Sebelius: It‘s Time to ’Reeducate’ You on ObamaCare

Despite their best efforts in the past to convince the American public that ObamaCare is the kind of “change” we all need, the White House is quickly realizing their talking points aren’t sticking. Public opinion polls are reporting sustained opposition to the Democrats’ health care reform plan more than five months after the president signed it into law.
But they’re not giving up–Health and Human Service Secretary Kathleen Sebelius says the administration will use “reeducation” to try and convince voters heading into the midterm elections. According to the Obama administration, the sweeping health care overhaul remains unpopular due to lingering “confusion.”
“Unfortunately, there still is a great deal of confusion about what is in [the reform law] and what isn’t,” Sebelius told ABC News Radio in an interview Monday.
With several vulnerable House Democrats touting their votes against the bill, and Republicans running on repeal, Sebelius said “misinformation given on a 24/7 basis” has led to the enduring opposition nearly six months after the lengthy debate ended in Congress.
“So, we have a lot of reeducation to do,” Sebelius said.
Sebelius also told ABC that she “strongly” disagrees with what her predecessor, former Health and Human Services secretary Mike Leavitt, wrote in a Washington Post op-ed last week, suggesting that ObamaCare’s changes to Medicare merely create the “illusion” of reform.
Meanwhile, Mary Katharine Ham of the Weekly Standard and Guy Benson of Townhall.com offer a breakdown of ObamaCare’s promises and realities–a thorough assessment that will not likely to make it into the administration’s “reeducation” curriculum. Read it here.

Posted on September 1, 2010 at 12:41amI don’t like how she just throws around the word “reeducation”. These people really don’t have their fingers on the pulse of this nation. They just don’t get it, or they just don’t care.

Posted on September 1, 2010 at 12:17amFirst off, did we even get educated on healthcare reform to begin with? I could have sworn that this passed without it even being read. Now, when I hear the term “We need to re-educate the public” I can’t help but envision a scene of some mafia king pen holding a bat ready to re-educate me on “getting with the program. F U, pay me” Perhaps this re-education process will be a proposal of over 1,000 pages that we’re not allowed to read before it get passed into law. I actually downloaded the healthcare reform bill and started to read it, it didn’t take me long at all to realize that any common man with an IQ over 150 and the opportunity to spend 6 straight months at the library of congress to look up all the references could gather the full understanding of this bills entire content quite easily. The puppet masters have been working on this for a long time, it wasn’t meant to be understood. It was written to make a statement that “WE are in control, WE know what you need and you’ll get what WE feel you need.” It’s your choice to bend over or to do something about it. I choose to do something about it while I can still sit in comfort.

Posted on August 31, 2010 at 11:31pmNo Ms. Sebelius, it will take more than “a lot of reeducation’ to sell this healthcare bill. And now that we have read it and are sorting out what it means, we want less to do with this plan. Peloai, Reid and Obama can stick this healthcare plan where the sun doesn’t shine.

Posted on August 31, 2010 at 10:15pmThe last time I heard anyone talking about reeducation was after April of 1975. The North Vietnamese had overun the South. At that time millions of the South Vietnamese were sent off to be reeducated. We all know how well that worked out for the South Vietnamese.

Unlike you and your supreme leader, some of us DID wade through the entire 1000 + pages of utter gobbledy-**** double speak.
And, yeah, you and the Liar in Chief are soooooooooooooooo FIRED!
Just make sure your Unemployment Insurance is adequate to your very expensive lifestyle of the rich and infamous.

Posted on August 31, 2010 at 1:52pmI hate to say it because the long term implications of this adminstration are indeed serious, that some of the stuff coming out of the mouths of these folks are hilarious.
Take us to school, Sebelius. Please teach us the error of our ways! ROFL *snort*

Posted on August 31, 2010 at 1:42pmShould anything out of the mouth of this hater of unborn children be surprising at this point?
And should we be surprised at “reeducation” comments coming out of this Regime? The leader of The Regime launched his political career in the home of terrorists who wanted to send us to reeducation camps after they overthrew the government, and then murder as many as 25 million of us who refused to be reeducated. You‘ve also got a Regime that regularly specifically attacks members of the media and tells you to stay off the internet because there’s just too much information out there.

Posted on August 31, 2010 at 1:37pmShow she is going to reeducate us on a bill that the House hasn’t read, the Senate hasn’t read, the President hasn‘t read and I am sure she hasn’t read. It‘s like playing ’wheel of Fortune’ to pick the lie on the next SPIN. I can only say there is a ‘Great Confusion’ as to what is in this Bill because nobody can explain it but the real Administration – ‘Center for American Progress’.
For these elitists to be so enlightened, they pick the most idiotic representation. As Forrest Gump would say, “Stupid Is as Stupid Does”.

Posted on August 31, 2010 at 12:48pmIt would be interesting to see Kathleen quizzed on the particulars of this bill. Does she know what’s in the bill? Does anyone? How about we reeducate ourselves on the fine art of intelligent voting and responsible representation so as to prevent ourselves from these debacles going forward?

Posted on August 31, 2010 at 11:18amWelcome to the machine…. You WILL be re-educated! Please go to the White House website and enter your address. A black bus will arrive within 24 hours to transport you to a re-education camp. Please only pack your tooth brush and a note pad. Medication will be provided as well as shower facilities and a tattoo to indicate you have been “corrected.”

Posted on September 1, 2010 at 12:17amJust another example of how the internet has confused the American public with the facts. We really didn’t expect you to be able to read…and understand the Bill once it was passed. Nancy had it all wrong. We’ll just need to smarten you up a bit. How about a few stimulus $ and we call it even. Stop you complain’n.
