See 60′s Rockers Crosby & Nash Occupy Wall Street For About 15 Minutes

From Woodstock to Zuccotti Park, on Tuesday afternoon OWS was a “scene,” as 50% of legendary, Rock & Roll Hall of Famers Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young showed up for a brief, four-song performance for the occupiers… and of course a swarm of media.
Thanks to the efforts of OWS’s press team (which includes a badge-wearing representative on-site daily at Zuccotti Park), virtually every media outlet in the city had been alerted to news that David Crosby and Graham Nash would be in the park for a performance Tuesday afternoon. And the fourth estate did not disappoint. A gaggle of reporters was on hand when the white-haired rockers arrived, performed four short songs, and lead the crowd in a chant that encouraged them to “keep going, keep going” before they scurried away to promote what they had just done.

Shortly after their appearance at Zuccotti, the boys sat down with Keith Olbermann, in an interview that lasted almost as long as their visit to OWS:
David Crosby and Graham Nash happened to be in New York City not for Occupy Wall Street, but for a concert appearance on their “Another Stoney Evening” tour in support of the album of the same name.

The efforts of the hippies you refer to kept a lot of 19 year olds from dying in Vietnam by raising the stakes on the politicians who are bought and paid for by the wealthy and the large corporations. We have the best politicians money can buy on both sides of the isle. And if you think them or the people who own them care about this country or its people you are a fool. These are the same wealthy and large corporations that are investing in China and Asia in order to exploit workers there. They don‘t create jobs and cutting their taxes won’t encourage them to do so. Demand creates jobs, the wealthy, like pension plans and equity funds, invest in companies to serve that demand. If wages continue to go down in the US, so will demand and thus jobs.

That‘s what I don’t understand about this OWS movement. They are all fired up and ready to take down the 1% with pitchforks and torches, but they barely say a word about the politicians. They are willing to re-elect any democrat who supports redistribution of wealth. If we elected honorable men to office, we would not have as many problems as we do. It takes TWO to complete a bribery transaction. The one offering the bribe and one accepting it. Actually, the politician is worse because he/she is the one that passes favorable legislation that favors the briber at the expense of the masses. They are the ones that should be imprisoned first.

I was one of the young men you speak of that was PREPARED to stand with my fellow countrymen and go to vietnam and fight communists. Instead of being allowed to go over and win that war for the freedom of the south vietnamees the who were slaughterd by the millions after we pulled out, it was the hippies that hamstrung us and got many of our troops needlessly killed fighting against world communisum and the red army, a nobel cause initiated by JFK, a WWII hero.
