Secret Service Prostitution Scandal: See Photos of the Hotel Where Agents Were Staying

The Hotel Caribe is a five-star historic beachfront hotel in Cartagena, Colombia where Secret Service agents at the center of a prostitution scandal were staying. (AP)

Eleven Secret Service agents were placed on administrative leave Saturday pending the outcome of the investigation into an embarrassing prostitution scandal in Colombia continues.

The incident occurred early Thursday at a five-star historic beachfront hotel ahead of President Barack Obama’s arrival at a regional summit. Rep. Peter King, chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, told the Associated Press after being briefed on investigation “close to” all 11 of the agents involved brought women back to their rooms at the Hotel Caribe.

King, a New York Republican, told the AP the women were “presumed to be prostitutes” but investigators were interviewing the agents involved.

Prostitution is legal in certain areas of Colombia.

The Associated Press reported:

King said he was told that anyone visiting the hotel overnight was required to leave identification at the front desk and leave the hotel by 7 a.m. When a woman failed to do so, it raised questions among hotel staff and police, who investigated. They found the woman with the agent in the hotel room and a dispute arose over whether the agent should have paid her.

King said he was told that the agent did eventually pay the woman.

The incident was reported to the U.S. embassy, prompting further investigation, King said.

The 11 Secret Service agents involved were all relieved from duty and replaced Friday. They included special agents and uniformed division officers, the Los Angeles Times reported. None of the agents involved were assigned to directly protect Obama.

“This incident is not reflective of the behavior of our personnel as they travel every day throughout the country and the world performing their duties in a dedicated, professional manner,” Secret Service spokesman Paul S. Morrissey said in a statement. “We regret any distraction from the Summit of the Americas this situation has caused.”

According to the AP, three waiters at the hotel described the agents as drinking heavily during their stay. A spokeswoman for the hotel refused to comment on the incident, saying it “concerns only and exclusively the U.S. government.”

White House staff and members of the press corps have subsequently stayed the hotel, which is different from where the president is staying.

Anyone who believes elite war fighters do not appreciate professional physical attention do not understand the warrior ethic. True Patriot women support their men and do not ask too many questions about where the $500.00 went during R&R and occasional “lay overs.”

Not surprised. This hotel was recommended by the GSA because all the rooms come “with…”.

However the Secret Service did not read the fine print that there is an extra charge for the “rooms with…”.

Poor Barry, he was hoping for something a bit more than a good meal when one of his Secret Service folks had to go and complain about the extra charges for the “rooms with…”. (Why do you think Moochel stayed home.)

This is exactly what happens when the man’s genitalia does the thinking. We at least know that 11 SS do not use their God given brains, as well as some military. Those that are married – good luck keeping your marriage intact. Frankly, I’d kick your booty out the door. You aren’t worth saving.

Just because something might be legal, does not necessarily mean you should partake in it, especially if it is illegal everywhere else.

As if hookers haven’t been used throughout history to sneak around security measures. But this crap has been going on for years with any number of Democratic Presidents, and sometimes right in our own White House with the express knowledge of the Secet Service regarding certain Presidents and their OWN behavior. Kennedy and Clinton come to mind, and it doesn’t always have to involve prostitutes to be a scandal.

The sad thing is that prostitutes are sometimes victims of human trafficking. Most were raped over and over as children some as young as 5 and even younger. By the time they become adults they are so messed in drugs and far gone that keep doing this until they get killed or die of overdose. I never understand how people can pretend that prostitution is just a moral issue. In most cases is tied to drug cartels and the most violent crimes that you could imagine! Drugs also, i cannot believe how many people look a pot as something cool. Has anyone seen the violence in Mexico???? people being burried alive, burned alive, decapted, little girls being sold as sex slaves, families being executed…. And that’s where the money goes to when the “cool” kids smoke an innocent pot. It lines up the pockets of the most violent people out there.
