See Paul Ryan Brush Off a Heckler at Iowa State Fair

By now, it‘s obvious that Mitt Romney’s selection of Congressman Paul Ryan as his running mate has fundamentally shifted the dynamic of the Presidential race. Everyone, whether liberal or conservative, seems to agree on that. However, what is not clear is how Ryan has shifted the race. Despite Democratic bravado suggesting that his budget plan will turn off seniors and drive independents into the arms of the Obama campaign, early signs are showing precisely the opposite happening. Indeed, following Ryan’s selection as Vice President, his approval rating more than doubled among Democrats. Moreover, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee has already been reduced to sending out panicked fundraising emails following the displays of enthusiasm for Ryan in his home district (which itself leans Democratic).

In short, the choice of Ryan has the potential to provide either a wellspring of smugness or a spontaneous outpouring of hysterics from the Left. Today, at the Iowa State Fair, the hysterics got their day in the sun when two women began heckling Ryan barely over a minute into his stump speech. They were shortly escorted from the event by police.

Ryan didn’t miss a beat in responding. “They must not be from Iowa or Wisconsin,” he laughed.

Ryan was lucky to get off with only a pubescent tongue lashing. His volunteers were not so fortunate. According to Buzzfeed, a Ryan volunteer was punched by one of the two hecklers, who aside from yelling at Ryan, had also rushed the stage.

Other, less disruptive heckling persisted throughout the event. Neither Ryan nor the crowd seemed fazed.

When it comes to Bolsheviks raising he*l, it’s totally acceptable. The radical left is expected to act like a bunch of clowns yelling down people. They certainly aren’t held to the same standard that conservatives are. What’s more, the “chosen people” ran Marxist Media won’t say anything in their media about how uncivilized these Bolsheviks act. If you would of had someone heckle Obama, it would have been the headlines for 3 days accusing them of being Tea Party terrorists.

Any Republican has an uphill battle to win an election since the “chosen people” owned Marxist Media is just a propaganda arm of the Democratic Party (Communist Party, Worker’s Party, Labor Party, Bolshevik Party, People’s Party) or whatever name they go by now.

Would ya’ just look at that ?
      Paul Ryan rockin’ the USA-
yep, Thank God, America’s finally, got themselves a fresh, new Rock Star.
      I can hear
Lincoin, Washington, all our Founding Fathers, Military Veterans & Braveheart Breitbart
CHEERING him on from above !

Remember, Oblameo stiffed the 100th Anniverasry of the Boy Scouts
to wag his skinny tail on that henfest, “The View”-
there is no doubt, WHICH venue Paul “Rockin’” Ryan would have shown up at ?

Oblameo’s “Hope & Change“ motto quickly turned to ”Mope & Blame”-
      in a very ironic way,
the Romny/Ryan team is the REAL ‘Hope & Change”-
EVERYBODY knows that now, .everyone but Obama-
but I sense, even THEY know Rockin‘ Ryan’s voice IS America’s voice.
It’s time for the Commie Camp to tear down their tent,
pack up their beans & retreat back to Chicago !
All the nitwits, I know who voted for Oblameo
      are NOW excited about Ryan,
they might not say it but you can see it in their faces
THAT same feeling will guide them in the voting booth.

Axelrod knows Oblameo just got the final boot-
just look at his desperate face, trying to convince himself, otherwise.

God shed his GRACE on thee…and this time, it came, in the name of Paul Ryan !

You can already feel the malaise dissipate
& the SPIRIT of America rising, again.
Positive thinking & hard work will result in a positive outcome.

Yes, we BUILT America with our toil, sweat & blood
and NOBODY’s going to EVER take that away.

      @FatFreedom

You do realize Paul is even more morally corrupt? Anyone that says they are against “X” then inserts “X” into a bill that has no chance of failure so that he can vote against said bill containing “X” is morally inept and a LIAR. Paul is just as corrupt as any other career politicion. If the old bag thought pork projects were so immoral or unconstitutional he would never have inserted them. Under his watch his distric has more than QUADRUPLED the amount of returns back to the area in federal $$. More than even Pelosi’s district has increased.

