Security Forces Beat Yemeni Protesters Demanding Change

SANAA, Yemen (AP) — Yemeni police with clubs on Saturday beat anti-government protesters who were celebrating the resignation of Egyptian leader Hosni Mubarak and demanding the ouster of their own president.
The crackdown reflected an effort to undercut a protest movement seeking fresh momentum from the developments in Egypt, where an 18-day uprising toppled Mubarak. His ouster raised questions about the long-term stability of Yemen and other Western-allied governments in the region.
The United States is in a delicate position because it advocates democratic reform, but wants stability in Yemen because it is seen as a key ally in its fight against Islamic militants.
Hundreds of protesters had tried to reach the Egyptian embassy in Sanaa, Yemen’s capital on Saturday, but security forces pushed them back. Buses ferried ruling party members, equipped with tents, food and water, to the city’s main square to help prevent attempts by protesters to gather there.
There were about 5,000 security agents and government supporters in the Sanaa square named Tahrir, or Liberation. Egypt’s protesters built an encampment at a square of the same name in Cairo, and it became a rallying point for their movement.
Witnesses say police, including plainclothes agents, drove several thousand protesters away from Sanaa’s main square on Friday night. The demonstrators tore up pictures of President Ali Abdullah Saleh and shouted slogans demanding his immediate resignation.
Saleh has been in power for three decades and tried to blunt unrest by promising not to run again. His term ends in 2013.
Yemen is the Arab world’s most impoverished nation and has become a haven for al-Qaida militants. Saleh’s government is riddled with corruption and has little control outside the capital. Its main source of income – oil – could run dry in a decade.
Yemen has been the site of anti-U.S. attacks dating back to the 2000 bombing of the USS Cole in Aden harbor, which killed 17 American sailors. Radical U.S.-born cleric Anwar al-Awlaki, thought to be hiding in Yemen, is suspected of having inspired some attacks, including the deadly 2009 shooting rampage at Fort Hood, Texas.

Posted on February 13, 2011 at 1:26pmThe World’s Largest Army. America ‘s Hunters? *
Sheer numbers men….
…The state of Wisconsin has gone an entire deer hunting season
without someone getting killed. That’s great. There were over
600,000 hunters. Allow me to restate that number. Over the last
two months, the eighth largest army in the world — more men under
arms than Iran ; more than France and Germany combined — deployed
to the woods of a single American state to help keep the deer
menace at bay. But that pales in comparison to the 750,000 who are
in the woods of Pennsylvania this week. Michigan ‘s 700,000
hunters have now returned home. Toss in a quarter million hunters
in West Virginia and it is literally the case that the hunters of
those four states alone would comprise the largest army in the
world. * America will forever be safe from foreign invasion of
troops with that kind of home-grown firepower.
*
Hunting – it’s not just a way to fill the freezer. It’s a matter
of national security!
Add Texas and then you’re talking about some serious fire-power.
Good information to know.
That’s why all enemies, foreign and domestic, want to see us
disarmed. Food for thought when considering gun
control. God and Guns keep America Free. Take those two away and
you have Kenya , Iran or China .

President Obama is elected, get over it.
Supporters of Hosni Mubarak were saying the same thing. Elected? So are the rest of the despots in the world. Hell Saddam Hussein got 100% of the vote. A great many who voted for the lying Progressive secret Marxist apologize for that vote and realize they were duped.

Posted on February 13, 2011 at 6:16amA heavy hand is needed in countries where a majority of the people believe that adulterers should be stoned to death (87% in Egypt), converts from Islam to Christianity should get the death penalty(84% in Egypt), and a thief should have his hands cut off (72% in Egypt). Their holy book, the quran, teaches that it is not murder to kill an infidel (us), and pedophilia is ok. This should come as no surprise considering that islam’s profit, Muhammed, was a pedophile who married Aisha when she was six and consumated the marriage when she was nine! In Yemen, way back in April 2010, Nojud Mohammad Ali, an EIGHT YEAR OLD GIRL, had to go to court to get a DIVORCE FROM A 30 YEAR OLD MAN that she was FORCED TO MARRY.
The Iranian Ayatollah Khomeni who married a 13 year old girl when he was 50 wrote this: “A man can have sexual pleasure from a child as young as a baby. However, he should not penetrate. If he penetrates and the child is harmed then he should be responsible for her subsistence all her life. This girl, however would not count as one of his four permanent wives. The man will not be eligible to marry the girl’s sister.” [The complete Persian text of this saying can be found in "Ayatollah Khomeini in Tahrirolvasyleh, Fourth Edition, Darol Elm, Qom"]
Islam is a cult of pedophiles, fanatics, and murderers who should be surpressed. Any government willing to do so-REGARDLESS OF THEIR METHODS OR MOTIVE- should be supported by any “infidel” who would like to keep his head!

This causes me to think that he knows something that we don’t, or something he is covering up, say, not being born in the US perhaps?
Right now 11 states are begining legislation requiring presidental hopefuls to prove they are consitionally eligable to be president. When these laws are passed the Imam will be found out and everything he has done; appointments, laws, rules etc will become null and void.
The Imam will not seek a second term should one state pass this law. But the truth will come out after 2012.
The Imam will return to his home country of Kenya and rule as the African despot he truely is.

I know boo hoo the civilians, horse pocky. If the others don‘t want to be dead then all they have to do is quit hiding these SOB’s not a hard one. I mean what are they going to do come over here and blow up airplanes? They already do that. Are the other countries going to complain? They already hate us. Posted on February 13, 2011 at 1:27amI just wonder aboput all this and how it all fits into the end-times. I think there are unmistakeable delevopements taking place for the Book of Rev. to take place. I believe that God will spare the US from being sucked into the One World New Order that is spreading. Although we could go either way. I wonder why not many people are talking about this? Is it they just don’t know or see it? The Middle East has to change and be against Israel. Islam will dominate and we will see someone rise out of I believe Europe, the Holy Roman Empire, that will bring a peace for a time. It is very interesting to see these things happening and coming to life. It is like watching a puzzle being put together. Glen is right in his predictions but he still hasn’t come around to see that the end of this age is in sight. I am not saying it will be next year, or ten years, or twenty. It will not be long though, then when Christ comes back He has rule for 1000 years. How great will that be! Boy will it be great to have Him here on this earth and in charge. But until that time we must go through these times. I pray for our leaders and believe that they are given to us for a reason. Obama is to show us the wrong path and for us to wake-up and get into office by voting in 2012 people to govern us in sound policy and not follow the world into the New World Order. I have heard that term for well over thirty years in Christian circles. It is strange to hear it being used by people who are trying to establish it around the world.

WASHINGTON — Hundreds of refugees who sought shelter in the United States during the early years of the Iraq war are coming under fresh scrutiny from U.S. government security officials for possible links to Al Qaeda’s affiliate in Iraq.
