Today, former PA Senator Rick Santorum officially announced his candidacy for president in 2012. Either because she was so excited, so overwhelmed, or just hot, a woman in the crowd fainted during the speech. Santorum had to stop his speech and his wife left the stage to go to the woman’s side:
While it was an awkward moment, the Hill reports Santorum eventually led the crowd in a silent prayer for the woman. She was apparently taken away on a stretcher.

Posted on June 6, 2011 at 6:24pmWe know we have a gentleman. Thats a good start. We know he believes in God. That is even better. We saw him put others first. We have not seen that. Looks like some democracks may have concerns. Time will tell.

Posted on June 6, 2011 at 5:55pmI thought it was honorable to have Santorum ask for everyone to pray for that woman, then he did so immediately.

Posted on June 6, 2011 at 5:42pmShe didn’t faint because of anything boring santorum did – it‘s just that she got a tweet photo from The Weiner and couldn’t handle it.

Posted on June 6, 2011 at 5:28pmTrue gentleman! Please keep him in prayer as he goes through this process of the run for President. There are a few really good people in the race and I just pray they don’t fall prey to uncalled for and ridiculous nasty junk and I most especially pray for their families because the press is brutal to any conservative candidate and family.

Posted on June 6, 2011 at 5:15pmSeems to me that if you want to run for president, you should be able to win a senate seat…no?
Report Post »Chet Hempstead
Posted on June 6, 2011 at 6:02pmUsually. Abraham Lincoln and George H.W. Bush both ran for Senate and lost, but went on to be elected President. Benjamin Harrison was the only Senator to lose a reelection bid but later win a Presidential election, so it can happen. However, I am definitely not saying that Rick Santorum is someone who can pull it off.

Posted on June 6, 2011 at 5:01pmo.k. Blazers lets give Santorum a break. He is a conservative. Way to much do we disparage all the republican canidates for one thing or another. None are perfect and I don’t like rhinos any better than the rest of us but I would vote for Castro before Obummer. At least he’s old enough to croak soon

Posted on June 6, 2011 at 6:05pmIt does show character. no doubt about it. Think, it’s potentially the biggest move in his career to date. It’s his “moment,” he sees a need and he’s making sure the other person is being taken care of to the point of stepping off the stage and then leading the people to pray. That’s the kind of pres I want! Not sure if he’s my guy but, glad to see there are still good men in politics.