You Paulbots think he, or ANY man, could possibley be the solution to our problems and that beyond wrong. It is also against the beliefs of our founders. During the primaries the PEOPLE of the nation did not choose Paul. However, his supporters were, and are, the most rabid. Much like the OWS they attend the meetings of other candidates and shout them down to prevent them from speaking. They have a right to speak but not to prevent others from doing so. Mad that the PEOPLE discounted their Chosen Leader, Paulbots even tried to prevent conventions. The PEOPLE made the choice, isn’t that what you guys always say is most important? The PEOPLE?

I guess just like Paul’s selective moral outrage on pork projects, you too believe the PEOPLE don‘t know what’s best for themselves….

Obama criticizied Ryan from just a few miles away and planted a
“subliminal ” message – stirring his supporters up and blaming
RYAN and the Reps AS THE REASON THEIR FARM BILL IS BLOCKED.
Obama also informed that crowd of Ryan’s whereabouts for “the next few days.”

In MY opinion, Obama encouraged HIS SUPPORTERS TO APPROACH
AND HECKLE Ryan about the Farm Bill, by saying:

“So if you happen to see Congressman Ryan,
tell him how important this farm bill is to Iowa and our rural communities.”

And- that is exactly what happened.

Now, IF Ryan or anyone else had done this – THEY would be accused of
plotting or encouraging possible harm to Obama.

Hey, I think it’s good when the Liberal loons show up,
it’s a constant reminder of “Good vs. Evil”-
truly the best MOTIVATOR of all.

Ironically, they are proving our point, their just too DUMB to know it.

So what, if they stink up the joint for a few minutes ?

Rockin’ Ryan handled them like a showman & scored another victory
and the ugly-hearts got their big, fat butts hauled away, by the authority they despise…
      a win-win situation all around !

Rockin’ Ryan should cue up the soundtrack music
from “The Good, the Bad & the Ugly”
and let it rip full-blast whenever the hoodlums go wild.

Only wish, the great Clint Eastwood could ride in, on his Pretty Pony,
at any given moment, trample their big, fat, rabid butts
& squash his ashes out, on their greasey, radical heads.
THAT, I would pay to see.

Maybe, Rockin’ Ryan needs to piece that bit of video together
& play it on big-screen with the iconic music-
every time, the commies try to disrupt his speech…
      now, THAT would be
creatively cool, entertaining & campaign “tongue-in-cheek” savvy !

Can you imagine liberals loons & goons-
they’d be more dazed & confused, than ever
but the patriotic, American crowd would LOVE it.

If this campaign is about anything-
it is ALL about the good, the bad & the ugly…people, ideals & mindset.
The liberals have a cast of characters
who would easily fit the bill of the Bad & the Ugly, in no time at all.

Republicorp, on point one I call BS. You (should) know why RP was never elevated to any real leadership position in the R party. He would not sell out his principles, or the principles of our Constitution, for the promise of an elevated position within the party. The last three Speakers of the House for the R’s have been Gingrich, Hastert and Boehner. The party establishment values the boys that will get in line and march in the direction in which the party wants. They don’t reward bold thinkers, or constitutionalists.

On your second point I agree with you. We Paulites have more than our share of obnoxious demagogues. But, please trust me on this; the majority of us aren’t like that. And we don’t see RP as a Messiah. We see him as a common sense American who would help our Republic, were he the POTUS, in many ways to begin a return to our Constitutional roots.

Unfortunately the demagogues just happen to be the most vocal part of our group, especially in forums like this. But they aren’t the majority of the group. We all have our crosses to bear, amigo. Peace.

