See One Woman Beg Chris Christie to Run for President — And His Response

We posted a story Tuesday night about Chris Christie tearing into Obama but signaling he wouldn’t run for President during a speech at the Reagan Library. But have you seen the passionate, and emotional, question by one audience member who begged Christie to run? Here it is.

The question was the final one of the night, and was delivered by a woman who said that Christie must run because “your country needs you:”

The woman’s question prompted a standing ovation from the crowd.

“It’s extraordinarily flattering,” Christie responded. “But by the same token, that heartfelt message you gave me is also not a reason to do it, that reason has to exist inside of me.”

That’s it for now — until the next round of Christie 2012 speculation begins.

I don’t have any problem with the GOP field, Just with Perry and Romney, We cant have rinos on the border issue and we can have rinos on domestic issues, that would be worse than Obama, because that would make the younger votes believe that is what republicans are, demi-progressives and the only parties that would then demonstrate true conservatism would be very small third parties (I like the Libertarian Party) But nobody thinks they can win, and along with the lack of dialogue about whether the government needs to be deciding which freedoms are too harmful to us to be allowed, is letting people believe that if the GOP gets a wishy-washy candidate that they can’t vote their mind and conscience without effectively throwing away their vote because it happens to be a third party,

I respectfully disagree, if you don’t like a GOP candidate, please pick a third party that better represents your beliefs and LET THE COUNTRY SEE one more vote for the constitution party or libertarian party. Your conscience, your vote, your responsibility.

Though he has his faults, CC is a good man and speaks his mind and his heart. As president, he might do some things “we” don’t like…but he’ll never hide it, he’ll explain why he did it, and it will never be for currupt reasons.

Chris Christie would steamroll Obama into the pavement. In fact, I strongly believe that if he announced he was running…it would sound the death knell for Obama within the DNC, and he would suddenly have health problems making a 2nd term impossible and we would have Hillary as the democratic nominee.

The rest of the RNC candidates are a shot in the dark at beating Obama.

Ya know what?! I would much rather have someone that I don’t agree with on everything but who speaks from the heart on what he believes and walks the walk so to speak instead of what we have now. There‘s a possiblity for all of us that we may be wrong on somethings and I want a leader who will stand up to even us conservatives and tell us we’re wrong if he believes we are but who will be willing to have an open honest debate about it instead of lying to us and dancing around demonizing us for disagreement. What I like about Christie is in all that time he fought with the teachers unions, I didn’t hear him ever bash them personally he just said they were wrong! I love that people need to hear they‘re wrong when they are and I want a strong leader who is even willing to stand up to his own base and tell them they’re wrong when they are. I can disagree with some of what he stands for but is he truly leading from a good place? I think from what I’ve seen the answer is yes. Truth has no agenda.

New Jersey is the “Promised Land” for illegals. Because of Christie’s laissez faire attitude toward this awful problem, this state is awash in social security and medicaid welching, crime and corruption that go along with the tsunami of illegals living here happily sucking off the teat of government freebies.

I prefer Kasich‘s and Walker’s more conservative views on immigration, gun laws and global warming. Christie says he won’t run until he feels it inside. Fair enough. Moses wasn’t very eager to lead Israel either. But sometimes the “feeling” inside that impels one to accept leadership, or the pursuit of it, is the kick in the pants from God and the people to get out there.

Agreed. Watch Governor Christie’s body language. He was deeply affected by the lady’s plea for him to run. He has an inner strength that is needed to give America pride again. When he said he was just a kid from New Jersey, it was a humble statement. He is not a slick politician. He is straight forward but he is also methodical. He thinks before and as he speaks. He has character and I believe he is not afraid to have his decisions questioned.

I was so looking forward to seeing another establishment RINO wander down to the watering hole to drink. Have any of you ever watched the Discovery channel? What happens when a fat, dusty old RINO wanders into the clear, clean pool? He muddies the water and screws it up for everyone except the crocodile waiting to pick off the the naive baby elephant. As I recall, the last four pachyderms were named George, Bob, George, and John. That worked out just wonderfully — the Progressive ball never stopped its steady creep toward the goal line.

