See Hilarious Video of a 6th Grader Asking Chris Christie to Write Him an Excuse Note for School

6th Grader Asks Chris Christie to Write Him an Excuse Note for School

Rather than faking an illness to excuse his absence from school, a sixth grader asked New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie if he’d be willing to write him a note explaining his failure to attend. Christie, who complied, received the hilarious request from the young boy who was skipping class to attend his town hall meeting this week.

“I kind of need a note for school,” 11-year-old Peter Schwartz told the governor, as the crowd laughed.

Christie, who clearly thought the Schwartz’s request was worth fulfilling, wrote a brief note on the backside of a “reserved seating” sign and handed it back to the child.

“It just says, ‘Please excuse Peter from school today. He was with me,’” Christie said.

Later, during the question and answer portion of the event, Christie called on Schwartz, who asked what he should do about being bullied by an individual in authority. The governor told him to tell his parents and to report it to the individual’s boss.

This guy is a Big Guv, anti- liberty stooge. Sure, he’s tough on public unions(which should not exist), but he is conservative on much less. The media is hyping him up for another future conservative imposter establishment proven presidential candidate. . He would tow the establishment agenda with great loyalty.

Hello, my name is Paige Becica and I go to the same school as Peter. I dont think its fair that he talks about bullying and how its wrong, but just a day before he stabbed me with a needle! about 4-5 inches long! he stabbed my shoulder blade, and it went through my think jacket, it wasnt for self defense either!! It was for his own ejoyment, and amusement! I didnt know what to do when my arm, neck, and back went numb and tingly so i told the principle that he stabbed me, and now because I said that he stabbed me with a needle, drew blood, and went to the doctor he thinks its bullying. My arm really hurts now too. I just want people to understand that he isnt as innocent as he seems. I already called the cops for abuse and they were there the same day as Mr. Christie (before him actually) please someone help bring this to the surface!

If this is true why didn’t the police arrest him for assault. If not true, what is your reason for this post? Seems odd that someone would post this kind of message. Why would you need someone to help you spread the word on a 6th grade kid? I don’t understand what you are trying to achieve here.

I see you started an account recently. I assume because of the horrible felony assault done to you and need to look for people who would look at the facts of the incident you brought this issue up at Blaze instead of NBC, who uses some “template” to twist the facts as given to fit an agenda. Please go to your local police department and report this assault so justice can be served.

Methinks that your post is to well typed and spelled for a 6ht grader. Plus, there is a very slim possibility that the one person this kid supposidly bullied happens to read the blaze and happened to come upon this story. I don’t know of any 6th greader that reads news websites. But if by some random chance you are truthful, you do know that when a boy picks on you at that age, he really just likes you. Congradulations!!!!

Obviously the kid is getting a better education attenting a town hall meeting than he would get in school. This is what we need, more kids interesting in what is going on around them politically. He’s already smarter than many college students, and maybe even his teacher. If it’s not counted as an excused absence, at least the boy will learn another life lesson about teachers, unions and politics.

    News update:

The child took the excuse signed by Governor Christie to the school, where he presented it to his teacher, and was immediately sent for a 45 minute observation with the school’s counselor. Afterwards, the child was released into Child Protective Services custody. It seems that the teacher’s unions considers the boy being in close proximity to Mr. Christie as a form of child abuse.

Later, it was revealed that the school counselor, principal, and several teachers formed a Social Awareness Committee“ aimed at deterring further children from ”such further traumatic experiences.”

According to one of the participants (quote): “We work very hard on a day by day basis, working diligently to give this child a proper education. The last thing we want to see is another innocent child being innocently exposed to the truth.”

Governor Christie would not return our phone calls concerning this turn in events.

He will not take Christie’s note “out of context” or sell it to the highest bidding news-service. He will just give it to his teacher, next day. I wa born in Evinston, Illinois/’48…when I was in mid-gradeschool, I would have loved to have met “old” Everet Dirkson, and had a “note” from him for my teacher…he was a breath of fresh air in a stale old [booooring] sennate.
