See It to Believe It: Miracle 3/4-Court Buzzer Beater Caps Double Overtime College Hoops Game

When two teams trade go-ahead threes in the final 10 seconds of double overtime, that usually qualifies as a memorable finish.
In Friday night’s game between Cal Poly Pomona and Cal State Dominguez Hills, however, that was merely the appetizer.
Inbounding with six tenths of a second remaining after Robert Willhite’s off-balance three put Cal State Dominguez Hills ahead by one, Cal Poly Pomona put the ball in the hands of guard Mitchel Anderson. The 6-foot-4 junior heaved a three-quarters court prayer that somehow went in, giving the host Broncos an incredible 60-58 win.

Posted on February 27, 2012 at 12:03amIt’s amazing how the typical American can get excited over a sporting event or some garbage TV show like American Idol ..and yet have zero interest in politics. We are a failing society who is about to become extinct, and I‘m amazed we can’t as a society educate these same students enough to make clear sensible political decisions in politics..

Posted on February 27, 2012 at 2:14amI understand it. With some talent, hard work and a little luck, the Broncos won. People love to see somebody win. When it comes to politics, almost everybody loses. Monitoring politics is like watching the weather channel and trying predict how much time you have to prepare before the left-wing hurricane comes to destroy your country.

Posted on February 26, 2012 at 2:11pmI think what‘s more amazing than the shot was the fact that a riot didn’t break out afterwards. There were no shootings, no stabbings, no fires, that‘s what’s truly amazing. It was just a normal celebration.

Look for him, he is in a red shirt at the top of the court running to the center like everyone else and some guy in a yellow shirt creams him.

Posted on February 26, 2012 at 1:04pmNo doubt. If sports fans had half the passion for politics as they do about sports perhaps we wouldn’t be $16 trillion in debt and on the verge of societal breakdown. And the stupid sports fanatics are too obsessed with sports to even realize it! I’m a sports fan, but much less so now than I used to be because a lot of my sports time has been consumed by things that actually affect my life, like politics.
How about that NBA dunk contest…what is with guys using props like cars and other people to dunk over? The good ol’ days were the days of Jordan and Wilkins, even JR Rider just coming up with creative dunks that didn’t require vehicles, blindfolds, or help from other people. Now style is all that matters, which makes sense since the NBA itself is more about style than about substance. It’s becoming one of the most unwatchable sports around.