If a candidate is touted by the “intellectuals,“ or ”elites,” like Crispy Creme Christie, just remember that if they didn’t refer to themselves and each other as intellectuals or elites, they’d never hear the words spoken again. Pick the strongest conservative and ignore the nonsense that the Independents won’t vote for a conservative.

Let’s talk about Independent voters in the 2010 races. Start with the “loser” Christine O’Donnell, she lost the Independents by just three percentage points at 48%-45% with no help from Rs. Nevada’s Sharron Angle defeated Reid among independents 48%-44%, and Colorado’s Joe Buck won independents by an astonishing16-point margin (53%-37%).

If we factor the 2010 Senate races into the electability argument, we must also mention the candidates in Florida and Wisconsin. Both Marco Rubio and Ron Johnson won while articulating a stronger conservative message than anyone in the entire U.S. Sena

With all do respect, I really wish people would stop throwing out the term RINO. One person‘s definition of RINO seems to be different than other people’s definition of RINO,the same goes with the word conservative. I for example was leaning toward Perry when he entered the race but after studying his record and Romney’s record and many accomplishments in the private sector, I have reached the conclusion that Romney is far more conservative than Perry especially on immigration. I am a healthcare consultant and the charges that Romneycare is just like obamacare is incorrect on so many levels. I am a very conservative person and I like many others was sickened to have to vote for McCain. McCain and Perry to me are one in the same. Career politicians with little intelligence propped up by big money donors. Perry is no conservative!

In the same speech he encouraged Republicans in Congress to compromise with Democrats. He characterized it as the right way to govern. Is that what everyone wants, to compromise with people we know are dead wrong? A little compromise around the edges on issues where we are close to agreement (I can’t think of many) is fine and Republicans in Congress are already doing that. What would you like them to compromise on Chris? How much compromising did the Dems do when they shoved Obamacare down our throats Chris? With today’s Democrat, obstructionism is better than compromise. I have a feeling that not many conservatives will be begging him to run next time around.

Which leaves us with the batch of lukewarm candidates we have to choose from. Still no one of conviction in the race. So thus far I have no horse in the race. I refuse to compromise again as I did with McCain. One last point….we are faced once again with voting against someone…not for someone. Think it over. That is a significant problem in this country. That is a negative motivation at its core. Not a strong sustaining motivator over the long haul.

Here is why Christie is SO POPULAR! He speaks from the heart and NOT a teleprompter. He is personally responsible for JAILING criminal politicians; those on the take and thus, those who govern AGAINST the will of the people. He says what he means and MEANS what he says, just like Reagan. Christie believes b. hussein is a terrible leader; b. hussein acts to demoralize Americans, pit one class of people against another in our Country, b. hussien wants hard working Americans punished and wants to increase the number of Americans who are oppressed and dependent on the government for even the food they eat, and demonizes any American who wants the freedom guaranteed by our Constitution to achieve the American Dream! Christie believes b. hussein is a dangerous for America; he and his coherts had control of congress from 1/2007 until 1/2010 and in those 48 months, they OVERSPENT trillions of dollars weakening our Country here at home and in the eyes of the world, destroying our economy and growing the amount of citizens dependent on the government to levels never before seen in America! Best thing about these beliefs of Chris Christie is that he has the proof backing up his beliefs and he TOLD THE AMERICAN PEOPLE these exact beliefs last night at the Reagan Library! America needs a Chris Christie, because if America has b. hussein much longer, those of us who LOVE AMERICA will have lost her. Even ONE MARXIST in our White House is ONE TOO MANY! We need more conservative; or at least Republican Gov’s and Chris is holding his own quite nicely in a a state that; five years ago, would never have elected him.

I like Christie. But I do not want him to run at this time. I want to see what happens in Jersey. He made changes lets see how they work out before we put in the highest position of the land.

Does Christie believe that this woman and this crowd will be as passionate in 2016?

    Roll the dice Christie.

I think you’re right! After Herman Cain leads this country back to prosperity in two years, I have no doubt that no one will remember Chris Christie’s name after four.

Lots of people are not passionate about Christie now because Christie is as far left as Huntsman.

As I have been saying for the past year,If Christie thinks he can beat Obama he has a moral obligation to enter the race.
