these people want for the rest of the world… but stealing it from people who worked for it, and forged (initially) responsible governments in order to protect it isn’t the answer.
Africa is rich in resources and population. It’s just not being utilized. Why not take out the oligarchy over there? China is Rich, yet they treat much of their population like slaves. All continents have resources and manpower… they just don’t have the appropriate political systems in place to take advantage of it, and they are convinced we have to share ours.
Robbing the West is just going to lower the bar, and lead to chaos.

Their faith in their god, Marx or whomever, is so great that it allows them to justify any physical deterrent or aggression against a dissenting idea.
It is much like Al Qaeda in that their faith is so strong in their god that any physical aggression is permitted and encouraged. When one lashes out in physical violence it is a direct outward expression of physical fear, and their physical fear is equally as great as their spiritual faith…they are the animals that kill in the name of an ideal.
Faith never strikes out in aggression, only defends righteously those that cannot defend themselves.

Posted on September 30, 2010 at 12:22pmi’m sorry, but i would not call that a push. i try to be fair to both sides and this time i don’t see the basis for the claim. yes, the guy has some horrible, freedom-killing ideas, but he‘s still just an academic at heart and probably hasn’t ever had to be physical w/ anyone. my point is, i don’t think he could push someone if he wanted to.
on the other hand he should be held to account for the ideas he’s proposed and the comments he has said and then made to answer tough questions regarding them.

And why don’t they have the courage to tell the American people just what they are planning instead of trying to trick us while the implementation of their new system is under way and then spring their new “constitution” on us when a major crisis occurs? They have sat at the knees of higher education, to become elite educators, which, especially in social disciplines, has a very long strain of ‘making it up,’ void of any rubber on the rode. If you ain’t got good history of being in the fields of America, making it work, because you work, you are prone to be either an over diploma-ed fool or highly skilled in the handout-holdup lines. And they tend to team together. Science, de-development, global economic redistribution and anti-free-enterprise are not topics collected together in the typical college class, or discipline. All to often, assigning a Dr. in front of a name creates a god-like personality steep in a relatively few books while being fully ignorant at making anything work. I fault We The People for a lack of diligence and vigilance. Perhaps we are the kids who fail to make it, happen for ourselves. Academia has become a new religion that we ought to de-fund, re-prioritize and move beyond. We need the credentials of free-market accomplishment, sound American history and convictions and current awareness. With the wealth of electronic means, surely we can remake a branch of education closely aligned with America Exceptionalism.

Karl Marx’s philosophy actually says that optimal country to implement a communist government into is a giant capitalist country that collapses in on itself economically. So really it makes perfect sense why they are doing what they are doing. With 60% of the People disgruntled over the Health Care fiasco and 70% feeling trod upon over the Dems adjourning Congress without extending the Bush Tax Cuts, while everyone who has been paying attention understands that the 37 Dems who would have joined the Republicans to extend all the Bush Tax Cuts was just a ploy so they could go home and claim they actually supported the extension while what will happen is that after the election, during the lame duck session of Congress, the Bush Tax Cuts will be extended for the lower incomes and be allowed to expire for the upper incomes, just as Obama has always wanted. If Congress would have passed a Bill to extend all of the tax cuts now, Obama would have vetoed it. This sleazy maneuver saved face for Obama, gave cover to those Dems who needed it for their campaigns and totally ignored the will of the People, at least 60-70% of them.
Let us all join together, that is the 60% and the 70% and vote straight Republican at all levels and at all positions and then hold the Republicans’ feet to the fire under their “Pledge to America”. This is easy, I have already done it. I feel relieved and felt a thrust of power in that in about 15 minutes or less I put my personal nail through the destructive, Big Government, Agenda of Obama and the Dems.

I don’t agree with Mr. Holdren, in fact I think his ideas are extremely dangerous and damaging to our country, but in this case, I think he handled himself as a gentleman.
Had it been me getting heckled by a reporter, I would have probably slugged the guy…I really dislike reporters. Most of them are jerks, this one included.