They will lose the ability to funnel the largesse to their buddies ala Solyndra, the Unions, etc. The largesse will continue but the R‘s will give it to their buddies instead of the buddies of the D’s. But I heard from staunch fiscal-conservative constituents who refused to be silent about Ryan’s complicity. He gave one of the most hysterical speeches in the rush to pass TARP last fall; voted for the auto bailout; and voted with the Barney Frank-Nancy Pelosi AIG bonus-bashing stampede. Milwaukee blogger Nick Schweitzer wrote: “He ought to be apologizing for his previous votes, not pretending he was being responsible the entire time, but I don’t see one bit of regret for what he did previously. And I‘ll be damned if I’m going to let him get away with it.” http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2009/04/17/the_million_taxpayer_march_96036.html

All Pro, thanks for your vetting of Paul Ryan. I‘ll put his ’failures’ up against losing our country any day.

Ryan handled himself well, BUT, uh, where is the Secret Service?

That was the man in the blue button up shirt. Usually they won’t respond to a heckler like that unless it presents an obvious danger. Some obese ******* like she appeared to be posed no threat except to a Big Mac.

But if you watch you can see him look for USSS or another memeber of the protective detail to do something.

I had the opportunity to be at the Fair yesterday to see Ryan. As for the hecklers, there is little that can be done — it’s a public space and the SecServ and Troopers kind of have their hands tied. UNTIL they climbed on the stage. The Stage is considered private property – no one can be up there without permission.

I do wonder though, if it was the president up there and I went on the stage, would I find a high powered projectile passing through me? Ryan is going to be the focal point on attacks now — he will need the SecServ to be at their best…

What bothered me was the protester behind the banner — a Vet that had an Obama2012 placard and was shouting him down. What the he!! has the president done for any Vet? I don’t get it. He did get physical with some of the people in the crowd who were recording him on their phones.

It’s just plain sad that this is what “debate” has come down to in this country — who can shout down and intimidate the other. God help us…

      @Sigmasixfour

      Regarding your remark:
“What bothered me was the protester behind the banner — a Vet that had an Obama2012 placard and was shouting him down. What the he!! has the president done for any Vet? ”

      Understand your feeling-
but don’t be so sure that person was actually a “Vet” and not a liberal “plant”.
I am not saying he had to be one or the other
but the left knows WE love our Military & Vets-
      so it’s a tactic they use…almost TROLL-like.
to plant someone else into the venue appearing to be someone their not….to instigate.

They hate the Mitary & Vets
but they will use our love & respect for them to try to upset.
That guy was probably some Union thug, “portraying” a Vet…to get your goat.

It‘s a tactic they’ve used at lots of previous Tea Party events, etc.
and it‘s one they’ll continue to use…so dont let it upset you-
in reality, the guy is one of ‘their” guys, pretending to be an angry Vet.

It’s hard for us to imagine how disrepectful their tactics are
because we are so NOT like that,
but we do KNOW they will do anything, NOTHING is beneath them
      & once America recognizes that-
we’ll always be one step ahead !

Hecklers are just like weeds. They pop up just about anywhere. Just have to pull them out by the roots.

Indeed, it speaks well of Ryan in the manner he handled them.

The main part now is how soon will the full might of the Unions, Extremists and Occupies ever present bands of ‘useful idiots’ be unleashed against Ryan/Romney and their security at these events. I honestly can say that, given Obamas instability of mind and narcissism, the more his pending defeat looms, he may even order their terminiation via the executive order.

I can never put ANYTHING past them.

      CatB:

I have to say this much, as I deal and post on a growing range of sites; there is more and more conservatives who are using references to counter the libertine trolls and their leadership with the books of Federalist Papers, Broke, Cowards (in the last few days) and others I have heard Glenn mention, along with being able to post the truth of articles spoken by candidates of all sides.

Especially the endless lies of Obama which they are countering with truth.

We have a chance; after Obama goes down in November, then the true danger will be at hand until Romney is sworn in. God willing, we will avoid a civil war incited by Obama.

Well, Pawlenty does have two personalities. Maybe it was Lindsey Grrrahhhmm and Pawlently, dressed as women, just to throw everyone off track. Ryan is soo very conservative, at least that is what the MSM is saying. And that is supposed to be a bad thing?
