I’m so glad that Glenn has been talking about this and really helping us understand how if you follow the money, the DNC has received LOTS more “donations” then the Reps have. Never in my life have I EVER seen the hatred the DNC has for everyone who doesn’t agree with their progressive, socialist, Marxist agenda. It’s actually a little frightening.

This really peeves me, if special interest and unions can contribute undisclosed amounts of money to a political campaign, then why shouldn’t business be allowed also?
I also like how they left out the fact that General Motors contributed major cash to the DNC after YEARS of staying out of funding politics

There are not definitive estimates of how much money is going through this channel, but the estimates derived from NPR based upon conversations with local television broadcast stations runs above $400M. Just Karl Rove’s 501(c)3 and the Chamber of Commerce together will spend $140M (see: http://mobile.salon.com/opinion/greenwald/2010/10/19/brooks/index.html). It is not the amount that matters–in response to the $1B spent on the ‘08 election–but rather the large amount of anonymous donations that even a conservative majority on the Supreme Court worried about.
