See Romney’s Heated Exchange With Angry, Heckling Crowd in Iowa

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney faced an angry crowd at the Iowa State Fair on Thursday, and it led to a heated exchange with the early GOP frontrunner.
A group of people attending an outdoor speech of Romney’s at one point interrupted his question-and-answer session with chants of “Wall Street greed.”
One questioner asked the GOP presidential candidate what he would do to strengthen Social Security. That voter didn‘t like Romney’s pledge not to raise taxes, and interrupted him, shouting and screaming over the candidate as he tried to answer.
At one point, Romney frustratingly pointed at the crowd and told them to give him a chance to answer. After a minutes-long exchange with Romney and the crowd shouting over each other, Romney said, “If you want to speak, you can. But it’s my turn.”
As he wrapped up, he joked, “These guys up front won’t be voting for me.”

I’d rather Romney be a last resort as a opposed to the front runner, because this man will NOT change anything in Washington. You wanna know why? Because he doesn’t WANT to change anything. He’s got no passion. There’s no fire there whatsoever.

Posted on August 11, 2011 at 4:59pm@MDLwoods I am with 10th amendment. I am sick and tired of voting for the “lesser of two evils” It is going to take more than a “R” for someone to get my vote from now on.
Report Post »During the last presidential election I voted for Bob Barr. I knew Bob had less than a snowballs chance in hell of winning but I knew that at least I was voting for a man with conservative values, instead of a progressive parading around as a conservative.
I sleep well knowing that I voted my conscience and that I did not elect the mess we are in.
I hope I have the opportunity to vote for Ron Paul or Gary Johnson this time around, but If not I will vote with the libertarians again.
I think the reason we have such horrible politicians is because people like you vote for them simply based on party affiliation. Lets start voting for candidates based on their record and principles not by which team they are on. With the majority of the politicians today the only difference between them is the R and the D.

I think you must have watched some tea party event that I havent’. The ones I saw the tea party and other conservative types were quite civily asking questions and in many cases, the progressive candidates were not allowing them to finish or outright mocking them and laughing at them. Then, of course, the audience members got angry.
Certainly there are people who will at first issue start shouting and acting like a spoiled little brat child — those types are on both sides. But, for the most part, the tea party people I have seen are civil, are orderly, obey laws and order, and are much more generous and helpful than any progressive I have ever met.
Now, on the other hand, nearly every event I have seen that was conservative in anture, it alwasy seems some group of far left nutjobs stroll in and all begin chanting/hollering/blocking views, etc. They do not want to even allow the speaker to make their case. That is nothing short of childish and bratish and very un-adult like. Spoiled brat children need to be put in playpens, not allowed out in public.

Okay then, since you are so informed, how is he a “career” politician? During his life time he has held office once, as a conservative governor of a very liberal state, during which time he did not accept salary and paid for his personal and political travel himself (see Phillips, Frank; Brian C. Mooney (June 21, 2006). “Taxpayers face leap in governor’s travel costs”. Boston Globe. Retrieved 2007-04-20.).
You have no idea what you are talking about. Romney might be a lot of things, but he is not a “career” politician. His career has been in the private sector, where he “founded Bain Capital, one of the nation’s most successful venture capital and investment companies. From 1978 to 1984, Mr. Romney was a Vice President at Bain & Company, Inc. Following a period of decline after Romney’s departure, he returned as CEO several years later and engineered a complete recovery. Today, Bain & Company employs more than 2,000 people in 25 offices worldwide.” (see http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?uid=4384497711&topic=3174)
I have confidence in Romney’s ability to lead our economy into recovery, and I have confidence in his morals because I share them. I think he is an honest man, who is not above admitting when he has made a mistake. He is not a Washington insider, and is not part of the establishment.
Maybe you could just back up your assertion that Romney is a “career” politician with just one example, then you might have a leg to st

Is he not pursuing a place in Washington? Sounds like more than a “hobby” to me. Obama was not a “career” Politician but he was groomed by the elite for the job. Same with this clown. IMO, he is just another hand-picked puppet by the Global elite to appease the “conservatives” he has no real substantive solutions to get this Country on track. But what is it then that makes you think he is a “hand picked puppet”? Is it the hair? Come on man! Arm yourself with knowledge. All I’m asking for here is some evidence to back up your reasoning.
As I said in my post, he has held office once, as governor in Massachuttes. Is that what makes him a “career” politician. Did you not notice the fact that he did not accept pay and paid for his own personal and political travel expenses during that time?
I see more evidence in his record that he desires to help and serve our country, spending millions of his own fortune in the process.

Posted on August 11, 2011 at 1:54pmI will vote for Bachmann if she wants to secure our borders 100%. If she wants to eliminate the IRS and the “IncomeTax” and have a flat, federal, retail sales tax for EVERYBODY. So no one gets away without paying federal “income” Tax, anymore. Also we have to quit the U.N. She should also endorse my Constitutional rights and recognize they are not to be infringed upon. She should also bring all of military men and women home from abroad. The Constitution says common DEFENSE. not OFFENSE. She must acknowledge the evil, Military Industrial Complex, and vow to end it’s reign here in the United States political arena.

Sad, but true, the media rules. The media will only give us three choices, romney/perry,hunsman, and all three are pure blood RINOs

Posted on August 11, 2011 at 5:36pmIt’s very noticeable that those that blame the tea party and Bachmann, obviously know nothing about the tea party except what they’ve heard in liberal talking points from media and politicians. The tea party was the only group that was trying to really balance the budget, not raise the debt ceiling, and get spending under control. The president, the rinos in the Republican party, and the liberals all were trying to cut the legs out from under them and did. Now, you have a downgrade and debt ceiling increase that will only increase inflation, which in turn will eat up any money one might have saved and increase costs for everyone. So, just keep buying into the blame game of the tea party, run your country into the ground, and help get the commie in chief get re-elected.

Posted on August 11, 2011 at 1:51pmThat’s true. Wouldn’t it be nice to have some respect for your opponent though? I‘ve noticed during conversations with both my left and right friends that they ask questions they don’t really care to hear the answer on. They just want to tell me what they think. Many of them will asked loaded questions so that they can give me their opinion or debate my stance on an issue. You can tell that they aren’t actively listening, but instead are waiting (hopefully) for their turn to speak. Closed ears = closed minds.
At the same time, it is my responsibility to respect their opinion even if I don’t agree with it. I hope for a day when we can agree to disagree without trying to out scream each other.
